Apocalypse 4

1 Après cela, je regardai et je vis une porte ouverte dans le ciel; et la première voix que j'entendis, comme une trompette qui me parlait, était une voix qui disait: « Monte ici, et je te montrerai ce qui doit arriver après cela. »

AFTER these things I beheld, and, lo! a door was opened in heaven, and a voice, the first which I heard, as of a trumpet, speaking to me, said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee what things will be after these.

2 Aussitôt, je fus rempli d'Esprit. Et voici, il y avait un trône placé dans le ciel, et quelqu'un assis sur le trône

And immediately I was rapt in spirit: and, lo! a throne was placed in heaven, and upon the throne a person sitting.

3 qui ressemblait à une pierre de jaspe et à une sardoine. Il y avait un arc-en-ciel autour du trône, comme une émeraude à regarder.

And he that sat was in appearance like a stone of jasper and sardine: and a rainbow encircled the throne, like in hue to an emerald.

4 Autour du trône, il y avait vingt-quatre trônes. Sur les trônes étaient assis vingt-quatre anciens, vêtus de vêtements blancs, avec des couronnes d'or sur la tête.

And around the throne were twenty-four thrones; and upon these thrones I saw twenty-four presbyters seated, clothed in white robes; and they had on their heads golden crowns.

5 Du trône partent des éclairs, des sons et des tonnerres. Devant son trône brûlaient sept lampes de feu, qui sont les sept Esprits de Dieu.

And out of the throne issued forth lightnings, and thunder, and loud voices; and seven lamps of fire burned before the throne, which are the seven spirits of God.

6 Devant le trône était quelque chose comme une mer de verre, semblable à du cristal. Au milieu du trône, et autour du trône, il y avait quatre êtres vivants remplis d'yeux devant et derrière.

And before the throne was a sea of glass like crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and within the circle of the throne, were four living beings full of eyes before and behind.

7 Le premier être vivant était semblable à un lion, le deuxième être vivant était semblable à un veau, le troisième être vivant avait un visage d'homme, et le quatrième être vivant était semblable à un aigle qui vole.

And the first living being was like a lion, and the second living being was like a calf, and the third living being had a face as a man, and the fourth living being was like an eagle with wings expanded.

8 Les quatre êtres vivants, qui ont chacun six ailes, sont pleins d'yeux autour et au-dedans. Ils n'ont de cesse, jour et nuit, de répéter: « Saint, saint, saint est le Seigneur Dieu, le Tout-Puissant, qui était, qui est et qui vient! »

And the four living beings had each for himself six wings encircling him, and within they were full of eyes; and they never cease day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, who was, and who is, and who is coming.

9 Lorsque les êtres vivants rendent gloire, honneur et louange à celui qui est assis sur le trône, à celui qui vit aux siècles des siècles, (aiōn g165)

And when these living beings give glory, and honour, and thanksgiving to him that sitteth on the throne, to him who liveth for ever and ever, (aiōn g165)

10 les vingt-quatre anciens se prosternent devant celui qui est assis sur le trône et adorent celui qui vit aux siècles des siècles, et ils jettent leurs couronnes devant le trône, en disant: (aiōn g165)

the four and twenty presbyters prostrate themselves before him who is Seated on the throne, and worship him who liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, (aiōn g165)

11 « Tu es digne, Seigneur et Dieu, le Saint, de recevoir la gloire, l'honneur et la puissance, car c'est toi qui as créé toutes choses, et c'est par ta volonté qu'elles existent et qu'elles ont été créées. »

Worthy art thou, O Lord, to receive glory, and honour, and power; for thou hast created all things, and by thy will they exist, and were created.
