1 Venez, chantons à Yahvé. Crions à haute voix vers le rocher de notre salut!
Come, let us make a joyful noise to Yahweh, Let us shout in triumph, to the rock of our salvation!
2 Approchons-nous de sa présence avec des actions de grâce. Louons-le en chansons!
O let us come before his face with thanksgiving, With the sounds of strings, let us shout aloud to him.
3 Car Yahvé est un grand Dieu, un grand Roi au-dessus de tous les dieux.
For, a great GOD, is Yahweh, And a great king, above all gods.
4 Les profondeurs de la terre sont dans sa main. Les hauteurs des montagnes sont aussi les siennes.
In whose hand, are the hidden recesses of the earth, And, the peaks of the mountains, are his;
5 La mer est à lui, il l'a faite. Ses mains ont formé la terre ferme.
Whose, is the sea, for, he, made it, And, the dry land, his hands, did form.
6 Oh, venez, adorons et prosternons-nous. Agenouillons-nous devant Yahvé, notre créateur,
Enter! let us bow down, and bend low, Let us kneel, before Yahweh our maker;
7 car il est notre Dieu. Nous sommes le peuple de son pâturage, et les moutons qu'il garde. Aujourd'hui, oh, que vous entendiez sa voix!
For, he, is our God, And, we, are the people of his pasture, and the flock of his hand? To-day, if, to his voice, ye will hearken,
8 N'endurcissez pas votre cœur, comme à Meriba, comme le jour de Massah dans le désert,
Do not harden your heart as at Meribah, As on the day of Massah, in the desert;
9 quand vos pères me tentaient, m'a testé, et a vu mon travail.
When your fathers, tested me, They proved me, yea they also saw what I could do.
10 Pendant quarante longues années, j'ai été affligé par cette génération, et a dit: « C'est un peuple qui se trompe dans son cœur. Ils n'ont pas connu mes voies. »
Forty years, loathed I that generation, So I said—A people going astray in heart, they are, Even they, have not known my ways!
11 C'est pourquoi j'ai juré dans ma colère, « Ils n'entreront pas dans mon repos. »
And I sware in mine anger, —Verily they shall not enter into my rest.
