Ézéchiel 6
1 La parole de Yahweh me fut adressée en ces termes:
And the word of Jehovah came to me, saying:
2 Fils de l’homme, tourne ta face vers les montagnes d’Israël et prophétise contre elles.
Son of man, set thy face against the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them!
3 Tu diras: Montagnes d’Israël, écoutez la parole du Seigneur Yahweh: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahweh aux montagnes et aux collines, aux ravins et vallées: Voici que je fais venir contre vous l’épée, et je détruirai vos hauts lieux.
And say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord Jehovah! Thus saith the Lord Jehovah to the mountains and to the hills, to the plains and to the valleys: Behold, I, even I, will bring the sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places;
4 Et vos autels seront dévastés, et vos colonnes solaires seront brisées; et je ferai tomber vos hommes frappés à mort devant vos idoles.
and your altars shall be desolate, and your sun-images shall be broken; and I will cast down your slain before your idols.
5 Je mettrai les cadavres des enfants d’Israël devant leurs idoles. Et je sèmerai vos ossements autour de vos autels.
And I will lay the carcasses of the sons of Israel before their idols; and I will scatter your bones round about your altars.
6 Partout où vous habitez, les villes seront désolées, et les hauts lieux dévastés, afin que vos autels soient désolés et détruits, vos idoles brisées et anéanties, vos colonnes solaires abattues, et vos ouvrages ruinés.
In all places where ye dwell shall the cities be laid waste, and the high places be desolate; that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken, and cease, and your sun-images may be cut down, and your works may be destroyed.
7 Des blessés à mort tomberont au milieu de vous, et vous saurez que je suis Yahweh.
And the slain shall fall in the midst of you, that ye may know that I am Jehovah.
8 Mais je vous laisserai un reste, des réchappés du glaive parmi les nations, quand vous serez dispersés dans les pays.
Yet will I leave a remnant, that ye may have some that shall have escaped the sword among the nations, when ye shall be scattered through the countries.
9 Et vos réchappés se souviendront de moi chez les nations, où je les emmènerai captifs, quand j’aurai brisé leur cœur adultère, qui s’est détourné de moi, et leurs yeux adultères, qui se sont tournés vers leurs idoles; et ils se prendront eux-mêmes en dégoût, pour le mal qu’ils ont fait, en commettant toutes leurs abominations.
And they of you that escape shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, when I have broken their whorish heart which departed from me, and their eyes which went lusting after their idols; and they shall loathe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.
10 Et ils sauront que je suis Yahweh; ce n’est pas en vain que j’ai parlé de faire venir sur eux ces maux.
Then shall they know that I am Jehovah, and that I have not said in vain, that I would do all this evil to them.
11 Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahweh: Frappe dans ta main et bats du pied, et dis: Hélas! sur toutes les méchantes abominations de la maison d’Israël, qui va périr par l’épée, par la famine et par la peste.
Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Smite upon thy hand, and stamp with thy foot, and say, Alas for all the evil abominations of the house of Israel! for by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence shall they fall.
12 Celui qui sera loin mourra de la peste, et celui qui sera près tombera par l’épée; celui qui sera resté et sera conservé mourra de faim, et j’assouvirai sur eux mon courroux.
He that is far off shall die by pestilence, and he that is near shall fall by the sword, and he that remaineth and is preserved shall die by famine. Thus will I accomplish my fury upon them.
13 Et vous saurez que je suis Yahweh quand leurs morts seront couchés au milieu de leurs idoles autour de leurs autels, sur toute colline élevée, sur tous les sommets des montagnes, sous tout arbre vert, et sous tout chêne au feuillage touffu, à l’endroit où ils ont offert un encens d’agréable odeur à toutes leurs idoles.
Then shall ye know that I am Jehovah, when their slain men shall be among their idols round about their altars, upon every high hill, upon all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and under every thick oak, in every place where they offered sweet savor to all their idols.
14 J’étendrai ma main contre eux, et je rendrai le pays désolé et dévasté, depuis le désert jusqu’à Diblah, partout où ils habitent; et ils sauront que je suis Yahweh.
So will I stretch out my hand against them, and make the land desolate; yea, more desolate than the wilderness toward Diblath, in all their habitations; and they shall know that I am Jehovah.
