1 Chroniques 16
1 Après qu’on eut fait entrer l’arche de Dieu, et qu’on l’eut déposée au milieu de la tente que David avait dressée pour elle, on offrit devant Dieu des holocaustes et des sacrifices pacifiques.
And they brought [the] ark of God and they set it in [the] midst of the tent which he had pitched for it David and they brought near burnt offerings and peace offerings before God.
2 Quand David eut achevé d’offrir les holocaustes et les sacrifices pacifiques, il bénit le peuple au nom de Yahweh.
And he finished David from offering up the burnt offering and the peace offerings and he blessed the people in [the] name of Yahweh.
3 Puis il distribua à tous ceux d’Israël, hommes et femmes, à chacun un pain, une portion de viande et un gâteau de raisins.
And he distributed to every person of Israel from man and unto woman to everyone a round loaf of bread and a date-cake and a raisin-cake.
4 Il établit devant l’arche de Yahweh des lévites pour faire le service, en invoquant, en célébrant et en louant Yahweh, le Dieu d’Israël.
And he appointed before [the] ark of Yahweh some of the Levites servants and to make remembrance and to give thanks and to praise Yahweh [the] God of Israel.
5 C’étaient: Asaph, le chef; Zacharie, le second; puis Jahiel, Sémiramoth, Jéhiel, Mathathias, Eliab, Banaïas, Obédédom et Jéhiel, avec des cithares et des harpes pour instruments; et Asaph faisait retentir les cymbales;
Asaph [was] the chief and [was] second his Zechariah Jeiel and Shemiramoth and Jehiel and Mattithiah and Eliab and Benaiah and Obed-Edom and Jeiel with instruments of lyres and with harps and Asaph with cymbals [was] sounding aloud.
6 les prêtres Banaïas et Jaziel sonnaient continuellement de la trompette devant l’arche de l’alliance de Dieu.
And Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually before [the] ark of [the] covenant of God.
7 Ce fut en ce jour que David établit pour la première fois qu’on célébrerait Yahweh par l’organe d’Asaph et de ses frères:
On the day that then he appointed David at the first to give thanks to Yahweh by [the] hand of Asaph and relatives his.
8 Louez Yahweh, invoquez son nom, faites connaître ses œuvres parmi les peuples.
Give thanks to Yahweh proclaim name his make known among the peoples deeds his.
9 Chantez en son honneur, chantez des psaumes en son honneur, racontez toutes ses merveilles.
Sing to him sing praises to him tell in all wonders his.
10 Glorifiez-vous dans son saint nom; que se réjouisse le cœur de ceux qui cherchent Yahweh!
Boast in [the] name of holiness his let it rejoice [the] heart of [those who] seek Yahweh.
11 Recherchez Yahweh et sa force; cherchez continuellement sa face.
Seek Yahweh and strength his seek face his continually.
12 Souvenez-vous des prodiges qu’il a faits, de ses miracles et des jugements de sa bouche,
Remember wonders his which he has done wonders his and [the] judgments of mouth his.
13 race d’Israël, son serviteur, enfants de Jacob, ses élus.
O offspring of Israel servant his O descendants of Jacob chosen ones his.
14 Lui, Yahweh, est notre Dieu; ses jugements s’exercent sur toute la terre.
He [is] Yahweh God our [are] in all the earth judgments his.
15 Souvenez-vous à jamais de son alliance. — la parole qu’il a dite pour mille générations.
Remember for ever covenant his [the] word [which] he commanded for a thousand generation[s].
16 De l’alliance qu’il a conclue avec Abraham, et de son serment à Isaac,
Which he made with Abraham and oath his to Isaac.
17 qu’il a érigé pour Jacob en loi, pour Israël en alliance éternelle,
And he confirmed it to Jacob to a statute to Israel a covenant of perpetuity.
18 disant: « À toi je donnerai le pays de Chanaan, comme la part de votre héritage. »
Saying to you I will give [the] land of Canaan [the] portion of inheritance your.
19 Alors que vous étiez faciles à compter, en petit nombre et étrangers dans le pays,
When were you men of number like a few and sojourners in it.
20 qu’ils erraient d’une nation à l’autre, et d’un royaume vers un autre peuple,
And they went about from nation to nation and from a kingdom to a people another.
21 Il ne permit à personne de les opprimer, et il châtia des rois à cause d’eux;
Not he permitted anyone to oppress them and he rebuked on them kings.
22 « Ne touchez pas à mes oints, et ne faites pas de mal à mes prophètes! »
May not you touch anointed [ones] my and to prophets my may not you do harm.
23 Chantez à Yahweh, habitants de toute la terre; annoncez de jour en jour son salut.
Sing to Yahweh O all the earth bear news from day to day salvation his.
24 Racontez parmi les nations sa gloire, parmi tous les peuples ses merveilles.
Recount among the nations glory his among all the peoples wonders his.
