Psaumes 90
1 Une prière de Moïse, l'homme de Dieu. Seigneur, tu es notre demeure depuis toutes les générations.
A prayer of Moses, the man of God. Lord, thou hast bene our habitation from generation to generation.
2 Avant que les montagnes ne soient nées, avant que tu aies formé la terre et le monde, même d'éternité en éternité, tu es Dieu.
Before the mountaines were made, and before thou hadst formed the earth, and the world, euen from euerlasting to euerlasting thou art our God.
3 Vous tournez l'homme vers la destruction, en disant, « Revenez, enfants des hommes. »
Thou turnest man to destruction: againe thou sayest, Returne, ye sonnes of Adam.
4 Car mille ans sont à tes yeux comme hier, quand il est passé, comme une veille dans la nuit.
For a thousande yeeres in thy sight are as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
5 Vous les balayez pendant qu'ils dorment. Au matin, ils poussent comme de l'herbe nouvelle.
Thou hast ouerflowed them: they are as a sleepe: in the morning he groweth like the grasse:
6 Le matin, il germe et pousse. Le soir, il est flétri et sec.
In the morning it florisheth and groweth, but in the euening it is cut downe and withereth.
7 Car nous sommes consumés par ta colère. Nous sommes troublés par ta colère.
For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.
8 Tu as mis nos iniquités devant toi, nos péchés secrets dans la lumière de ta présence.
Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, and our secret sinnes in the light of thy countenance.
9 Car tous nos jours se sont écoulés dans ta colère. Nous mettons fin à nos années en soupirant.
For all our dayes are past in thine anger: we haue spent our yeeres as a thought.
10 Les jours de nos années sont de soixante-dix, ou même en raison de la force de quatre-vingts ans; mais leur fierté n'est que travail et peine, car il passe vite, et nous nous envolons.
The time of our life is threescore yeeres and ten, and if they be of strength, fourescore yeeres: yet their strength is but labour and sorowe: for it is cut off quickly, and we flee away.
11 Qui connaît la puissance de ta colère, ta colère selon la crainte qui t'est due?
Who knoweth the power of thy wrath? for according to thy feare is thine anger.
12 Apprenez-nous donc à compter nos jours, afin que nous puissions acquérir un cœur de sagesse.
Teach vs so to nomber our dayes, that we may apply our heartes vnto wisdome.
13 Calme-toi, Yahvé! Combien de temps? Ayez de la compassion pour vos serviteurs!
Returne (O Lord, howe long?) and be pacified toward thy seruants.
14 Satisfais-nous dès le matin par ta bonté, afin que nous puissions nous réjouir et être heureux tous les jours.
Fill vs with thy mercie in the morning: so shall we reioyce and be glad all our dayes.
15 Rends-nous heureux pendant autant de jours que tu nous as affligés, pendant autant d'années que nous avons vu le mal.
Comfort vs according to the dayes that thou hast afflicted vs, and according to the yeeres that we haue seene euill.
16 Que ton travail apparaisse à tes serviteurs, ta gloire à leurs enfants.
Let thy worke bee seene towarde thy seruants, and thy glory vpon their children.
17 Que la faveur du Seigneur notre Dieu soit sur nous. Établissez pour nous le travail de nos mains. Oui, établir le travail de nos mains.
And let the beautie of the Lord our God be vpon vs, and direct thou the worke of our hands vpon vs, euen direct the worke of our handes.
