Marc 11
1 Comme ils approchaient de Jérusalem, aux environs de Betphagé et Béthanie, vers la montagne des Oliviers, Jésus envoya deux de ses disciples,
And when they came near to Jerusalem, even to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, He sendeth two of his disciples,
2 en leur disant: « Allez au village qui est devant vous; dès que vous y serez entrés, vous trouverez un ânon attaché, sur lequel nul homme ne s’est encore assis: détachez-le et amenez-le-moi.
and saith to them, Go into the village over against you, and as soon as ye enter into it, ye will find a colt tied, on which no man hath yet sat; loose him, and bring him to me.
3 Et si quelqu’un vous dit: Que faites-vous? répondez: Le Seigneur en a besoin; et aussitôt il va le renvoyer ici. »
And if any one say to you, Why do ye so? tell him, that the Lord hath need of it, and he will immediately send it hither.
4 S’en étant allés, les disciples trouvèrent un ânon attaché à une porte, en dehors, au tournant du chemin, et ils le détachèrent.
And they went and found the colt tied at a door abroad, where two ways met, and they untied it.
5 Quelques-uns de ceux qui étaient là leur dirent: « Que faites-vous de détacher cet ânon? »
And some of the people that stood there, said to them, What do ye mean by untying the colt?
6 Ils répondirent comme Jésus le leur avait commandé, et on les laissa faire.
And they answered them as Jesus had ordered, and they permitted them.
7 Et ils amenèrent l’ânon à Jésus, et ils mirent dessus leurs manteaux, et Jésus s’y assit.
So they brought the colt to Jesus, and laid their garments on it, and He sat upon it.
8 Un grand nombre étendirent leurs manteaux le long de la route; d’autres, ayant coupé des branches d’arbres, en jonchèrent le chemin.
And many spread their clothes in the way; and others cut off branches from the trees, and strewed them in the way.
9 Et ceux qui marchaient devant, et ceux qui suivaient, criaient: « Hosanna! Béni soit celui qui vient au nom du Seigneur!
And they that went before, and they that followed, cried out, saying, Hosanna, blessed be He that cometh in the name of the Lord:
10 Béni soit le règne de David notre père, qui va commencer! Hosanna au plus haut des cieux! »
blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that is coming in the name of the Lord, Hosanna in the highest.
11 Et il entra à Jérusalem, dans le temple; et ayant observé toutes choses, comme déjà l’heure était avancée, il s’en alla à Béthanie avec les Douze.
And Jesus went into Jerusalem, and into the temple; and when He had looked round upon every thing, it being now late in the day, He went out to Bethany with the twelve.
12 Le lendemain, après qu’ils furent sortis de Béthanie, il eut faim.
And on the morrow, as they came from Bethany, He was hungry:
13 Apercevant de loin un figuier couvert de feuilles, il s’avança pour voir s’il n’y trouverait pas quelque fruit; et s’en étant approché, il n’y trouva que des feuilles; car ce n’était pas la saison des figues.
and seeing a fig-tree at a distance, with leaves, He went to see if He might find any thing upon it; and when He came to it, He found nothing but leaves; (for the time of gathering figs was not yet come: ) And Jesus spake and said unto it,
14 Alors il dit au figuier: « Qu’à jamais personne ne mange plus de ton fruit! » Ce que ses disciples entendirent. (aiōn g165)
Let no one ever eat fruit of thee hereafter. And his disciples heard it. (aiōn g165)
15 Ils arrivèrent à Jérusalem. Jésus étant entré dans le temple, se mit à chasser ceux qui vendaient et achetaient dans le temple, et il renversa les tables des changeurs, et les sièges de ceux qui vendaient des colombes,
Then they came to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to turn out those that sold and bought in the court of the temple, and threw down the tables of the money-changers, and the seats of them that sold doves:
16 et il ne souffrait pas que personne transportât aucun objet à travers le temple.
and suffered not any one to carry a burthen through the courts of the temple.
17 Et il enseignait, en disant: « N’est-il pas écrit: Ma maison sera appelée une maison de prière pour toutes les nations? Mais vous, vous en avez fait une caverne de voleurs. »
And He taught them, saying, Is it not written, my house shall be called an house of prayer for all nations? But ye have made it a den of thieves.
18 Ce qu’ayant entendu, les Princes des prêtres et les Scribes cherchaient les moyens de le faire périr; car ils le craignaient, parce que tout le peuple admirait sa doctrine.
And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how to destroy Him; for they feared Him, because all the people were struck with his doctrine.
19 Le soir étant venu, Jésus sortit de la ville.
And when it was evening, He went out of the city.
20 Or, en repassant de grand matin, les disciples virent le figuier desséché jusqu’à la racine.
And in the morning, as they were passing by it, they saw the fig-tree withered from the roots.
21 Et Pierre, se ressouvenant, dit à Jésus: « Maître, voilà que le figuier que vous avez maudit a séché. »
And Peter remembring the tree, saith unto Him, Master, behold, the fig-tree which thou cursedst, is withered.
22 Jésus leur répondit: « Ayez foi en Dieu.
And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God: for verily I tell you,
23 Je vous le dis, en vérité, si quelqu’un dit à cette montagne: Ôte-toi de là, et te jette dans la mer, et s’il ne doute pas dans son cœur, mais qu’il croie que ce qu’il dit arrivera, il le verra s’accomplir.
that whosoever shall say to this mountain, "Be thou removed and cast into the sea," and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that what he saith shall be done, he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 C’est pourquoi, je vous le dis, tout ce que vous demanderez dans la prière, croyez que vous l’obtiendrez, et vous le verrez s’accomplir.
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye ask in prayer, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
25 Lorsque vous êtes debout pour faire votre prière, si vous avez quelque chose contre quelqu’un, pardonnez, afin que votre Père qui est dans les cieux vous pardonne aussi vos offenses.
But when ye pray, forgive, if ye have any thing against any one, that your heavenly Father may also forgive you your trespasses:
26 [Si vous ne pardonnez pas, votre Père qui est dans les cieux ne vous pardonnera pas non plus vos offenses.] »
but if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive you your trespasses.
27 Ils arrivèrent de nouveau à Jérusalem. Pendant que Jésus se promenait dans le temple, les Princes des prêtres, les Scribes et les Anciens s’approchèrent de lui,
And they come again to Jerusalem, and as He was walking in the temple, the chief priests, and scribes, and elders come to Him,
28 et lui dirent: « Par quel pouvoir fais-tu ces choses? Qui t’a donné pouvoir de les faire? »
and ask Him, By what authority dost thou these things, and who gave thee this authority, to do thus?
29 Jésus leur dit: « Je vous ferai, moi aussi, une question; répondez-moi et je vous dirai par quel pouvoir je fais ces choses.
But Jesus said to them, I also will ask you one question; answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
30 Le baptême de Jean, était-il du ciel ou des hommes? Répondez-moi. »
The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or from men? answer me.
31 Mais ils faisaient en eux-mêmes cette réflexion: « Si nous répondons: Du ciel, il dira: Pourquoi donc n’avez-vous pas cru en lui.
And they reasoned among themselves, saying, If we say, from heaven; He will say, why then did ye not believe him?
32 Si nous répondons: des hommes… » Ils craignaient le peuple; car tous tenaient Jean pour un véritable prophète.
but if we should say, from men --- they feared the people: (for they they all thought that John was a prophet indeed: )
33 Ils répondirent donc à Jésus: « Nous ne savons — Et moi, dit Jésus, je ne vous dirai pas non plus par quelle autorité je fais ces choses. »
and they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus replied and said unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
