Psaumes 98

1 Un psaume. Chantez à Yahvé un chant nouveau, car il a fait des choses merveilleuses! Sa main droite et son bras saint ont opéré le salut pour lui.

A Psalm. O sing to the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.

2 Yahvé a fait connaître son salut. Il a montré ouvertement sa justice aux yeux des nations.

The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shown in the sight of the heathen.

3 Il s'est souvenu de sa bonté et de sa fidélité envers la maison d'Israël. Toutes les extrémités de la terre ont vu le salut de notre Dieu.

He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

4 Poussez des cris de joie vers Yahvé, toute la terre! Éclatez et chantez de joie, oui, chantez des louanges!

Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

5 Chantez des louanges à Yahvé avec la harpe, avec la harpe et la voix de la mélodie.

Sing to the LORD with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.

6 Avec les trompettes et le son de la corne de bélier, faites un bruit joyeux devant le roi, Yahvé.

With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King.

7 Que la mer rugisse de toute sa richesse! le monde, et ceux qui l'habitent.

Let the sea roar, and all it containeth; the world, and they that dwell in it.

8 Que les fleuves battent des mains! Que les montagnes chantent de joie ensemble.

Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together

9 Qu'ils chantent devant Yahvé, car il vient pour juger la terre. Il jugera le monde avec justice, et les peuples avec équité.

Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.
