Psaumes 70

1 Pour le musicien en chef. Par David. Un rappel. Dépêche-toi, Dieu, de me délivrer. Viens vite m'aider, Yahvé.

“For the leader of the music. A psalm of David, for remembrance.” Make haste, O God! to deliver me, O LORD! come speedily to mine aid!

2 Qu'ils soient déçus et confondus, ceux qui cherchent mon âme. Que ceux qui désirent ma ruine soient renvoyés en disgrâce.

May they all be confounded, and covered with shame, Who seek to take my life! May they be driven back with disgrace Who desire to do me injury!

3 Qu'ils soient détournés à cause de leur honte qui disent, « Aha! Aha! »

May they be turned back with shame Who cry out to me, “Aha! aha!”

4 Que tous ceux qui te cherchent se réjouissent et se réjouissent en toi. Que ceux qui aiment ton salut disent continuellement, « Que Dieu soit exalté! »

But let all who seek thee be glad and rejoice in thee! Let them that love thy protection ever say, “May God be praised!”

5 Mais je suis pauvre et indigent. Viens vite à moi, Dieu. Tu es mon aide et mon libérateur. Yahvé, ne tarde pas.

But I am poor and needy; O God! hasten to mine aid! Thou art my help and my deliverer, O LORD! make no delay!
