2 Chroniques 28
1 Achaz avait vingt ans lorsqu’il devint roi, et il régna seize ans à Jérusalem. Il ne fit pas ce qui est droit aux yeux de Yahweh, comme avait fait David, son père.
[was] a son of Twenty year[s] Ahaz when became king he and six-teen year[s] he reigned in Jerusalem and not he did the right in [the] eyes of Yahweh like David ancestor his.
2 Il marcha dans les voies des rois d’Israël, et même il fit des images en fonte pour les Baals.
And he walked in [the] ways of [the] kings of Israel and also molten images he made for the Baals.
3 Il brûla des parfums dans la vallée de Ben-Hinnom, et il fit passer ses fils par le feu, selon les abominations des nations que Yahweh avait chassées devant les enfants d’Israël.
And he he made smoke in [the] valley of Ben Hinnom and he burned sons his in the fire according to [the] abominations of the nations which he dispossessed Yahweh from before [the] people of Israel.
4 Il offrait des sacrifices et des parfums aux hauts lieux, sur les collines et sous tout arbre vert.
And he sacrificed and he made smoke at the high places and on the hills and under every tree luxuriant.
5 Yahweh, son Dieu, le livra entre les mains du roi de Syrie; les Syriens le battirent et lui firent un grand nombre de prisonniers, qu’ ils emmenèrent à Damas. Il fut aussi livré entre les mains du roi d’Israël, qui le frappa d’une grande défaite.
And he gave him Yahweh God his in [the] hand of [the] king of Aram and they defeated him and they took captive from him a group of captives large and they brought [them] Damascus and also in [the] hand of [the] king of Israel he was given and he defeated him a defeat great.
6 Phacée, fils de Romélias, tua en Juda dans un seul jour cent vingt mille hommes, tous vaillants, parce qu’ils avaient abandonné Yahweh, le Dieu de leurs pères.
And he killed Pekah [the] son of Remaliah among Judah one hundred and twenty thousand in a day one all [were] sons of strength because had forsaken they Yahweh [the] God of ancestors their.
7 Zéchri, guerrier d’Éphraïm, tua Maasias, fils du roi, et Ezrica, chef de la maison royale, et Elcana, le second après le roi.
And he killed Zikri - warrior of Ephraim Maaseiah [the] son of the king and Azrikam [the] officer of the house and Elkanah [the] second of the king.
8 Les enfants d’Israël firent parmi leurs frères deux cent mille prisonniers, femmes, fils et filles, et ils leur prirent un butin considérable et ils emmenèrent le butin à Samarie.
And they took captive [the] people of Israel of relatives their two hundred thousand women sons and daughters and also booty much they plundered from them and they brought the booty to Samaria.
9 Il y avait là un prophète de Yahweh, nommé Oded. Sortant au-devant de l’armée qui revenait à Samarie, il leur dit: « Voici que, dans sa colère contre, Juda, Yahweh, le Dieu de vos pères, les a livrés entre vos mains; et vous les avez tués avec une fureur qui a atteint jusqu’au ciel.
And there he was a prophet of Yahweh [was] Oded name his and he went out before the army which was coming to Samaria and he said to them here! in [the] wrath of Yahweh [the] God of ancestors your towards Judah he gave them in hand your and you have killed among them in a rage [which] to to the heavens it has reached.
10 Et maintenant, vous songez à soumettre les enfants de Juda et de Jérusalem pour qu’ils soient vos serviteurs et vos servantes! Mais vous, n’avez-vous pas aussi des offenses à l’égard de Yahweh, votre Dieu?
And now [the] people of Judah and Jerusalem you [are] saying to subjugate to [male] slaves and to female slaves for yourselves ¿ not certainly you with you [are] guilt to Yahweh God your.
11 Et maintenant, écoutez-moi, et renvoyez ces captifs que vous avez faits parmi vos frères, car l’ardeur de la colère de Yahweh est sur vous. »
And therefore listen to me and return the group of captives which you have taken captive from relatives your for [the] burning of [the] anger of Yahweh [is] towards you.
12 Quelques-uns d’entre les chefs des enfants d’Éphraïm, Azarias, fils de Johanan, Barachias, fils de Mosollamoth, Ézéchias, fils de Sellum, et Amasa, fils d’Adali, s’élevèrent contre ceux qui revenaient de l’armée,
And they rose up men some of [the] leaders of [the] descendants of Ephraim Azariah [the] son of Jehohanan Berekiah [the] son of Meshillemoth and Jechizkiah [the] son of Shallum and Amasa [the] son of Hadlai on the [ones who] were coming from the war.
13 et leur dirent: « Vous ne ferez point entrer ici les captifs; car c’est pour nous charger d’une faute envers Yahweh que vous songez à ajouter à nos péchés et à nos fautes; car grande est notre faute, et l’ardeur de la colère de Yahweh est sur Israël. »
And they said to them not you must bring the group of captives here for to [the] guilt of Yahweh on us [are] you? saying to add to sins our and to guilt our for much guilt [belongs] to us and burning of anger [is] towards Israel.
