Apocalypse 5
1 Je vis, dans la main droite de celui qui était assis sur le trône, un livre écrit en dedans et en dehors, fermé par sept sceaux.
And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the back, close sealed with seven seals.
2 Je vis un ange puissant qui proclamait d'une voix forte: « Qui est digne d'ouvrir le livre et d'en rompre les sceaux? »
And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a great voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?
3 Personne, ni dans le ciel en haut, ni sur la terre, ni sous la terre, n'a pu ouvrir le livre ni le regarder.
And no one in the heaven, or on the earth, or under the earth, was able to open the book, or to look thereon.
4 Alors je pleurai beaucoup, parce que personne ne fut trouvé digne d'ouvrir le livre ou de le regarder.
And I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open the book, or to look thereon:
5 L'un des anciens me dit: « Ne pleure pas. Voici que le Lion qui est de la tribu de Juda, la racine de David, a vaincu: celui qui ouvre le livre et ses sept sceaux. »
and one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not; behold, the Lion that is of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath overcome to open the book and the seven seals thereof.
6 Je vis au milieu du trône et des quatre êtres vivants, et au milieu des anciens, un agneau debout, comme immolé, ayant sept cornes et sept yeux, qui sont les sept esprits de Dieu, envoyés par toute la terre.
And I saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, having seven horns, and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent forth into all the earth.
7 Alors il vint, et il prit le livre de la main droite de celui qui était assis sur le trône.
And he came, and he taketh [it] out of the right hand of him that sat on the throne.
8 Lorsqu'il eut pris le livre, les quatre êtres vivants et les vingt-quatre vieillards se prosternèrent devant l'agneau, ayant chacun une harpe et des coupes d'or remplies de parfums, qui sont les prières des saints.
And when he had taken the book, the four living creatures and the four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having each one a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
9 Ils chantèrent un cantique nouveau, en disant, « Vous êtes digne de prendre le livre et d'ouvrir ses sceaux, car tu as été tué, et tu nous as acheté pour Dieu avec ton sang de toute tribu, langue, peuple et nation,
And they sing a new song, saying, Worthy art thou to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and didst purchase unto God with thy blood [men] of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation,
10 et a fait de nous des rois et des prêtres pour notre Dieu; et nous régnerons sur la terre. »
and madest them [to be] unto our God a kingdom and priests; and they reign upon the earth.
11 Je regardai, et j'entendis comme la voix de beaucoup d'anges autour du trône, des êtres vivants et des vieillards. Leur nombre était de dix mille, de dix mille et de milliers de milliers,
And I saw, and I heard a voice of many angels round about the throne and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;
12 disant d'une voix forte: « L'agneau qui a été tué est digne de recevoir la puissance, la richesse, la sagesse, la force, l'honneur, la gloire et la bénédiction! »
saying with a great voice, Worthy is the Lamb that hath been slain to receive the power, and riches, and wisdom, and might, and honor, and glory, and blessing.
13 J'ai entendu tout ce qui a été créé dans les cieux, sur la terre, sous la terre, sur la mer, et tout ce qui s'y trouve, dire: « A celui qui est assis sur le trône et à l'Agneau, la bénédiction, l'honneur, la gloire et la domination, aux siècles des siècles! Amen! » (aiōn g165)
And every created thing which is in the heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and all things that are in them, heard I saying, Unto him that sitteth on the throne, and unto the Lamb, [be] the blessing, and the honor, and the glory, and the dominion, for ever and ever. (aiōn g165)
14 Les quatre êtres vivants dirent: « Amen! » Puis les anciens se prosternèrent et se prosternèrent.
And the four living creatures said, Amen. And the elders fell down and worshipped.
