2 Chroniques 22
1 A la place de Joram, les habitants de Jérusalem firent roi Ochozias, son plus jeune fils; car la troupe qui était venue dans le camp avec les Arabes avait tué tous les plus âgés. C'est ainsi que régna Ochozias, fils de Joram, roi de Juda.

2 Il avait quarante-deux ans lorsqu'il devint roi, et il régna un an à Jérusalem. Sa mère s'appelait Athalie, fille d'Amri.
Ocozie was of two and fourti yeer, whanne he bigan to regne, and he regnede o yeer in Jerusalem; the name of his modir was Athalia, the douyter of Amry.
3 Lui aussi marcha dans les voies de la maison d'Achab, car sa mère était sa conseillère pour le faire pécher.
But he entride bi the weie of the hows of Achab; for his modir compellide hym to do yuele.
4 Il fit ce qui est mal aux yeux de Yahweh, comme ceux de la maison d'Achab; car après la mort de son père, ils furent ses conseillers pour sa perte.
Therfor he dide yuel in the siyt of the Lord, as the hows of Achab; for thei weren counselouris to hym in to his perischyng, aftir the deth of his fadir;
5 Ce fut aussi sur leur conseil qu'il se mit en marche et alla avec Joram, fils d'Achab, roi d'Israël, combattre Hazaël, roi de Syrie, à Ramoth-en-Galaad. Les Syriens blessèrent Joram.
and he yede in the counsele of hem. And he yede with Joram, the sone of Achab, kyng of Israel, in to batel ayens Azahel, kyng of Sirye, in to Ramoth of Galaad. And men of Sirie woundiden Joram;
6 Joram s'en retourna pour se faire guérir à Jezrahel des blessures que les Syriens lui avaient faites à Rama, lorsqu'il se battait contre Hazaël, roi de Syrie. Azarias, fils de Joram, roi de Juda, descendit pour voir Joram, fils d'Achab, à Jezrahel, parce qu'il était malade.
which turnede ayen for to be heelid in Jezrahel; for he hadde take many woundis in the forseid batel. Therfor Ocozie, kyng of Juda, the sone of Joram, yede doun to visite Joram, the sone of Achab, sijk in Jezrahel;
7 Par la volonté de Dieu, ce fut la perte d'Ochozias, que de se rendre auprès de Joram. Lorsqu'il fut arrivé, il sortit avec Joram pour aller vers Jéhu, fils de Namsi, que Yahweh avait oint pour exterminer la maison d'Achab.
for it was Goddis wille ayens Ocozie, that he cam to Joram. And whanne he was comun, he yede out with hym ayens Hieu, the sone of Namsi, whom God anoyntide, that he schulde do awey the hows of Achab.
8 Et comme Jehu faisait justice de la maison d'Achab, il trouva les chefs de Juda et les fils des frères d'Ochozias, qui étaient au service d'Ochozias, et il les tua.
Therfor whanne Hieu destriede the hows of Achab, he foond the princis of Juda, and the sones of the britheren of Ocozie, that `mynystriden to hym; and he killide hem.
9 Il chercha Ochozias, et on le saisit dans Samarie, où il s'était caché; on l'amena à Jéhu, et on le fit mourir. Puis ils lui donnèrent la sépulture, car ils disaient: " C'est le fils de Josaphat, qui chercha Yahweh de tout son cœur. " Et il n'y eut personne de la maison d'Ochozias qui fût en état de régner.
And he souyte thilke Ocozie, and cauyte him hid in Samarie, and after that he was brouyt to Hieu, Hieu killide hym; and thei birieden hym, for he was the sone of Josaphat, that hadde souyt God in al his herte. And noon hope was more, that ony of the generacioun of Ocozie schulde regne.
10 Athalie, mère d'Ochozias, voyant que son fils était mort, se leva et fit périr toute la race royale de la maison de Juda.
For Athalia, his modir, siy, that hir sone was deed, and sche roos, and killide alle the kyngis generacioun of the hows of Joram.
11 Mais Josabeth, fille du roi, prit Joas, fils d'Ochosias, et l'enleva du milieu des fils du roi, que l'on massacrait; et elle le mit avec sa nourrice dans la chambre des lits. Josabeth, fille du roi Joram, femme du prêtre Joïada, et sœur d'Ochosias, le déroba ainsi aux regards d'Athalie, qui ne le fit point mourir.
Forsothe Josabeth, the douyter of the kyng, took Joas, the sone of Ocozie, and stal hym fro the myddis of the sones of the kyng, whanne thei weren slayn; and sche hidde hym with his nurse in the closet of beddis. Forsothe Josabeth, that `hadde hid hym, was the douytir of kyng Joram, and wijf of Joiada, the bischop, and the sister of Ocozie; and therfor Athalia killide not hir.
12 Il resta six ans avec eux, caché dans la maison de Dieu; et ce fut Athalie qui régna sur le pays.
Therfor he was hid with hem in the hows of God sixe yeer, in whiche Athalia regnede on the lond.
