Deutéronome 16
1 Observe le mois d’Abib et célèbre la Pâque en l’honneur de Yahweh, ton Dieu; car c’est au mois d’Abib que Yahweh, ton Dieu, t’a fait sortir d’Égypte, pendant la nuit.
Observe the month of Abib, when thou shalt keep a passover unto Yahweh thy God, —for in the month of Abib, did Yahweh thy God bring thee forth out of Egypt by night:
2 Tu immoleras la Pâque à Yahweh, ton Dieu, les brebis et les bœufs, au lieu que Yahweh, ton Dieu, aura choisi pour y faire habiter son nom.
therefore shalt thou sacrifice a passover unto Yahweh thy God of flock or herd, —in the place which Yahweh shall choose to make a habitation for his name there.
3 Avec ces victimes, tu ne mangeras pas du pain levé, mais pendant sept jours tu mangeras des pains sans levain, du pain d’affliction, — car c’est en hâte que tu es sorti du pays d’Égypte, — afin que tu te souviennes toute ta vie du jour où tu es sorti d’Égypte.
Thou shalt not eat therewith any thing leavened, seven days, shalt thou eat therewith unleavened cakes the bread of humiliation, —for in haste, camest thou forth out of the land of Egypt, that thou mayest remember the day when thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt, all the days of thy life.
4 On ne verra pas chez toi de levain, dans toute l’étendue de ton territoire, pendant sept jours, et aucune partie des victimes que tu auras immolées le soir du premier jour ne restera pendant la nuit jusqu’au matin.
And there shall not be seen with thee leaven in any of thy bounds seven days, —neither shall there remain all night of the flesh which thou shalt sacrifice in the evening, on the first day, unto the morning.
5 Tu ne pourras pas sacrifier la Pâque dans chacune de tes villes que te donnera Yahweh, ton Dieu;
Thou mayest not sacrifice the passover, —within any of thine own gates which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee;
6 mais c’est au lieu que Yahweh, ton Dieu, aura choisi pour y faire habiter son nom, que tu sacrifieras la Pâque, le soir, au coucher du soleil, au temps de ta sortie d’Égypte.
but in the place which Yahweh thy God shall choose to make a habitation for his name, there, shalt thou sacrifice the passover in the evening, —at the going in of the sun, at the very time thou camest forth out of Egypt.
7 Tu feras cuire la victime et tu la mangeras au lieu qu’aura choisi Yahweh, ton Dieu; et tu t’en retourneras le matin pour aller dans tes tentes.
Therefore shalt thou cook and eat it in the place which Yahweh thy God, shall choose, —and shalt turn away in the morning, and go thy way unto thy tents.
8 Pendant six jours, tu mangeras des pains sans levain, et le septième jour sera l’assemblée solennelle en l’honneur de Yahweh, ton Dieu: tu ne feras aucun ouvrage.
Six days, shalt thou eat unleavened cakes, —and, on the seventh day, shall be a closing feast, unto Yahweh thy God, thou shalt do no work.
9 Tu compteras sept semaines; dès que la faucille sera mise au blé, tu commenceras à compter sept semaines;
Seven weeks, shalt thou count unto thee, —from the beginning of thrusting in the sickle into the standing corn, shalt thou begin to count, seven weeks.
10 et tu célébreras la fête des Semaines en l’honneur de Yahweh, ton Dieu, avec les offrandes volontaires de tes mains, que tu feras selon que Yahweh, ton Dieu, t’auras béni.
So shalt thou keep the festival of weeks unto Yahweh thy God, in the measure of the freewill offering of thy hand which thou shalt give, —as Yahweh thy God shall bless thee.
11 Tu te réjouiras en présence de Yahweh, ton Dieu, dans le lieu que Yahweh ton Dieu, aura choisi pour y faire habiter son nom, toi, ton fils et ta fille, ton serviteur et ta servante, le Lévite qui sera dans tes portes, ainsi que l’étranger, l’orphelin et la veuve qui seront au milieu de toi.
