Apocalypse 11

1 On m'a donné un roseau semblable à une verge. Quelqu'un dit: « Lève-toi et mesure le temple de Dieu, l'autel et ceux qui s'y prosternent.

Then was giuen me a reede, like vnto a rod, and the Angel stoode by, saying, Rise and mete the Temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.

2 Laisse de côté le parvis extérieur du temple, et ne le mesure pas, car il a été donné aux nations. Elles fouleront aux pieds la ville sainte pendant quarante-deux mois.

But the court which is without the temple cast out, and mete it not: for it is giuen vnto the Gentiles, and the holy citie shall they treade vnder foote, two and fourtie moneths.

3 Je donnerai pouvoir à mes deux témoins, et ils prophétiseront pendant mille deux cent soixante jours, revêtus de sacs. »

But I wil giue power vnto my two witnesses, and they shall prophecie a thousande two hundreth and threescore dayes, clothed in sackcloth.

4 Ce sont les deux oliviers et les deux chandeliers, qui se tiennent devant le Seigneur de la terre.

These are two oliue trees, and two candlestickes, standing before the God of the earth.

5 Si quelqu'un veut leur faire du mal, le feu sort de leur bouche et dévore leurs ennemis. Si quelqu'un veut leur faire du mal, il doit être tué de cette façon.

And if any man wil hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouthes, and deuoureth their enemies: for if any man would hurt the, thus must he be killed.

6 Ils ont le pouvoir de fermer le ciel, afin qu'il ne pleuve pas pendant les jours de leur prophétie. Ils ont le pouvoir de changer les eaux en sang, et de frapper la terre de tous les fléaux, aussi souvent qu'ils le veulent.

These haue power to shut heauen, that it raine not in the dayes of their prophecying, and haue power ouer waters to turne them into blood, and to smite the earth with all maner plagues, as often as they will.

7 Quand ils auront achevé leur témoignage, la bête qui monte de l'abîme leur fera la guerre, les vaincra et les tuera. (Abyssos g12)

And when they haue finished their testimonie, the beast that commeth out of the bottomlesse pit, shall make warre against them, and shall ouercome them, and kill them. (Abyssos g12)

8 Leurs cadavres seront dans les rues de la grande ville, appelée spirituellement Sodome et Égypte, où leur Seigneur a été crucifié.

And their corpses shall lie in the streetes of the great citie, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where our Lord also was crucified.

9 Les gens d'entre les peuples, les tribus, les langues et les nations regarderont leurs cadavres pendant trois jours et demi, et ne permettront pas que leurs cadavres soient mis dans un tombeau.

And they of the people and kinreds, and tongues, and Gentiles shall see their corpses three dayes and an halfe, and shall not suffer their carkeises to be put in graues.

10 Les habitants de la terre se réjouiront à leur sujet, et ils seront dans l'allégresse. Ils se feront des dons les uns aux autres, parce que ces deux prophètes ont tourmenté les habitants de la terre.

And they that dwell vpon the earth, shall reioyce ouer them and be glad, and shall sende giftes one to an other: for these two Prophets vexed them that dwelt on the earth.

11 Après les trois jours et demi, un souffle de vie venant de Dieu entra en eux, et ils se tinrent sur leurs pieds. Une grande crainte s'empara de ceux qui les voyaient.

But after three dayes and an halfe, the spirit of life comming from God, shall enter into them, and they shall stande vp vpon their feete: and great feare shall come vpon them which sawe them.

12 J'entendis du ciel une voix forte qui leur disait: « Montez ici. » Ils montèrent au ciel dans une nuée, et leurs ennemis les virent.

And they shall heare a great voyce from heauen, saying vnto them, Come vp hither. And they shall ascend vp to heauen in a cloude, and their enemies shall see them.

13 En ce jour-là, il y eut un grand tremblement de terre, et un dixième de la ville s'écroula. Sept mille personnes furent tuées dans le tremblement de terre, les autres furent terrifiées et rendirent gloire au Dieu du ciel.

And the same houre shall there bee a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the citie shall fall, and in the earthquake shalbe slaine in nomber seuen thousande: and the remnant were sore feared, and gaue glorie to the God of heauen.

14 Le second malheur est passé. Voici que le troisième malheur vient rapidement.

The second woe is past, and beholde, the third woe will come anon.

15 Le septième ange sonna de la trompette, et de grandes voix dans le ciel suivirent, disant: « Le royaume du monde est devenu le royaume de notre Seigneur et de son Christ. Il régnera aux siècles des siècles! » (aiōn g165)

And the seuenth Angell blewe the trumpet, and there were great voyces in heauen, saying, The kingdomes of this worlde are our Lordes, and his Christes, and he shall reigne for euermore. (aiōn g165)

16 Les vingt-quatre anciens, qui sont assis sur leurs trônes devant le trône de Dieu, tombèrent sur leur face et se prosternèrent devant Dieu,

Then the foure and twentie Elders, which sate before God on their seates, fell vpon their faces, and worshipped God,

17 en disant: « Nous te rendons grâces, Seigneur Dieu, le Tout-Puissant, celui qui est et qui était, car tu as pris ta grande puissance et tu as régné.

Saying, We giue thee thankes, Lord God almightie, Which art, and Which wast, and Which art to come: for thou hast receiued thy great might, and hast obteined thy kingdome.

18 Les nations se sont mises en colère, et ta colère est venue, ainsi que le temps de juger les morts, de donner à tes serviteurs, les prophètes, leur récompense, ainsi qu'aux saints et à ceux qui craignent ton nom, aux petits et aux grands, et de détruire ceux qui détruisent la terre. »

And the Gentiles were angrie, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they shoulde be iudged, and that thou shouldest giue reward vnto thy seruants the Prophets, and to the Saintes, and to them that feare thy Name, to small and great, and shouldest destroy them, which destroy the earth.

19 Le temple de Dieu qui est dans les cieux fut ouvert, et l'arche de l'alliance du Seigneur apparut dans son temple. Des éclairs, des bruits, des tonnerres, un tremblement de terre et une grande grêle suivirent.

Then the Temple of God was opened in heauen, and there was seene in his Temple the Arke of his couenant: and there were lightnings, and voyces, and thundrings, and earthquake, and much haile.
