2 Chroniques 30
1 Ezéchias envoya des messagers dans tout Israël et Juda, et il écrivit des lettres à Ephraïm et à Manassé, les invitant à venir à la maison de Yahweh à Jérusalem, pour célébrer la Pâque en l’honneur de Yahweh, le Dieu d’Israël.
And he sent Hezekiah to all Israel and Judah and also letters he wrote to Ephraim and Manasseh to come to [the] house of Yahweh in Jerusalem to observe a passover to Yahweh [the] God of Israel.
2 Le roi, ses chefs et toute l’assemblée de Jérusalem, avaient tenu conseil, afin que la Pâque fut célébrée au second mois;
And he had taken counsel the king and officials his and all the assembly in Jerusalem to observe the passover in the month second.
3 car on n’avait pu la faire en son temps, parce que les prêtres ne s’étaient pas sanctifiés en assez grand nombre, et que le peuple ne s’était pas rassemblé à Jérusalem.
For not they had been able to observe it at the time that for the priests not they had consecrated themselves to [what] [was] sufficiency and the people not they had gathered to Jerusalem.
4 La chose parut juste aux yeux du roi et de toute l’assemblée.
And it was pleasing the thing in [the] eyes of the king and in [the] eyes of all the assembly.
5 Ils décidèrent de faire passer une proclamation dans tout Israël, depuis Bersabée jusqu’à Dan, pour que l’on vint à Jérusalem célébrer la Pâque en l’honneur de Yahweh, le Dieu d’Israël; car ils ne l’avaient plus célébrée en grand nombre, selon qu’il est écrit.
And they appointed a word to cause to pass a proclamation in all Israel from Beer Sheba and to Dan to come to observe a passover to Yahweh [the] God of Israel in Jerusalem for not to multitude they had done according to [what] is written.
6 Les coureurs allèrent avec les lettres du roi et de ses chefs dans tout Israël et Juda, pour dire d’après l’ordre du roi: « Enfants d’Israël, revenez à Yahweh, le Dieu d’Abraham, d’Isaac et d’Israël, et il reviendra à ceux qui restent, à ceux d’entre vous qui ont échappé à la main des rois d’Assyrie.
And they went the runners with letters from [the] hand of the king and officials his in all Israel and Judah and according to [the] command of the king saying O people of Israel return to Yahweh [the] God of Abraham Isaac and Israel so he may return to the escaped remnant which remains to you from [the] hand of [the] kings of Assyria.
7 Ne soyez pas comme vos pères et comme vos frères, qui ont péché contre Yahweh, le Dieu de leurs pères, et qu’il a livrés à la désolation, comme vous le voyez.
And may not you be like fathers your and like brothers your who they acted unfaithfully against Yahweh [the] God of ancestors their and he made them into a horror just as you [are] seeing.
8 Ne roidissez donc pas votre cou, comme l’ont fait vos pères; donnez la main à Yahweh, venez à son sanctuaire, qu’il a sanctifié pour toujours, et servez Yahweh, votre Dieu, afin que le feu de sa colère se détourne de vous.
Now may not you harden neck your like fathers your give a hand to Yahweh and come to sanctuary his which he has consecrated for ever and serve Yahweh God your so may it turn back from you [the] burning of anger his.
9 Car si vous revenez à Yahweh, vos frères et vos fils trouveront miséricorde auprès de ceux qui les ont emmenés captifs, et il ne détournera pas sa face de vous, si vous revenez à lui. »
For when return you to Yahweh relatives your and children your to compassion before captors their and to return to the land this for [is] gracious and compassionate Yahweh God your and not he will turn aside face from you if you will turn back to him.
10 Les coureurs passèrent ainsi de ville en ville dans le pays d’Ephraïm et de Manassé, et jusqu’à Zabulon; mais on se riait d’eux et on se moquait d’eux.
And they were the runners passing from city - to [the] city in [the] land of Ephraim and Manasseh and to Zebulun and people were laughing on them and mocking them.
11 Quelques hommes seulement d’Aser, de Manassé et de Zabulon s’humilièrent et vinrent à Jérusalem.
Nevertheless men from Asher and Manasseh and from Zebulun they humbled themselves and they came to Jerusalem.
12 Dans Juda aussi, la main de Dieu s’étendit pour leur donner un même cœur et leur faire exécuter l’ordre du roi et des chefs, selon la parole de Yahweh.
Also on Judah it was [the] hand of God to give to them a heart one to do [the] command of the king and the officials by [the] word of Yahweh.
13 Un peuple nombreux se réunit à Jérusalem pour célébrer la fête des Azymes au second mois: ce fut une immense assemblée.
And they gathered Jerusalem a people numerous to observe [the] festival of the unleavened bread in the month second an assembly for multitude exceedingly.
14 S’étant levés, ils firent disparaître les autels qui étaient à Jérusalem; ils firent aussi disparaître tous les autels des parfums, et ils les jetèrent dans la vallée du Cédron.
