Genèse 6
1 Lorsque les hommes eurent commencé à être nombreux sur la surface de la terre, et qu’il leur fut né des filles,
And it came to passe wha men bega to multiplye apo the erth ad had begot them doughters
2 les fils de Dieu virent que les filles des hommes étaient belles, et ils en prirent pour femmes parmi toutes celles qui leur plurent.
the sonnes of God sawe the doughters of men that they were fayre and toke vnto them wyves which they best liked amoge the all.
3 Et Yahweh dit: « Mon esprit ne demeurera pas toujours dans l’homme, car l’homme n’est que chair, et ses jours seront de cent vingt ans. »
And the LORd sayd: My spirite shall not allwaye stryve withe man for they are flesh. Nevertheles I wyll geue them yet space and hundred and. xx. yeres
4 Or, les géants étaient sur la terre en ces jours-là, et cela après que les fils de Dieu furent venus vers les filles des hommes, et qu’elles leur eurent donné des enfants: ce sont là les héros renommés dès les temps anciens.
There were tirantes in the world in thos dayes. For after that the children of God had gone in vnto the doughters of men and had begotten them childern the same childern were the mightiest of the world and men of renowne
5 Yahweh vit que la méchanceté des hommes était grande sur la terre, et que toutes les pensées de leur cœur se portaient chaque jour uniquement vers le mal.
And whan the LORde sawe yt the wekednesse of man was encreased apon the erth and that all the ymaginacion and toughtes of his hert was only evell continually
6 Et Yahweh se repentit d’avoir fait l’homme sur la terre, et il fut affligé dans son cœur,
he repented that he had made man apon the erth and sorowed in his hert.
7 et il dit: « J’exterminerai de dessus la terre l’homme que j’ai créé, depuis l’homme jusqu’aux animaux domestiques, aux reptiles et aux oiseaux du ciel, car je me repens de les avoir faits. »
And sayd: I wyll destroy mankynde which I haue made fro of the face of the erth: both man beast worme and foule of the ayre for it repeteth me that I haue made them.
8 Mais Noé trouva grâce aux yeux de Yahweh.
But yet Noe found grace in the syghte of the LORde.
9 Voici l’histoire de Noé. Noé était un homme juste, intègre parmi les hommes de son temps; Noé marchait avec Dieu.
These are the generatios of Noe. Noe was a righteous man and vncorrupte in his tyme and walked wyth god.
10 Noé engendra trois fils, Sem, Cham et Japheth.
And Noe begat. iij. sonnes: Sem Ham and Iapheth.
11 Or la terre se corrompit devant Dieu et se remplit de violence.
And the erth was corrupte in the syghte of god and was full of mischefe.
12 Dieu regarda la terre, et voici qu’elle était corrompue, car toute chair avait corrompu sa voie sur la terre.
And God loked vpon the erth ad loo it was corrupte: for all flesh had corrupte his way vppon the erth.
13 Alors Dieu dit à Noé: « La fin de toute chair est venue devant moi, car la terre est pleine de violence à cause d’eux; je vais les détruire, ainsi que la terre.
Than sayd God to Noe: the end of all flesh is come before me for the erth is full of there myschefe. And loo I wyll destroy them with the erth.
14 Fais-toi une arche de bois résineux; tu la feras composée de cellules et tu l’enduiras de bitume en dedans et en dehors.
Make the an arcke of pyne tree and make chaumbers in the arcke and pytch it wythin and wythout wyth pytch.
15 Voici comment tu la feras: la longueur de l’arche sera de trois cents coudées, sa largeur de cinquante coudées et sa hauteur de trente.
And of this facion shalt thou make it. The lenth of the arcke shall be. iij. hundred cubytes ad the bredth of it. l. cubytes and the heyth of it. xxx. cubytes.
16 Tu feras à l’arche une ouverture, à laquelle tu donneras une coudée depuis le toit; tu établiras une porte sur le côté de l’arche, et tu feras un premier, un second et un troisième étage de cellules.
A wyndow shalt thou make aboue in the arcke. And wythin a cubyte compasse shalt thou finysh it. And the dore of the arcke shalt thou sette in ye syde of it: and thou shalt make it with. iij loftes one aboue an other.
17 Et moi, je vais faire venir le déluge, une inondation de la terre, pour détruire de dessous le ciel toute chair ayant en soi souffle de vie; tout ce qui est sur la terre périra.
For behold I wil bringe in a floud of water apon the erth to destroy all flesh from vnder heaven wherin breth of life is so that all that is in the erth shall perish.
18 Mais j’établirai mon alliance avec toi; et tu entreras dans l’arche, toi et tes fils, ta femme et les femmes de tes fils avec toi.
But I will make myne apoyntement with the that both thou shalt come in to ye arcke and thy sonnes thy wyfe and thy sonnes wyves with the.
19 De tout ce qui vit, de toute chair, tu feras entrer dans l’arche deux de chaque espèce, pour les conserver en vie avec toi; ce sera un mâle et une femelle.
And of all that lyveth what soever flesh it be shalt thou brynge in to the arcke of every thynge a payre to kepe them a lyve wyth the. And male and female
20 Des oiseaux des diverses espèces, des animaux domestiques des diverses espèces, et de toutes les espèces d’animaux qui rampent sur le sol, deux de toute espèce viendront vers toi, pour que tu leur conserves la vie.
se that they be of byrdes in their kynde and of beastes in their kynde and of all maner of wormes of the erth in their kinde: a payre of every thinge shall come vnto the to kepe them a lyve.
21 Et toi, prends de tous les aliments que l’on mange et fais-en provision près de toi, afin qu’ils te servent de nourriture, ainsi qu’à eux. »
And take vnto the of all maner of meate yt may be eaten and laye it vp in stoore by the that it may be meate both for ye and for the:
22 Noé se mit à l’œuvre; il fit tout ce que Dieu lui avait ordonné.
and Noe dyd acordynge to all that God commaunded hym.
