Psaumes 7
1 Méditation de David, qu'il chanta à Yahvé, sur les paroles de Cush, le Benjamite. Yahvé, mon Dieu, je me réfugie en toi. Sauve-moi de tous ceux qui me poursuivent, et délivre-moi,
Shiggaion of David, which he sang unto the LORD, concerning Cush a Benjamite. O LORD my God, in Thee have I taken refuge; save me from all them that pursue me, and deliver me;
2 de peur qu'ils ne déchirent mon âme comme un lion, le déchirant en morceaux, alors qu'il n'y a personne pour le délivrer.
Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.
3 Yahvé, mon Dieu, si j'ai fait cela, s'il y a de l'iniquité dans mes mains,
O LORD my God, if I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands;
4 si j'ai récompensé le mal à celui qui était en paix avec moi (oui, j'ai délivré celui qui, sans raison, était mon adversaire),
If I have requited him that did evil unto me, or spoiled mine adversary unto emptiness;
5 que l'ennemi poursuive mon âme et l'atteigne; oui, qu'il foule ma vie jusqu'à la terre, et déposer ma gloire dans la poussière. (Selah)
Let the enemy pursue my soul, and overtake it, and tread my life down to the earth; yea, let him lay my glory in the dust. (Selah)
6 Lève-toi, Yahvé, dans ta colère. Élève-toi contre la rage de mes adversaires. Réveillez-vous pour moi. Vous avez ordonné le jugement.
Arise, O LORD, in Thine anger, lift up Thyself in indignation against mine adversaries; yea, awake for me at the judgment which Thou hast commanded.
7 Que la congrégation des peuples t'entoure. Dominez-les d'en haut.
And let the congregation of the peoples compass Thee about, and over them return Thou on high.
8 Yahvé administre le jugement aux peuples. Juge-moi, Yahvé, selon ma justice, et à l'intégrité qui est en moi.
O LORD, who ministerest judgment to the peoples, judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.
9 Oh, que la méchanceté des méchants prenne fin, mais établit les justes; leur esprit et leur cœur sont sondés par le Dieu juste.
Oh that a full measure of evil might come upon the wicked, and that Thou wouldest establish the righteous; for the righteous God trieth the heart and reins.
10 Mon bouclier est en Dieu, qui sauve les cœurs droits.
My shield is with God, who saveth the upright in heart.
11 Dieu est un juge juste, oui, un Dieu qui s'indigne chaque jour.
God is a righteous judge, yea, a God that hath indignation every day:
12 Si un homme ne se repent pas, il aiguisera son épée; il a bandé et tendu son arc.
If a man turn not, He will whet His sword, He hath bent His bow, and made it ready;
13 Il s'est aussi préparé les instruments de la mort. Il prépare ses flèches enflammées.
He hath also prepared for him the weapons of death, yea, His arrows which He made sharp.
14 Voici, il est en proie à l'iniquité. Oui, il a conçu des méfaits, et fait ressortir le mensonge.
Behold, he travaileth with iniquity; yea, he conceiveth mischief, and bringeth forth falsehood.
15 Il a creusé un trou, et est tombé dans la fosse qu'il a creusée.
He hath digged a pit, and hollowed it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.
16 Le trouble qu'il provoque retombe sur sa tête. Sa violence s'abattra sur la couronne de sa propre tête.
His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violence shall come down upon his own pate.
17 Je rendrai grâce à Yahvé selon sa justice, et chanteront des louanges au nom de Yahvé le Très-Haut.
I will give thanks unto the LORD according to His righteousness; and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.
