Zacharie 4
1 L’ange qui parlait avec moi revint, et il me réveilla comme un homme qui se réveille de son sommeil.
And once more the messenger who was speaking with me, roused me up, just as a man might be roused up out of his sleep.
2 Et il me dit: « Que vois-tu? » Je répondis: « J’ai vu, et voici un candélabre tout en or, avec son bassin à son sommet, portant ses sept lampes avec sept conduits pour les lampes qui sont au sommet du candélabre.
Then said he unto me, What canst thou see? And I said—I have looked, and lo! a Lampstand—all of gold, with the Bowl thereof upon the top thereof, and its Seven Lamps upon it, Seven Pipes each, to the lamps which are upon the top thereof;
3 Et deux oliviers sont à côté de lui, l’un à droite du bassin, et l’autre à sa gauche. »
and, Two Olive-trees, by it, —one upon the right hand of the bowl, and one upon the left hand thereof.
4 Et je repris la parole et je dis à l’ange qui parlait avec moi: « Que sont ces choses, mon seigneur? »
Then responded I, and said unto the messenger who was speaking with me, saying, —What are these, my lord?
5 L’ange qui parlait avec moi me répondit et me dit: « Ne sais-tu pas ce que sont ces choses? » Je répondis: « Non, mon seigneur. »
Then answered the messenger who was speaking with me, and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these, are? And I said, No my lord.
6 Et il reprit et me dit: Ceci est la parole de Yahweh à Zorobabel, savoir: « Ni par une armée, ni par la force, mais par mon Esprit, dit Yahweh des armées.
Then responded he, and spake unto me, saying, This, is the word of Yahweh, unto Zerubbabel, saying, —Not by wealth, nor by strength, but by my spirit, saith Yahweh of hosts.
7 Qui es-tu, grande montagne, devant Zorobabel? Tu seras une plaine. Et il élèvera la pierre du sommet au milieu des acclamations: Grâce, grâce sur elle! »
Who, art, thou, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel, [brought down] to a plain! So shall he bring forth the headstone, with thundering shouts Beautiful! Beautiful! thereunto.
8 La parole de Yahweh me fut adressée en ces termes:
Then came the word of Yahweh unto me, saying:
9 « Les mains de Zorobabel ont fondé cette maison, et ses mains l’achèveront, et tu sauras que Yahweh des armées m’a envoyé vers vous.
The hands of Zerubbabel, have founded this house, and, his hands, shall finish it, —So shalt thou know that, Yahweh of hosts, hath sent me unto you.
10 Car qui mépriserait le temps des petites choses? Ils se réjouiront en voyant le fil à plomb dans la main de Zorobabel. » « Ces sept lampes sont les yeux de Yahweh, qui parcourent toute la terre »
For who hath despised the day of small things? Yet shall they rejoice, when they see the plummet-stone in the hand of Zerubbabel, —these seven! The eyes of Yahweh, they are—running to and fro throughout all the earth.
11 Je repris la parole et je lui dis: « Que sont ces deux oliviers à la droite du candélabre et à sa gauche? »
Then responded I, and said unto him, —What are these two olive-trees, upon the right of the lampstand, and upon the left thereof?
12 Je repris une seconde fois la parole et lui dis: « Que sont ces deux grappes d’olivier qui se trouvent auprès des deux entonnoirs d’or d’où l’or découle? »
And I responded a second time, and said unto him, —What are the two branches of the olive- trees which join the two golden tubes, which empty out of them the golden oil?
13 Il me parla en ces termes: « Ne sais-tu pas ce que c’est? » Je répondis: « Non, mon seigneur. »
And he spake unto me, saying, Knowest thou not what these are? And I said, No, my lord.
14 Et il me dit: « Ce sont les deux fils de l’onctionqui se tiennent près du Seigneur de toute la terre. »
Then said he, These, are the two Anointed Ones, —who stand near the Lord of all the earth.
