Psaumes 25
1 Psaume de David. ALEPH. Vers toi, Yahweh, j’élève mon âme, mon Dieu.
“A psalm of David.” To thee, O LORD! do I lift up my soul.
2 En toi je me confie: que je n’aie pas de confusion! Que mes ennemis ne se réjouissent pas à mon sujet!
O my God! I trust in thee; let me not be put to shame! Let not my enemies triumph over me!
3 Non, aucun de ceux qui espèrent en toi ne sera confondu; ceux là seront confondus qui sont infidèles sans cause.
Yea, none that hope in thee shall be put to shame: They shall be put to shame who wickedly forsake thee.
4 Yahweh, fais-moi connaître tes voies, enseigne-moi tes sentiers.
Cause me to know thy ways, O LORD! Teach me thy paths!
5 Conduis-moi dans ta vérité, VAV. et instruis-moi, car tu es le Dieu de mon salut; tout le jour en toi j’espère.
Lead me in thy truth, and teach me! For thou art the God from whom cometh my help; In thee do I trust at all times!
6 Souviens-toi de ta miséricorde, Yahweh, et de ta bonté car elles sont éternelles.
Remember thy loving-kindness, O LORD! and thy tender mercy, Which thou hast exercised of old!
7 Ne te souviens pas des péchés de ma jeunesse ni de mes transgressions; souviens-toi de moi selon ta miséricorde, à cause de ta bonté, ô Yahweh,
Remember not the faults and transgressions of my youth! According to thy mercy remember thou me, For thy goodness' sake, O LORD!
8 Yahweh est bon et droit; c’est pourquoi il indique aux pécheurs la voie.
Good and righteous is the LORD; Therefore showeth he to sinners the way.
9 Il fait marcher les humbles dans la justice, il enseigne aux humbles sa voie.
The humble he guideth in his statutes, And the humble he teacheth his way.
10 Tous les sentiers de Yahweh sont miséricorde et fidélité, pour ceux qui gardent son alliance et ses commandements.
All the doings of the LORD are mercy and truth To those who keep his covenant and his precepts.
11 A cause de ton nom, Yahweh, tu pardonneras mon iniquité, car elle est grande.
For thy name's sake, O LORD, Pardon my iniquity; for it is great!
12 Quel est l’homme qui craint Yahweh? Yahweh lui montre la voie qu’il doit choisir.
Who is the man that feareth the LORD? Him doth he show the way which he should choose.
13 Son âme repose dans le bonheur, et sa postérité possédera le pays.
He shall himself dwell in prosperity, And his offspring shall inherit the land.
14 La familiarité de Yahweh est pour ceux qui le craignent; il leur fait connaître les bénédictions de son alliance.
The friendship of the LORD is with them that fear him, And he will teach them his covenant.
15 J’ai les yeux constamment tournés vers Yahweh, car c’est lui qui tirera mes pieds du lacet.
Mine eyes are ever directed to the LORD, For he will pluck my feet from the net.
16 Regarde-moi et prends pitié de moi, car je suis délaissé et malheureux.
Look upon me, and pity me; For I am desolate and afflicted!
17 Les angoisses de mon cœur se sont accrues: tire-moi de ma détresse!
Lighten the sorrows of my heart, And deliver me from my troubles!
18 Vois ma misère et ma peine, et pardonne tous mes péchés.
Look upon my affliction and distress, And forgive all my sins!
19 Vois combien sont nombreux mes ennemis, et quelle haine violente ils ont contre moi!
Consider how many are my enemies, And with what violence they hate me!
20 Garde mon âme et sauve-moi! Que je ne sois pas confus, car j’ai mis en toi ma confiance!
Guard thou my life, and deliver me! Let me not be put to shame, for I have trusted in thee!
21 Que l’innocence et la droiture me protègent, car j’espère en toi.
Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, For on thee do I rest my hope!
22 O Dieu, délivre Israël de toutes ses angoisses!
Redeem Israel, O God! from all his troubles!
