1 Chroniques 25

1 David et les princes de l'armée mirent à part, pour le service, des fils d'Asaph, de Héman et d'Idithun qui prophétisaient avec la harpe, la cithare et les cymbales. Voici leur nombre, — de ceux qui étaient occupés au service —:

Moreover David and the captains of the host separated to the service of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals: and the number of the workmen according to their service was:

2 Des fils d'Asaph: Zacchur, Joseph, Nathania et Asaréla, fils d'Asaph, sous la direction d'Asaph, qui prophétisait selon les ordres du roi. —

Of the sons of Asaph; Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asarelah, the sons of Asaph under the hands of Asaph, who prophesied according to the order of the king.

3 D'Idithun, les fils d'Idithun: Godolias, Sori, Jéséïas, Hasabias, Mathathias et Séméi, six, selon les ordres de leur père Idithun, qui prophétisait avec la cithare pour célébrer et louer Yahweh. —

Of Jeduthun: the sons of Jeduthun; Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with a harp, to give thanks and to praise the LORD.

4 De Héman, les fils de Héman: Bocciaü, Mathaniaü, Oziel, Subuël, Jérimoth, Hananias, Hanani, Eliatha, Geddelthi, Romemthiézer, Jesbacassa, Mellothi, Othir et Mahazioth;

Of Heman: the sons of Heman; Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamtiezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth:

5 ils étaient tous fils de Héman, voyant du roi dans les paroles de Dieu, pour exalter sa puissance: Dieu avait donné à Héman quatorze fils et trois filles.

All these were the sons of Heman the king’s seer in the words of God, to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

6 Tous ces lévites étaient sous les ordres de leurs pères pour le chant de la maison de Yahweh, ayant des cymbales, des cithares et des harpes pour le service de la maison de Dieu, sous les ordres de David, d'Asaph, d'Idithun et de Héman.

All these were under the hands of their father to sing in the house of the LORD, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of God, according to the king’s order to Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman.

7 Leur nombre, y compris leurs frères exercés à chanter Yahweh, tous ceux qui avaient de l'habileté, était de deux cent quatre-vingt-huit.

So the number of them, with their brethren that were instructed in the songs of the LORD, even all that were skilful, was two hundred and eighty and eight.

8 Ils tirèrent le sort pour leurs fonctions, petits et grands, maîtres et disciples.

And they cast lots, for their duties, as well the small as the great, the teacher as the scholar.

9 Le premier sort échut, pour Asaph, à Joseph; le second, à Godolias: lui, ses frères et ses fils: douze;

Now the first lot came forth for Asaph to Joseph: the second to Gedaliah, who with his brethren and sons were twelve:

10 le troisième, à Zachur: lui, ses fils et ses frères: douze;

The third to Zaccur, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

11 le quatrième, à Isari: lui, ses fils et ses frères: douze;

The fourth to Izri, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

12 le cinquième à Nathania: lui, ses fils et ses frères: douze;

The fifth to Nethaniah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

13 le sixième à Bocciaü: lui, ses fils et ses frères: douze;

The sixth to Bukkiah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

14 le septième à Isrééla: lui, ses fils et ses frères: douze;

The seventh to Jesharelah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

15 le huitième à Jésaïas: lui, ses fils et ses frères: douze;

The eighth to Jeshaiah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

16 le neuvième à Mathanias: lui, ses fils et ses frères: douze;

The ninth to Mattaniah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

17 le dixième à Séméïas: lui, ses fils et ses frères: douze;

The tenth to Shimei, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

18 le onzième à Azaréel: lui, ses fils et ses frères: douze;

The eleventh to Azareel, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

19 le douzième à Hasabias: lui, ses fils et ses frères: douze;

The twelfth to Hashabiah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

20 le treizième à Subuël: lui, ses fils et ses frères: douze;

The thirteenth to Shubael, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

21 le quatorzième à Mathathias: lui, ses fils et ses frères: douze;

The fourteenth to Mattithiah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

22 le quinzième à Jérimoth: lui, ses fils et ses frères: douze;

The fifteenth to Jeremoth, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

23 le seizième à Hananias: lui, ses fils et ses frères: douze;

The sixteenth to Hananiah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

24 le dix-septième à Jesbacassa: lui, ses fils et ses frères: douze;

The seventeenth to Joshbekashah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

25 le dix-huitième à Hanani: lui, ses fils et ses frères: douze;

The eighteenth to Hanani, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

26 le dix-neuvième à Mellothi: lui, ses fils et ses frères: douze;

The nineteenth to Mallothi, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

27 le vingtième à Eliatha: lui, ses fils et ses frères: douze;

The twentieth to Eliathah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

28 le vingt-unième à Othir: lui, ses fils et ses frères: douze;

The one and twentieth to Hothir, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

29 le vingt-deuxième à Geddelthi: lui, ses fils et ses frères: douze;

The two and twentieth to Giddalti, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

30 le vingt-troisième à Mahazioth: lui, ses fils et ses frères: douze;

The three and twentieth to Mahazioth, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

31 le vingt-quatrième à Romemthiézer: lui, ses fils et ses frères: douze.

The four and twentieth to Romamtiezer, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve.
