Psaumes 87

1 Un psaume par les fils de Korah; un chant. Son fondement est dans les montagnes saintes.

A Psalme or song committed to the sonnes of Korah. God layde his foundations among the holy mountaines.

2 Yahvé aime les portes de Sion plus que toutes les habitations de Jacob.

The Lord loueth the gates of Zion aboue all the habitations of Iaakob.

3 On dit de toi des choses glorieuses, cité de Dieu. (Selah)

Glorious things are spoken of thee, O citie of God. (Selah)

4 J'inscrirai Rahab et Babylone parmi ceux qui me reconnaissent. Voici la Philistie, Tyr, et aussi l'Éthiopie: « Celui-ci est né là-bas. »

I will make mention of Rahab and Babel among them that knowe me: beholde Palestina and Tyrus with Ethiopia, There is he borne.

5 Oui, on dira de Sion: « Untel et untel sont nés en elle ». le Très-Haut lui-même l'établira.

And of Zion it shall be sayde, Many are borne in her: and he, euen the most High shall stablish her.

6 L'Éternel fera le compte, quand il écrira les peuples, « Celui-ci est né là. (Selah)

The Lord shall count, when hee writeth the people, He was borne there. (Selah)

7 Ceux qui chantent comme ceux qui dansent disent, « Tous mes ressorts sont en toi. »

Aswell the singers as the players on instruments shall prayse thee: all my springs are in thee.
