Psaumes 96
1 Chantez à Yahvé un chant nouveau! Chantez à Yahvé, toute la terre.
Oh sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the lands.
2 Chantez à Yahvé! Bénissez son nom! Proclamez son salut au jour le jour!
Sing unto the Lord, bless his name: announce from day to day his salvation.
3 Déclarez sa gloire parmi les nations, ses merveilles parmi tous les peuples.
Relate among the nations his honor, among all the people his wonders.
4 Car Yahvé est grand et très digne de louange! Il doit être craint par-dessus tous les dieux.
For the Lord is great, and greatly praised: he is to be feared above all gods.
5 Car tous les dieux des peuples sont des idoles, mais Yahvé a fait les cieux.
For all the gods of the nations are idols; but the Lord hath made the heavens.
6 L'honneur et la majesté sont devant lui. La force et la beauté sont dans son sanctuaire.
Glory and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
7 Rendez hommage à Yahvé, familles de nations, attribuer à Yahvé la gloire et la force.
Ascribe unto the Lord, O ye families of the people, ascribe unto the Lord honor and strength.
8 Rendez à Yahvé la gloire due à son nom. Apportez une offrande, et venez dans ses parvis.
Ascribe unto the Lord the honor [due unto] his name: bear hither a present, and come unto his courts.
9 Adorez Yahvé avec des vêtements sacrés. Tremblez devant lui, toute la terre.
Bow down unto the Lord in the beauty of holiness: tremble before him, all ye lands.
10 Dites parmi les nations: « Yahvé règne ». Le monde est également établi. Il ne peut pas être déplacé. Il jugera les peuples avec équité.
Say among the nations, “The Lord reigneth;” [therefore] also the world is ever firmly established that it shall hot be moved: he will judge the people in equity.
11 Que les cieux se réjouissent, et que la terre se réjouisse. Que la mer rugisse, et sa plénitude!
Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad: let the sea roar, with all that filleth it.
12 Que le champ et tout ce qu'il contient exulte! Alors tous les arbres de la forêt chanteront de joie.
Let the field exult, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy,
13 devant Yahvé, car il vient, car il vient pour juger la terre. Il jugera le monde avec justice, les peuples avec sa vérité.
Before the Lord; for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he will judge the world with righteousness, and people in his truth.