And they arose and they removed the altars which [were] in Jerusalem and all the incense altars they removed and they threw [them] to [the] wadi of Kidron.
15 Ils immolèrent ensuite la Pâque, le quatorzième jour du second mois. Les prêtres et les lévites, pris de confusion, se sanctifièrent, et offrirent des holocaustes dans la maison de Yahweh.
And they slaughtered the passover on [day] four-teen of the month second and the priests and the Levites they were ashamed and they consecrated themselves and they brought burnt offerings [the] house of Yahweh.
16 Ils occupaient leur place ordinaire, selon leur règlement, selon la loi de Moïse, l’homme de Dieu; et les prêtres répandaient le sang qu’ils recevaient de la main des lévites.
And they stood at place their according to custom their according to [the] law of Moses [the] man of God the priests [were] sprinkling the blood from [the] hand of the Levites.
17 Comme il y avait dans l’assemblée une foule de gens qui ne s’étaient pas sanctifiés, les lévites étaient chargés d’immoler les victimes pascales pour tous ceux qui n’étaient pas purs, afin de les consacrer à Yahweh.
For many among the assembly who not they had consecrated themselves and the Levites [were] over [the] slaughter of the passovers for every not clean to consecrate [them] to Yahweh.
18 Car une grande partie du peuple, une foule de ceux d’Ephraïm, de Manassé, d’Issachar et de Zabulon ne s’étaient pas purifiés, et ils mangèrent la Pâque sans se conformer à ce qui est écrit. Mais Ezéchias pria pour eux, en disant: « Que Yahweh, qui est bon, pardonne
For [the] greater part of the people many from Ephraim and Manasseh Issachar and Zebulun not they had purified themselves for they ate the passover with not according to [what] is written for he had prayed Hezekiah on them saying Yahweh good may he make atonement for.
19 à tous ceux qui ont appliqué leur cœur à chercher Dieu, Yahweh, le Dieu de leurs pères, quoiqu’ils n’aient pas la pureté requise au sanctuaire! »
Every [one who] heart his he has directed to seek God - Yahweh [the] God of ancestors his and not according to [the] purification of the holy place.
20 Yahweh exauça Ezéchias et pardonna au peuple.
And he listened Yahweh to Hezekiah and he healed the people.
21 Et les enfants d’Israël qui se trouvèrent à Jérusalem célébrèrent la fête des Azymes pendant sept jours avec une grande joie, et chaque jour les lévites et les prêtres louaient Yahweh avec les instruments puissants, en l’honneur de Yahweh.
And they observed [the] people of Israel who were found (in Jerusalem *L(abh)*) [the] festival of the unleavened bread seven days with joy great and [were] praising Yahweh a day - in a day the Levites and the priests with instruments of strength to Yahweh.
22 Ezéchias parla au cœur de tous les lévites, qui montraient une grande intelligence pour le service de Yahweh. Ils mangèrent les victimes de la fête pendant sept jours, offrant des sacrifices pacifiques et louant Yahweh, le Dieu de leurs pères.
And he spoke Hezekiah to [the] heart of all the Levites who were understanding understanding good to Yahweh and they ate the appointed feast [the] seven the days sacrificing sacrifices of peace offerings and giving thanks to Yahweh [the] God of ancestors their.
23 Toute l’assemblée fut d’avis de célébrer sept autres jours, et ils célébrèrent sept autres jours joyeusement;
And they took counsel all the assembly to observe seven days another and they observed seven days joy.
24 car Ezéchias, roi de Juda, avait donné à l’assemblée mille taureaux et sept mille brebis, et les chefs lui avaient donné mille taureaux et dix mille brebis, et des prêtres en grand nombre s’étaient sanctifiés.
For Hezekiah [the] king of Judah he contributed for the assembly one thousand young bulls and seven thousand sheep. And the officials they contributed for the assembly young bulls one thousand and sheep ten thousand and they consecrated themselves priests to multitude.
25 Toute l’assemblée de Juda, les prêtres et les lévites, toute l’assemblée venue d’Israël et les étrangers venus du pays d’Israël ou établis en Juda se livrèrent à la joie.
And they rejoiced - all [the] assembly of Judah and the priests and the Levites and all the assembly which were coming from Israel and the sojourners who were coming from [the] land of Israel and who were dwelling in Judah.
26 Il y eut à Jérusalem de grandes réjouissances, au point que depuis le temps de Salomon, fils de David, roi d’Israël, rien de semblable n’avait eu lieu dans Jérusalem.
And it was joy great in Jerusalem for since [the] days of Solomon [the] son of David [the] king of Israel not like this in Jerusalem.
27 Les prêtres lévitiques se levèrent et bénirent le peuple, et leur voix fut entendue; leur prière arriva jusqu’à la sainte demeure de Yahweh, jusqu’au ciel.
And they arose the priests the Levites and they blessed the people and it was listened to voice their and it came prayer their to [the] dwelling of holiness his to the heavens.