14 Les soldats abandonnèrent les captifs et le butin devant les chefs et devant toute l’assemblée.
And he left the [man] equipped the group of captives and the plunder before the commanders and all the assembly.
15 Et les hommes qui ont été mentionnés par leurs noms se levèrent et, ayant pris les captifs, ils revêtirent avec le butin tous ceux qui étaient nus, leur donnant des habits et des chaussures; puis ils les firent manger et boire et les oignirent et, transportant sur des ânes tous ceux qui défaillaient, il les menèrent à Jéricho, la ville des palmiers, auprès de leurs frères. Et eux retournèrent à Samarie.
And they arose the men who they had been designated by names and they took hold on the group of captives and all naked people their they clothed from the booty and they clothed them and they shod them and they fed them and they gave to drink them and they anointed them and they led them on donkeys any [one who] stumbled and they brought them Jericho [the] city of the palm trees beside relatives their and they returned Samaria.
16 En ce temps-là, le roi Achaz envoya demander aux rois d’Assyrie de le secourir.
At the time that he sent the king Ahaz to [the] kings of Assyria to help him.
17 Car les Édomites étaient encore venus; ils avaient battu Juda et emmené des captifs.
And again [the] Edomites they had come and they had defeated Judah and they had taken captive captive[s].
18 Les Philistins s’étaient répandus dans les villes de la Séphéla et du Négeb de Juda; ils avaient pris Bethsamès, Aïalon, Gadéroth, Socho et les villes de sa dépendance, Thamna et les villes de sa dépendance, Gamzo et les villes de sa dépendance, et s’y étaient établis.
And [the] Philistines they had made a raid on [the] cities of the Shephelah and the Negev of Judah and they had captured Beth Shemesh and Aijalon and Gederoth and Socoh and daughters its and Timnah and daughters its and Gimzo and daughters its and they dwelt there.
19 Car Yahweh humiliait Juda, à cause d’Achaz, roi d’Israël, qui avait déchaîné la licence dans Juda et commis des fautes contre Yahweh.
For he had humbled Yahweh Judah for sake of Ahaz [the] king of Israel for he had allowed lack of restraint in Judah and he had acted unfaithfully unfaithfulness against Yahweh.
20 Thelgath-Phalnasar, roi d’Assyrie, vint contre lui, le traita avec rigueur et ne le fortifia pas.
And he came on him Tiglath-pileser [the] king of Assyria and he harassed him and not he strengthened him.
21 Car Achaz avait dépouillé la maison de Yahweh, la maison du roi et des chefs, et fait des présents au roi d’Assyrie: ce qui ne lui fut d’aucun secours.
For he had plundered Ahaz [the] house of Yahweh and [the] house of the king and the officials and he had given to [the] king of Assyria and not for help for him.
22 Pendant qu’il était dans la détresse, il continuait à offenser Yahweh, lui, le roi Achaz.
And at [the] time harassed him and he increased to act unfaithfully against Yahweh that the king Ahaz.
23 Il sacrifia aux dieux de Damas, qui le frappaient, et il dit: « Puisque les dieux des rois de Syrie leur viennent en aide, je leur offrirai des sacrifices et ils me secourront. » Mais ils furent une cause de chute pour lui et pour tout Israël.
And he sacrificed to [the] gods of Damascus which had defeated him and he said that [the] gods of [the] kings of Aram they [are] helping them to them I will sacrifice and they will help me and they they became for him causing overthrow his and all Israel.
24 Achaz rassembla les ustensiles de la maison de Dieu et mit en pièces les ustensiles de la maison de Dieu, et, ayant fermé les portes de la maison de Yahweh, il se fit des autels à tous les angles de Jérusalem.
And he gathered Ahaz [the] utensils of [the] house of God and he cut up [the] utensils of [the] house of God and he closed [the] doors of [the] house of Yahweh and he made for himself altars at every corner in Jerusalem.
25 Il établit des hauts lieux dans chacune des villes de Juda pour offrir des parfums à d’autres dieux. Il irrita ainsi Yahweh, le Dieu de ses pères.
And in every city and a city of Judah he made high places to make smoke to gods other and he provoked Yahweh [the] God of ancestors his.
26 Le reste de ses actes et toutes ses voies, les premières et les dernières, voici que cela est écrit dans le livre des rois de Juda et d’Israël.
And [the] rest of matters his and all ways his former and latter there they [are] written on [the] scroll of [the] kings of Judah and Israel.
And he lay down Ahaz with ancestors his and people buried him in the city in Jerusalem for not they brought him to [the] graves of [the] kings of Israel and he became king Hezekiah son his in place of him.
