Psaumes 69
1 Pour le chef musicien. Sur l'air de « Lilies ». Par David. Sauve-moi, Dieu, car les eaux sont arrivées jusqu'à mon cou!
For the end, [a Psalm] of David, for alternate [strains]. Save me, O God; for the waters have come in to my soul.
2 Je m'enfonce dans un bourbier profond, où il n'y a pas de point d'appui. Je suis entré dans des eaux profondes, où les flots me submergent.
I am stuck fast in deep mire, and there is no standing: I am come in to the depths of the sea, and a storm has overwhelmed me.
3 Je suis fatigué de mes pleurs. Ma gorge est sèche. Mes yeux ne cherchent pas mon Dieu.
I am weary [of] crying, my throat has become hoarse; mine eyes have failed by my waiting on my God.
4 Ceux qui me haïssent sans raison sont plus nombreux que les cheveux de ma tête. Ceux qui veulent me couper, étant mes ennemis à tort, sont puissants. Je dois restaurer ce que je n'ai pas enlevé.
They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head: my enemies that persecute me unrighteously are strengthened: then I restored that which I took not away.
5 Dieu, tu connais ma folie. Mes péchés ne te sont pas cachés.
O God, you know my foolishness; and my transgressions are not hidden from you.
6 Que ceux qui t'attendent ne soient pas déshonorés par moi, Seigneur Yahvé des Armées. Ne permets pas que ceux qui te cherchent soient déshonorés par moi, Dieu d'Israël.
Let not them that wait on you, O Lord of hosts, be ashamed on my account: let not them that seek you, be ashamed on my account, O God of Israel.
7 Parce qu'à cause de toi, j'ai porté l'opprobre. La honte a recouvert mon visage.
For I have suffered reproach for your sake; shame has covered my face.
8 Je suis devenu un étranger pour mes frères, un étranger pour les enfants de ma mère.
I became strange to my brethren, and a stranger to my mother's children.
9 Car le zèle de ta maison me consume. Les reproches de ceux qui te font des reproches sont tombés sur moi.
For the zeal of your house has eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached you are fallen upon me.
10 Quand je pleurais et que je je jeûnais, qui était à mon reproche.
And I bowed down my soul with fasting, and that was made my reproach.
11 Quand j'ai fait du sac mon vêtement, Je suis devenu un mot d'ordre pour eux.
And I put on sackcloth for my covering; and I became a proverb to them.
12 Ceux qui sont assis à la porte parlent de moi. Je suis la chanson des ivrognes.
They that sit in the gate talked against me, and they that drank wine sang against me.
13 Mais moi, je t'adresse ma prière, Yahvé, au moment opportun. Dieu, dans l'abondance de ta bonté, réponds-moi dans la vérité de ton salut.
But I [will cry] to you, O Lord, in my prayer; O God, it is a propitious time: in the multitude of your mercy hear me, in the truth of your salvation.
14 Délivre-moi du bourbier, ne me laisse pas m'enfoncer. Laisse-moi être délivré de ceux qui me haïssent, et sortir des eaux profondes.
Save me from the mire, that I stick not [in it]: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and from the deep waters.
15 Ne laisse pas les eaux de l'inondation me submerger, ni laisser les profondeurs m'engloutir. Ne laisse pas la fosse fermer sa bouche sur moi.
Let not the waterflood drown me, nor let the deep swallow me up; neither let the well shut its mouth upon me.
16 Réponds-moi, Yahvé, car ta bonté est bonne. Selon la multitude de vos tendres miséricordes, tournez-vous vers moi.
Hear me, O Lord; for your mercy is good: according to the multitude of your compassions look upon me.
17 Ne cache pas ton visage à ton serviteur, car je suis en détresse. Réponds-moi vite!
And turn not away your face from your servant; for I am afflicted: hear me speedily.
18 Approche-toi de mon âme et rachète-la. Rançonnez-moi à cause de mes ennemis.
Draw near to my soul and redeem it: deliver me because of mine enemies.
19 Tu connais mon opprobre, ma honte et mon déshonneur. Mes adversaires sont tous devant vous.
For you know my reproach, and my shame, and my confusion; all that afflict me are before you.
20 L'opprobre m'a brisé le cœur, et je suis accablé. J'ai cherché quelqu'un pour avoir pitié, mais il n'y en avait pas; pour des doudous, mais je n'en ai trouvé aucun.
My soul has waited for reproach and misery; and I waited for one to grieve with me, but there was none; and for one to comfort me, but I found none.
21 Ils m'ont aussi donné du poison pour ma nourriture. Dans ma soif, ils m'ont donné du vinaigre à boire.
They gave [me] also gall for my food, and made me drink vinegar for my thirst.
22 Que leur table devant eux devienne un piège. Qu'il devienne un châtiment et un piège.
Let their table before them be for a snare, and for a recompense, and for a stumbling block.
23 Que leurs yeux soient obscurcis, afin qu'ils ne voient pas. Que leur dos soit continuellement courbé.
Let their eyes be darkened that they should not see; and bow down their back continually.
24 Répands sur eux ton indignation. Laisse l'ardeur de ta colère les envahir.
Pour out your wrath upon them, and let the fury of your anger take hold on them.
25 Que leur demeure soit désolée. Que personne n'habite dans leurs tentes.
Let their habitation be made desolate; and let there be no inhabitant in their tents:
26 Car ils persécutent celui que vous avez blessé. Ils racontent la douleur de ceux que vous avez blessés.
Because they persecuted him whom you have struck; and they have added to the grief of my wounds.
27 Accusez-les de crime sur crime. Ne les laissez pas entrer dans votre droiture.
Add iniquity to their iniquity; and let them not come into your righteousness.
28 Qu'ils soient effacés du livre de vie, et ne pas être écrit avec les justes.
Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and let them not be written with the righteous.
29 Mais je suis dans la douleur et la détresse. Que ton salut, Dieu, me protège.
I am poor and sorrowful; but the salvation of your countenance has helped me.
30 Je louerai le nom de Dieu par un chant, et le magnifieront dans l'action de grâce.
I will praise the name of my God with a song, I will magnify him with praise;
31 Il plaira à Yahvé mieux qu'un bœuf, ou un taureau qui a des cornes et des sabots.
and [this] shall please God more than a young calf having horns and hoofs.
32 Les humbles l'ont vu, et ils se sont réjouis. Vous qui cherchez Dieu, laissez vivre votre cœur.
Let the poor see and rejoice; seek the Lord diligently, and you shall live.
33 Car Yahvé écoute le pauvre, et ne méprise pas son peuple captif.
For the Lord hears the poor, and does not set at nothing his fettered ones.
34 Que le ciel et la terre le louent; les mers, et tout ce qui s'y déplace!
Let the heavens and the earth raise him, the sea, and all things moving in them.
35 Car Dieu sauvera Sion, et il bâtira les villes de Juda. Ils s'y installeront et en seront les propriétaires.
For God will save Sion, and the cities of Judea shall be built; and [men] shall dwell there, and inherit it.
36 Les enfants de ses serviteurs en hériteront aussi. Ceux qui aiment son nom l'habiteront.
And the seed of his servants shall possess it, and they that love his name shall dwell therein.
