Apocalypse 1
1 C'est ici la Révélation de Jésus-Christ, que Dieu lui a donnée pour montrer à ses serviteurs les choses qui doivent arriver bientôt, qu'il a envoyée et fait connaître par son ange à son serviteur Jean,
The revelation given by Jesus Christ, which God granted Him, that He might make known to His servants certain events which must shortly come to pass: and He sent His angel and communicated it to His servant John.
2 lequel a rendu témoignage à la parole de Dieu et au témoignage de Jésus-Christ, sur tout ce qu'il a vu.
This is the John who taught the truth concerning the Word of God and the truth told us by Jesus Christ-- a faithful account of what he had seen.
3 Heureux celui qui lit et ceux qui entendent les paroles de la prophétie, et qui gardent les choses qui y sont écrites, car le temps est proche.
Blessed is he who reads and blessed are those who listen to the words of this prophecy and lay to heart what is written in it; for the time for its fulfillment is now close at hand.
4 Jean, aux sept assemblées qui sont en Asie: Grâce et paix à vous de la part de Dieu, qui est, qui était et qui vient, et des sept Esprits qui sont devant son trône,
John sends greetings to the seven Churches in the province of Asia. May grace be granted to you, and peace, from Him who is and was and evermore will be; and from the seven Spirits which are before His throne;
5 et de la part de Jésus-Christ, le témoin fidèle, le premier-né d'entre les morts, et le chef des rois de la terre. À celui qui nous aime, qui nous a lavés de nos péchés par son sang -
and from Jesus Christ, the truthful witness, the first of the dead to be born to Life, and the Ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins with His own blood,
6 et qui a fait de nous un Royaume, des prêtres pour son Dieu et Père - à lui la gloire et la domination pour les siècles des siècles. Amen. (aiōn g165)
and has formed us into a Kingdom, to be priests to God, His Father--to Him be ascribed the glory and the power until the Ages of the Ages. Amen. (aiōn g165)
7 Voici, il vient sur les nuées, et tout œil le verra, même ceux qui l'ont percé. Toutes les tribus de la terre se lamenteront sur lui. Ainsi soit-il, Amen.
He is coming in the clouds, and every eye will see Him, and so will those who pierced Him; and all the nations of the earth will gaze on Him and mourn. Even so. Amen.
8 « Je suis l'Alpha et l'Oméga, dit le Seigneur Dieu qui est, qui était et qui vient, le Tout-Puissant. »
"I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "He who is and was and evermore will be--the Ruler of all."
9 Moi, Jean, votre frère et votre associé dans l'oppression, le Royaume et la persévérance en Jésus-Christ, j'étais sur l'île qu'on appelle Patmos, à cause de la Parole de Dieu et du témoignage de Jésus-Christ.
I John, your brother, and a sharer with you in the sorrows and Kingship and patient endurance of Jesus, found myself in the island of Patmos, on account of the Word of God and the truth told us by Jesus.
10 J'étais en Esprit au jour du Seigneur, et j'entendis derrière moi une voix forte, comme une trompette
In the Spirit I found myself present on the day of the Lord, and I heard behind me a loud voice which resembled the blast of a trumpet.
11 qui disait: « Ce que tu vois, écris-le dans un livre et envoie-le aux sept assemblées: à Éphèse, à Smyrne, à Pergame, à Thyatire, à Sardes, à Philadelphie et à Laodicée. »
It said, "Write forthwith in a roll an account of what you see, and send it to the seven Churches--to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyateira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea."
12 Je me suis retourné pour voir la voix qui me parlait. Et je me retournai, et je vis sept chandeliers d'or.
I turned to see who it was that was speaking to me; and then I saw seven golden lampstands,
13 Et parmi les chandeliers, il y en avait un qui ressemblait à un fils d'homme, vêtu d'une robe qui lui descendait jusqu'aux pieds, et d'une ceinture d'or autour de sa poitrine.
and in the center of the lampstands some One resembling the Son of Man, clothed in a robe which reached to His feet, and with a girdle of gold across His breast.
14 Sa tête et ses cheveux étaient blancs comme de la laine blanche, comme de la neige. Ses yeux étaient comme une flamme de feu.
His head and His hair were white, like white wool--as white as snow; and His eyes resembled a flame of fire.
15 Ses pieds étaient semblables à de l'airain poli, comme s'il avait été affiné dans une fournaise. Sa voix était comme le bruit des grandes eaux.
His feet were like silver-bronze, when it is white-hot in a furnace; and His voice resembled the sound of many waters.
16 Il avait sept étoiles dans sa main droite. De sa bouche sortait une épée aiguë à deux tranchants. Son visage était comme le soleil brillant à son plus haut degré.
In His right hand He held seven stars, and a sharp, two-edged sword was seen coming from His mouth; and His glance resembled the sun when it is shining with its full strength.
17 Quand je le vis, je tombai à ses pieds comme un mort. Il posa sa main droite sur moi, en disant: « N'aie pas peur. Je suis le premier et le dernier,
When I saw Him, I fell at His feet as if I were dead. But He laid His right hand upon me and said, "Do not be afraid: I am the First and the Last, and the ever-living One.
19 Écris donc les choses que tu as vues, les choses qui sont, et les choses qui arriveront dans la suite.
Write down therefore the things you have just seen, and those which are now taking place, and those which are soon to follow:
20 Voici le mystère des sept étoiles que tu as vues dans ma main droite, et des sept chandeliers d'or: Les sept étoiles sont les anges des sept assemblées. Les sept chandeliers sont les sept assemblées.
the secret meaning of the seven stars which you have seen in My right hand, and of the seven lampstands of gold. The seven stars are the ministers of the seven Churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven Churches.