25 Car Yahweh est grand et très digne de louange, il est redoutable par-dessus tous les dieux;
For [is] great Yahweh and [is] to be praised exceedingly and [is] to be feared he above all gods.
26 car tous les dieux des peuples sont des idoles. Et Yahweh a fait les cieux;
For all [the] gods of the peoples [are] worthless idols and Yahweh [the] heavens he made.
27 la majesté et la splendeur sont devant sa face; la force et la joie sont dans sa demeure.
Splendor and majesty [are] before him strength and joy [are] in place his.
28 Rendez à Yahweh, familles des peuples, rendez à Yahweh gloire et puissance,
Ascribe to Yahweh O clans of peoples ascribe to Yahweh glory and strength.
29 rendez à Yahweh gloire pour son nom. Apportez des offrandes et venez en sa présence; adorez Yahweh dans de saints ornements,
Ascribe to Yahweh [the] glory of name his lift up an offering and come before him bow down to Yahweh in adornment of holiness.
30 tremblez devant lui, habitants de toute la terre. Et le monde affermi ne chancellera point.
Tremble from to before him O all the earth also it is established [the] world not it will be shaken.
31 Que les cieux se réjouissent et que la terre soit dans l’allégresse! Qu’on dise parmi les nations: « Yahweh est roi! »
Let them rejoice the heavens and let it be glad the earth and let people say among the nations Yahweh he reigns.
32 Que la mer retentisse avec ce qu’elle contient! Que les champs tressaillent avec tout ce qu’ils renferment!
Let it thunder the sea and what fills it let it exult the field and all that [is] in it.
33 Que les arbres de la forêt poussent des cris joyeux, devant Yahweh, car il vient pour juger la terre!
Then they will shout for joy [the] trees of the forest from to before Yahweh for [he is] coming to judge the earth.
34 Célébrez Yahweh, car il est bon, car sa miséricorde dure à jamais.
Give thanks to Yahweh for [he is] good for [is] for ever covenant loyalty his.
35 Dites: « Sauve-nous, Dieu de notre salut; rassemble-nous et retire-nous du milieu des nations, afin que nous célébrions ton saint nom, et que nous mettions notre gloire en ta louange. »
And say save us O God of salvation our and gather us and deliver us from the nations to give thanks to [the] name of holiness your to boast in praise your.
36 Béni soit Yahweh, le Dieu d’Israël, d’éternité en éternité! Et tout le peuple dit: « Amen! « et: « Louez Yahweh. »
[be] blessed Yahweh [the] God of Israel from antiquity and until perpetuity and they said all the people amen and they praised Yahweh.
37 David laissa là, devant l’arche de l’alliance de Yahweh, Asaph et ses frères pour faire continuellement le service devant l’arche, selon la tâche de chaque jour;
And he left there before [the] ark of [the] covenant of Yahweh Asaph and relatives his to serve before the ark continually to [the] matter of a day in day its.
38 de même Obédédom avec ses frères, au nombre de soixante-huit, Obédédom, fils d’Idithun, et Hosa, comme portiers;
And Obed-Edom and relatives their sixty and eight and Obed-Edom [the] son of Jedithun and Hosah to gatekeepers.
39 de même, le prêtre Sadoc et les prêtres, ses frères, devant la Demeure de Yahweh sur le haut lieu qui était à Gabaon,
And - Zadok the priest and relatives his the priests before [the] tabernacle of Yahweh at the high place which [was] in Gibeon.
40 pour qu’ils offrissent des holocaustes à Yahweh continuellement, matin et soir, sur l’autel des holocaustes, et pour qu’ils accomplissent tout ce qui est écrit dans la loi de Yahweh qu’il a imposée à Israël.
To offer up burnt offerings to Yahweh on [the] altar of the burnt offering continually to the morning and to the evening and to every [thing] written in [the] law of Yahweh which he commanded to Israel.
41 Auprès d’eux étaient Héman et Idithun, et le reste de ceux qui avaient été choisis et désignés par leurs noms, pour « louer Yahweh, car sa miséricorde dure à jamais! »
And [were] with them Heman and Jeduthun and [the] rest of those [who] had been chosen who they had been designated by names to give thanks to Yahweh for [is] for ever covenant loyalty his.
42 Avec eux, savoir, avec Héman et Idithun, étaient des trompettes et des cymbales pour ceux qui devaient les faire retentir, et des instruments pour les cantiques de Dieu. Les fils d’Idithun étaient pour la porte.
And [were] with them Heman and Jeduthun trumpets and cymbals for [those who] sound aloud and [the] instruments of song of God and [the] sons of Jeduthun [were] to the gate.
43 Tout le peuple s’en alla chacun dans sa maison; et David s’en retourna pour bénir sa maison.
And they went all the people everyone to house his and he turned David to bless house his.
