Apocalypse 16
1 J'entendis du temple une voix forte qui disait aux sept anges: « Allez, versez sur la terre les sept coupes de la colère de Dieu. »
And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven messengers, “Go away, and pour out the bowls of the wrath of God into the earth”;
2 La première alla répandre sa coupe sur la terre, et elle devint un ulcère douloureux pour les gens qui avaient la marque de la bête et qui adoraient son image.
and the first went away, and poured out his bowl into the earth, and there came a sore—bad and grievous—to men, those having the mark of the beast, and those worshiping his image.
3 Le second ange versa sa coupe dans la mer, qui devint du sang comme celui d'un mort. Tous les êtres vivants de la mer moururent.
And the second messenger poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became blood as of [one] dead, and every living soul in the sea died.
4 Le troisième versa sa coupe dans les fleuves et les sources d'eau, et ils devinrent du sang.
And the third messenger poured out his bowl into the rivers, and into the fountains of the waters, and there came blood,
5 J'entendis l'ange des eaux qui disait: « Tu es juste, toi qui es et qui étais, ô Saint, car tu as jugé ces choses.
and I heard the messenger of the waters, saying, “Righteous, O LORD, are You, who is, and who was, [[and who will be, ]] the Holy [One], because You judged these things,
6 Car ils ont répandu le sang des saints et des prophètes, et tu leur as donné du sang à boire. Ils méritent cela. »
because they poured out [the] blood of holy ones and prophets, and You gave to them blood to drink, for they are worthy”;
7 J'ai entendu l'autel dire: « Oui, Seigneur Dieu, le Tout-Puissant, tes jugements sont vrais et justes. »
and I heard another out of the altar, saying, “Yes, LORD God, the Almighty, true and righteous [are] Your judgments.”
8 Le quatrième versa sa coupe sur le soleil, et il lui fut donné de brûler les hommes par le feu.
And the fourth messenger poured out his bowl on the sun, and there was given to him to scorch men with fire,
9 Les gens furent brûlés par une grande chaleur, et les gens blasphémèrent le nom de Dieu qui a le pouvoir sur ces fléaux. Ils ne se sont pas repentis et ne lui ont pas rendu gloire.
and men were scorched with great heat, and they slandered the Name of God, who has authority over these plagues, and they did not convert—to give to Him glory.
10 Le cinquième versa sa coupe sur le trône de la bête, et son royaume fut obscurci. Ils se rongeaient la langue à cause de la douleur,
And the fifth messenger poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became darkened, and they were gnawing their tongues from the pain,
11 et ils blasphémaient le Dieu du ciel à cause de leurs douleurs et de leurs ulcères. Ils ne se sont toujours pas repentis de leurs œuvres.
and they slandered the God of Heaven, from their pains, and from their sores, and they did not convert from their works.
12 Le sixième versa sa coupe sur le grand fleuve, l'Euphrate. Ses eaux tarirent, afin que le chemin fût préparé pour les rois qui viendront du soleil levant.
And the sixth messenger poured out his bowl on the great river, the Euphrates, and its water was dried up, that the way of the kings who are from the rising of the sun may be made ready;
13 Je vis sortir de la bouche du dragon, de la bouche de la bête et de la bouche du faux prophète, trois esprits impurs, semblables à des grenouilles;
and I saw [come] out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs—
14 car ce sont des esprits de démons, qui font des prodiges, et qui vont vers les rois de toute la terre habitée, afin de les rassembler pour le combat du grand jour de Dieu le Tout-Puissant.
for they are spirits of demons, doing signs—which go forth to the kings of the earth, and of the whole world, to bring them together to the battle of that great day of God the Almighty.
15 « Voici, je viens comme un voleur. Heureux celui qui veille et qui garde ses vêtements, afin qu'il ne marche pas nu, et qu'on ne voie pas sa honte. »
(“Behold, I come as a thief; blessed [is] he who is watching, and keeping his garments, that he may not walk naked, and they may see his unseemliness.”)
16 Il les rassembla dans le lieu qui s'appelle en hébreu « Harmagedon ».
And they brought them together to the place that is called in Hebrew Armageddon.
17 Le septième versa sa coupe dans l'air. Et une voix forte sortit du temple du ciel, du trône, en disant: « C'est fait! ».
And the seventh messenger poured out his bowl on the air, and there came forth a great voice from the temple of Heaven, from the throne, saying, “It is done!”
18 Il y eut des éclairs, des sons, des tonnerres, et un grand tremblement de terre, tel qu'il n'y en a jamais eu depuis qu'il y a des hommes sur la terre, un tremblement de terre si grand et si puissant.
And there came voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and a great earthquake came, such as has not come since men came on the earth, so mighty an earthquake—so great!
19 La grande ville fut divisée en trois parties, et les villes des nations tombèrent. On se souvint de Babylone la grande aux yeux de Dieu, pour lui donner la coupe du vin de l'ardeur de sa colère.
And it came—the great city—into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell, and Babylon the great was remembered before God, to give to her the cup of the wine of the wrath of His anger,
20 Toutes les îles s'enfuirent, et les montagnes ne furent pas retrouvées.
and every island fled away, and mountains were not found,
21 De gros grêlons, du poids d'un talent, tombaient du ciel sur les gens. On blasphémait Dieu à cause du fléau de la grêle, car ce fléau était extrêmement violent.
and great hail (as of talent weight) comes down out of the sky on men, and men slandered God because of the plague of the hail, because its plague is very great.