So shalt thou rejoice before Yahweh thy God—thou, and thy son and thy daughter and thy servant and thy handmaid, and the Levite who is within thy gates, and the sojourner, and the fatherless and the widow who are in thy midst, —in the place which Yahweh thy God shall choose, to make a habitation for his name there.
12 Tu te souviendras que tu as été esclave en Égypte, et tu auras soin de mettre ces lois en pratique.
So shalt thou remember that a servant, thou wast in Egypt, —and shalt observe and do these statutes.
13 Tu célébreras la fête des Tabernacles pendant sept jours, lorsque tu auras recueilli le produit de ton aire et de ton pressoir;
The festival of booths, shalt thou keep for thyself seven days, —when thou hast gathered in out of thy threshing-floor and out of thy wine-vat.
14 tu te réjouiras à cette fête, toi, ton fils et ta fille, ton serviteur et ta servante, ainsi que le Lévite, l’étranger, l’orphelin et la veuve qui seront dans tes portes.
And thou shalt rejoice in thy festival, —thou, and thy son and thy daughter, and thy servant and thy handmaid, and the Levite and the sojourner, and the fatherless and the widow, who are within thy gates.
15 Tu célébreras la fête pendant sept jours en l’honneur de Yahweh, ton Dieu, dans le lieu que Yahweh aura choisi; car Yahweh, ton Dieu, te bénira dans toutes tes récoltes et dans tout le travail de tes mains, et tu seras tout entier à la joie.
Seven days, shalt thou keep festival unto Yahweh thy God, in the place which Yahweh shall choose, —for Yahweh thy God, will bless thee, in all thine increase and in all the work of thy hands, —therefore shalt thou do nothing but, rejoice.
16 Trois fois par année, tout mâle d’entre vous se présentera devant Yahweh, votre Dieu, dans le lieu qu’il aura choisi: à la fête des Azymes, à la fête des Semaines et à la fête des Tabernacles; il ne paraîtra pas devant Yahweh les mains vides.
Three times in the year, shall each one of thy males see the face of Yahweh thy God, in the place which he shall choose, at the festival of unleavened cakes and at the festival of weeks and at the festival of booths, —and none shall see the face of Yahweh empty-handed:
17 Chacun fera ses offrandes, selon ce qu’il peut donner, selon les bénédictions que Yahweh, ton Dieu, lui aura accordées.
every man according as his hand can give, —according to the blessing of Yahweh thy God, which he hath bestowed upon thee.
18 Tu établiras des juges et des magistrats dans toutes les villes que Yahweh, ton Dieu, te donnera, selon tes tribus, et ils jugeront le peuple avec justice.
Judges and officers, shalt thou appoint thee in all thy gates, which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee, by thy tribes, —and they shall judge the people, with righteous judgment,
19 Tu ne feras pas fléchir le droit, tu n’auras pas égard aux personnes et tu ne recevras pas de présents, car les présents aveuglent les yeux des sages et corrompent les paroles des justes.
Thou shalt not wrest judgment, thou shalt not take note of faces, —nor shalt thou accept a bribe, for the bribe, blindeth the eyes of wise men, and perverteth the words of righteous men.
20 Tu suivras strictement la justice, afin que tu vives et que tu possèdes le pays que te donne Yahweh, ton Dieu.
What is right, what is right, shalt thou pursue, —that thou mayest live and possess the land, which, Yahweh thy God, is giving unto thee.
21 Tu ne planteras pas d’aschéra, aucun bois, à côté de l’autel que tu élèveras à Yahweh, ton Dieu.
Thou shalt not plant thee, as a sacred stem, any tree, —near unto the altar of Yahweh thy God which thou shalt make for thyself;
22 Tu ne dresseras pas de ces stèles, qui sont en aversion à Yahweh, ton Dieu.
neither shalt thou set thee up a pillar, —which Yahweh thy God, doth hate.
