Psaumes 15

1 Psaume de David. Yahweh, qui habitera dans ta tente? Qui demeurera sur ta montagne sainte?

Yahweh, who are allowed to enter your Sacred Tent? Who are allowed to live on your sacred mountain?

2 Celui qui marche dans l’innocence, qui pratique la justice, et qui dit la vérité dans son cœur.

Only those who always do what is right and do not sin may do that. They always say what is true

3 Il ne calomnie pas avec sa langue, il ne fait pas de mal à son frère, et ne jette pas l’opprobre sur son prochain.

and they do not slander others. They do not do to others things that are wrong, and they do not say bad things about others.

4 A ses yeux le réprouvé est digne de honte, mais il honore ceux qui craignent Yahweh. S’il a fait un serment à son préjudice, il n’y change rien,

[Godly people] hate those whom God has rejected, but they respect those who revere Yahweh. They do what they have promised to do even if it causes them trouble to do that.

5 Il ne prête pas son argent à usure, et il n’accepte pas de présent contre l’innocent: Celui qui se conduit ainsi ne chancellera jamais.

They lend money to others without charging interest, and they never accept bribes in order to lie about people who have not done what is wrong. Those who do those things will never stop trusting God [even if disastrous things happen to them].
