1 Chroniques 2

1 Voici les fils d’Israël: Ruben, Siméon, Lévi, Juda, Issachar, Zabulon,

These [are] sons of Israel: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun,

2 Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Nephthali, Gad et Aser.

Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.

3 Fils de Juda: Her, Onan et Séla; ces trois lui naquirent de la fille de Sué, la Chananéenne. — Her, premier-né de Juda, était méchant aux yeux de Yahweh, qui le fit mourir. —

Sons of Judah: Er, and Onan, and Shelah, three have been born to him of a daughter of Shua the Canaanitess. And Er, first-born of Judah, is evil in the eyes of Jehovah, and He putteth him to death.

4 Thamar, belle-fille de Juda, lui enfanta Pharès et Zara. — Tous les fils de Juda furent au nombre de cinq.

And Tamar his daughter-in-law hath borne to him Pharez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah [are] five.

5 Fils de Pharès: Hesron et Hamul. —

Sons of Pharez: Hezron, and Hamul.

6 Fils de Zara: Zamri, Ethan, Eman, Chalchal et Dara: en tout, cinq. —

And sons of Zerah: Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara; all of them five.

7 Fils de Charmi: Achar, qui troubla Israël par une transgression au sujet d’une chose vouée à l’anathème. —

And sons of Carmi: Achar, troubler of Israel, who trespassed in the devoted thing.

8 Fils d’Ethan: Azarias.

And sons of Ethan: Azariah.

9 Fils qui naquirent à Hesron: Jéraméel, Ram et Calubi.

And sons of Hezron who were born to him; Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Chelubai.

10 Ram engendra Aminadab; Aminadab engendra Nahasson, prince des fils de Juda;

And Ram begat Amminadab, and Amminadab begat Nahshon, prince of the sons of Judah;

11 Nahasson engendra Salma; Salma engendra Booz;

and Nahshon begat Salma, and Salma begat Boaz,

12 Booz engendra Obed; Obed engendra Isaï;

and Boaz begat Obed, and Obed begat Jesse;

13 Isaï engendra Eliab son premier-né, Abinadab, le deuxième, Simmaa le troisième,

and Jesse begat his first-born Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shimea the third,

14 Nathanaël, le quatrième, Raddaï, le cinquième,

Nethaneel the fourth, Raddai the fifth,

15 Asom, le sixième, et David, le septième.

Ozem the sixth, David the seventh,

16 Leurs sœurs étaient: Sarvia et Abigaïl. — Fils de Sarvia: Abisaï, Joab et Asaël, trois. —

and their sisters Zeruiah and Abigail. And sons of Zeruiah: Abishai, and Joab, and Asah-El — three.

17 Abigaïl enfanta Amasa, dont le père fut Jéther, l’Ismaélite.

And Abigail hath borne Amasa, and the father of Amasa [is] Jether the Ishmeelite.

18 Caleb, fils de Hesron eut des enfants d’Azuba, sa femme, et de Jérioth. Voici les fils qu’il eut d’Azuba: Jaser, Sobab et Ardon.

And Caleb son of Hezron hath begotten Azubah, Isshah, and Jerioth; and these [are] her sons: Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon.

19 Azuba mourut, et Caleb prit pour femme Ephrata, qui lui enfanta Hur.

And Azubah dieth, and Caleb taketh to him Ephrath, and she beareth to him Hur.

20 Hur engendra Uri, et Uri engendra Bézéléel. —

And Hur begat Uri, and Uri begat Bezaleel.

21 Ensuite Hesron s’unit à la fille de Machir, père de Galaad: il avait soixante ans quand il la prit; elle lui enfanta Ségub.

And afterwards hath Hezron gone in unto a daughter of Machir father of Gilead, and he hath taken her, and he [is] a son of sixty years, and she beareth to him Segub.

22 Ségub engendra Jaïr, qui eut vingt-trois villes dans le pays de Galaad.

And Segub begat Jair, and he hath twenty and three cities in the land of Gilead,

23 Les Gessuriens et les Syriens leur prirent les Bourgs de Jaïr, ainsi que Canath et les villes de sa dépendance: soixante villes. Tous ceux-là étaient fils de Machir, père de Galaad.

and he taketh Geshur and Aram, the small villages of Jair, from them, with Kenath and its small towns, sixty cities — all these [belonged to] the sons of Machir father of Gilead.

24 Après la mort de Hesron à Caleb-Ephrata, Abia, la femme de Hesron, lui enfanta Ashur, père de Thécua.

And after the death of Hezron in Caleb-Ephratah, then the wife of Hezron, Abijah, even beareth to him Asshur, father of Tekoa.

25 Les fils de Jéraméel, premier-né de Hesron, furent: Ram, le premier-né, Buna, Aran, Asom et Achia.

And sons of Jerahmeel, first-born of Hezron, are: the first-born Ram, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, Ahijah.

26 Jéraméel eut une autre femme, nommée Athara, qui fut mère d’Onam. —

And Jerahmeel hath another wife, and her name [is] Atarah, she [is] mother of Onam.

27 Les fils de Ram, premier-né de Jéraméel furent: Moos, Jamin et Acar. —

And sons of Ram, first-born of Jerahmeel, are Maaz, and Jamin, and Eker.

28 Les fils d’Onam furent: Séméï et Jada. — Fils de Séméï: Nadab et Abisur.

And sons of Onam are Shammai and Jada. And sons of Shammai: Nadab and Abishur.

