Psaumes 81
1 Pour le chef musicien. Sur un instrument de Gath. Par Asaph. Chantez à voix haute à Dieu, notre force! Poussez un cri de joie vers le Dieu de Jacob!
Unto the end, for the winepresses, a psalm for Asaph himself. Rejoice to God our helper: sing aloud to the God of Jacob.
2 Élevez une chanson, et apportez ici le tambourin, la lyre agréable avec la harpe.
Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel: the pleasant psaltery with the harp.
3 Sonnez la trompette à la nouvelle lune, à la pleine lune, le jour de notre fête.
Blow up the trumpet on the new moon, on the noted day of your solemnity.
4 Car c'est une loi pour Israël, une ordonnance du Dieu de Jacob.
For it is a commandment in Israel, and a judgment to the God of Jacob.
5 Il l'a établi en Joseph comme une alliance, quand il a traversé le pays d'Égypte, J'ai entendu une langue que je ne connaissais pas.
He ordained it for a testimony in Joseph, when he came out of the land of Egypt: he heard a tongue which he knew not.
6 « J'ai enlevé son épaule du fardeau. Ses mains ont été libérées du panier.
He removed his back from the burdens: his hands had served in baskets.
7 Tu as appelé dans la détresse, et je t'ai délivré. Je t'ai répondu dans le lieu secret du tonnerre. Je t'ai testé aux eaux de Meribah. (Sélah)
Thou calledst upon me in affliction, and I delivered thee: I heard thee in the secret place of tempest: I proved thee at the waters of contradiction.
8 « Écoute, mon peuple, et je te rendrai témoignage, Israël, si tu m'écoutais!
Hear, O my people, and I will testify to thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken to me,
9 Il n'y aura pas de dieu étranger chez vous, et vous n'adorerez aucun dieu étranger.
There shall be no new god in thee: neither shalt thou adore a strange god.
10 Je suis Yahvé, votre Dieu, qui vous a fait sortir du pays d'Égypte. Ouvrez grand votre bouche, et je la remplirai.
For I am the Lord thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.
11 Mais mon peuple n'a pas écouté ma voix. Israël ne voulait pas de moi.
But my people heard not my voice: and Israel hearkened not to me.
12 Je les ai donc laissés aller selon l'obstination de leur cœur, pour qu'ils suivent leurs propres conseils.
So I let them go according to the desires of their heart: they shall walk in their own inventions.
13 Oh, que mon peuple m'écoute! qu'Israël marche dans mes voies!
If my people had heard me: if Israel had walked in my ways:
14 J'allais bientôt soumettre leurs ennemis, et je tournerai ma main contre leurs adversaires.
I should soon have humbled their enemies, and laid my hand on them that troubled them.
15 Les ennemis de Yahvé s'effaceront devant lui, et leur punition durerait éternellement.
The enemies of the Lord have lied to him: and their time shall be for ever.
16 Mais il les aurait aussi nourris avec le meilleur du blé. Je te rassasierai avec le miel du rocher. »
And he fed them with the fat of wheat, and filled them with honey out of the rock.
