Isaïe 24
1 Voici que Yahweh va dévaster la terre entière et la dépeupler; il en bouleversera la face et en dispersera les habitants.
Here! Yahweh [is] about to lay waste the earth and [is] about to devastate it and he will twist surface its and he will scatter inhabitants its.
2 Et il en sera du prêtre comme du peuple, du maître comme de son serviteur, de la maîtresse comme de sa servante, du vendeur comme de l’acheteur, de l’emprunteur comme du prêteur, du débiteur comme du créancier.
And it will be as the people as the priest as the servant as master his as the maidservant as mistress her as the buyer as the seller as the lender as the borrower as the creditor as [the one] who a creditor [is] in him.
3 La terre sera dévastée et livrée au pillage, car Yahweh a prononcé cette parole.
Certainly - it will be laid waste the earth and certainly - it will be plundered for Yahweh he has spoken the word this.
4 La terre est en deuil, épuisée; le monde est languissant et épuisé; l’élite des habitants de la terre languit.
It has dried up it has withered the earth it has languished it has withered [the] world they have languished [the] noble[s] of [the] people of the earth.
5 La terre a été profanée sous ses habitants; car ils ont transgressé les lois, violé le commandement, rompu l’alliance éternelle.
And the earth it has been polluted under inhabitants its for they have transgressed laws they have overstepped [the] decree they have broken [the] covenant of perpetuity.
6 C’est pourquoi la malédiction dévore la terre; et ses habitants portent leur peine. C’est pourquoi les habitants de la terre sont consumés; et ce qui reste de mortels est en petit nombre.
There-fore a curse it has consumed [the] earth and they have been held guilty [the] inhabitants in it there-fore they have diminished [the] inhabitants of [the] earth and it will be left humankind of smallness.
7 Le jus de la vigne est en deuil, le cep languit; tous ceux qui avaient la joie au cœur gémissent.
It has dried up new wine it has languished [the] vine they have groaned all [the people] joyful of heart.
8 Le son joyeux des tambourins a cessé, les fêtes bruyantes ont pris fin, le son joyeux de la harpe a cessé.
It has ceased [the] gaiety of tambourines it has stopped [the] uproar of jubilant [people] it has ceased [the] gaiety of [the] harp.
9 On ne boit plus de vin au bruit des chansons; la liqueur enivrante est amère au buveur.
With song not people will drink wine it will be bitter strong drink to [those who] drink it.
10 Elle est renversée, la ville de confusion; toute maison est fermée, on ne peut y entrer.
It has been broken [the] town of formlessness it has been shut up every house from entering.
11 On pousse des clameurs dans les rues, faute de vin; toute allégresse a disparu, la joie est bannie de la terre.
An outcry on wine [will be] in the streets it has become evening all gladness it has departed [the] gaiety of the earth.
12 Il ne reste de la ville que décombres, et les portes brisées sont en ruines.
It has remained in the city desolation and ruin it will be crushed [the] gate.
13 Car il en sera au milieu de la terre, parmi les peuples, comme quand on abat des olives, comme quand on grappille après la vendange.
For thus it will be in [the] midst of the earth in among the peoples like [the] beating of an olive tree like gleanings if it has come to an end [the] grape harvest.
14 Ceux-là élèvent leur voix, ils chantent; ils acclament de la mer la majesté de Yahweh:
They they will lift up voice their they will shout for joy in [the] majesty of Yahweh they will cry aloud from [the] west.
15 « Louez Yahweh dans les régions de l’aurore, le nom de Yahweh, le Dieu d’Israël, dans les îles du couchant. » —
There-fore in the east glorify Yahweh in [the] islands of the sea [the] name of Yahweh [the] God of Israel.
16 De l’extrémité de la terre nous entendons des cantiques: « Gloire au juste! — » Mais j’ai dit: « Je suis perdu! Je suis perdu, malheur à moi! » Les pillards pillent, les pillards pillent sans mesure!
From [the] extremity of the earth songs we have heard splendor [belongs] to the righteous [one] and I said leanness [belongs] to me leanness [belongs] to me woe! to me [those who] act treacherously they act treacherously and treachery [those who] act treacherously they act treacherously.
17 Epouvante, fosse et filet sont sur toi, habitant de la terre.
Dread and pit and snare [are] on you O inhabitant of the earth.
18 Celui qui fuira devant le cri d’épouvante tombera dans la fosse, et celui qui remontera du milieu de la fosse sera pris au filet. Car les écluses d’en haut sont ouvertes, et les fondements de la terre sont ébranlés.
And it will be the [one who] flees from [the] sound of the dread he will fall into the pit and the [one who] goes up from [the] midst of the pit he will be caught in snare for windows from a high place they have been opened and they have shaken [the] foundations of [the] earth.
19 La terre se brise avec violence; la terre éclate avec fracas; la terre s’ébranle avec force.
Utterly it has been broken the earth utterly it has been split through [the] earth certainly it has been shaken [the] earth.
20 La terre chancelle comme un homme ivre; elle vacille comme un hamac; son iniquité pèse sur elle; elle s’écroule pour ne plus se relever.
Wildly it will stagger [the] earth like drunkard and it will sway like hut and it will be heavy on it transgression its and it will fall and not it will repeat to rise.
21 En ce jour-là, Yahweh visitera, dans les hauteurs l’armée d’en haut, et sur la terre les rois de la terre.
And it will be in the day that he will visit [judgment] Yahweh on [the] host of the height in the height[s] and on [the] kings of the earth on the earth.
22 Et ils seront réunis captifs dans l’abîme, et ils seront emprisonnés dans la prison; après un grand nombre de jours, ils seront visités.
And they will be gathered a gathering prisoner[s] to a pit and they will be shut up at a prison and from an abundance of days they will be visited.
23 Et la lune rougira et le soleil pâlira, parce que Yahweh des armées régnera sur la montagne de Sion et à Jérusalem, et devant ses anciens éclatera la gloire.
And it will be abashed the moon and it will be ashamed the sun for he will reign Yahweh of hosts on [the] mountain of Zion and in Jerusalem and before elders his glory.