29 Le nom de la femme d’Abisur était Abihaïl, et elle lui enfanta Ahobban et Molid.

And the name of the wife of Abishur [is] Abihail, and she beareth to him Ahban and Molid.

30 Fils de Nadab: Saled et Apphaïm. Saled mourut sans fils.

And sons of Nadab: Seled, and Appaim; and Seled dieth without sons.

31 Fils d’Apphaïm: Jési. Fils de Jési: Sésan. Fils de Sesan: Oholaï. —

And sons of Appaim: Ishi. And sons of Ishi: Sheshan. And sons of Sheshan: Ahlai.

32 Fils de Jada, frère de Séméï: Jéther et Jonathan. Jéther mourut sans fils.

And sons of Jada, brother of Shammai: Jether, and Jonathan: and Jether dieth without sons.

33 Fils de Jonathan: Phaleth et Ziza. — Ce sont là les fils de Jéraméel. —

And sons of Jonathan: Peleth, and Zaza. These were sons of Jerahmeel.

34 Sésan n’eut pas de fils, mais il eut des filles. Il avait un esclave Égyptien, nommé Jéraa;

And Sheshan had no sons, but daughters, and Sheshan hath a servant, an Egyptian, and his name [is] Jarha,

35 il lui donna sa fille pour femme, et elle lui enfanta Ethéï.

and Sheshan giveth his daughter to Jarha his servant for a wife, and she beareth to him Attai;

36 Ethéï engendra Nathan; Nathan engendra Zabad;

and Attai begat Nathan, and Nathan begat Zabad,

37 Zabad engendra Ophlal; Ophlal engendra Obed;

and Zabad begat Ephlal, and Ephlal begat Obed,

38 Obed engendra Jéhu; Jéhu engendra Azarias;

and Obed begat Jehu,

39 Azarias engendra Hellès; Hellès engendra Elasa;

and Jehu begat Azariah, and Azariah begat Helez, and Helez begat Eleasah,

40 Elasa engendra Sisamoï; Sisamoï engendra Sellum;

and Eleasah begat Sismai, and Sismai begat Shallum,

41 Sellum engendra Icamias, et Icamias engendra Elisama.

and Shallum begat Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begat Elishama.

42 Fils de Caleb, frère de Jéraméel: Mésa, son premier-né, qui fut père de Ziph, et les fils de Marésa, père d’Hébron. —

And sons of Caleb brother of Jerahmeel: Mesha his first-born, he [is] father of Ziph; and sons of Mareshah: Abi-Hebron.

43 Fils d’Hébron: Coré, Thaphua, Récem et Samma.

And sons of Hebron: Korah, and Tappuah, and Rekem, and Shema.

44 Samma engendra Raham, père de Jercaam; Récem engendra Sammaï. —

And Shema begat Raham father of Jorkoam, and Rekem begat Shammai.

45 Fils de Sammaï: Maon; et Maon fut père de Bethsur. —

And a son of Shammai [is] Maon, and Maon [is] father of Beth-Zur.

46 Epha, concubine de Caleb, enfanta Haran, Mosa et Gézez. Haran engendra Gézez. —

And Ephah concubine of Caleb bare Haran, and Moza, and Gazez; and Haran begat Gazez.

47 Fils de Jahaddaï: Regom, Joathan, Gosan, Phalet, Epha et Saaph. —

And sons of Jahdai: Regem, and Jotham, and Geshem, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph.

48 Maacha, concubine de Caleb, enfanta Saber et Tharana.

The concubine of Caleb, Maachah, bare Sheber and Tirhanah;

49 Elle enfanta encore Saaph, père de Madména, Sué, père de Machbéna et père de Gabaa. La fille de Caleb était Achsa.

and she beareth Shaaph father of Madmannah, Sheva father of Machbenah, and father of Gibea; and a daughter of Caleb [is] Achsa.

50 Ceux-ci furent fils de Caleb. Fils de Hur, premier-né d’Ephrata: Sobal, père de Cariathiarim;

These were sons of Caleb son of Hur, first-born of Ephrathah: Shobal father of Kirjath-Jearim,

51 Salma, père de Bethléem; Hariph, père de Bethgader. —

Salma father of Beth-Lehem, Hareph father of Beth-Gader.

52 Les fils de Sobal, père de Cariathiarim, furent: Haroé, Hatsi-Hamménuhoth.

And there are sons to Shobal father of Kirjath-Jearim: Haroeh, half of the Menuhothite;

53 Les familles de Cariathiarim, furent: les Jethréens, les Aphuthéens, les Sémathéens et les Maséréens. D’eux sont sortis les Saréens et les Esthaoliens. —

and the families of Kirjath-Jearim: the Ithrite, and the Puhite, and the Shumathite, and the Mishraite: from these went out the Zareathite, and the Eshtaulite.

54 Fils de Salma: Bethléem et les Nétophatiens, Ataroth-Beth-Joab, moitié des Manachtiens, les Saréens,

Sons of Salma: Beth-Lehem, and the Netophathite, Atroth, Beth-Joab, and half of the Menuhothite, the Zorite;

55 ainsi que les familles des Scribes demeurant à Jabès, savoir, les Thiratiens, les Schimathiens et les Sucathiens. Ce sont les Cinéens, issus de Hamath, père de la maison de Réchab.

and the families of the scribes the inhabitants of Jabez: Tirathites, Shimeathites, Suchathites. They [are] the Kenites, those coming of Hammath father of the house of Rechab.
