Psaumes 68
1 Pour le chef musicien. Un psaume de David. Une chanson. Que Dieu se lève! Que ses ennemis soient dispersés! Que ceux qui le haïssent fuient aussi devant lui.
For the Chief Musician; A Psalm of David, a Song. Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered; Let them also that hate him flee before him.
2 Comme la fumée est chassée, donc les chasser. Comme la cire fond devant le feu, Ainsi, que les méchants périssent devant la présence de Dieu.
As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: As wax melteth before the fire, So let the wicked perish at the presence of God.
3 Mais que les justes se réjouissent. Qu'ils se réjouissent devant Dieu. Oui, qu'ils se réjouissent avec allégresse.
But let the righteous be glad; let them exult before God: Yea, let them rejoice with gladness.
4 Chantez à Dieu! Chantez les louanges de son nom! Exaltez celui qui monte sur les nuages: à Yah, son nom! Réjouissez-vous devant lui!
Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: Cast up a highway for him that rideth through the deserts; His name is Jehovah; and exult ye before him.
5 Un père pour les orphelins, un défenseur des veuves, est Dieu dans sa demeure sainte.
A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, Is God in his holy habitation.
6 Dieu place les solitaires dans les familles. Il fait sortir les prisonniers en chantant, mais les rebelles habitent une terre brûlée par le soleil.
God setteth the solitary in families: He bringeth out the prisoners into prosperity; But the rebellious dwell in a parched land.
7 Dieu, quand tu es sorti devant ton peuple, quand tu marchais dans le désert... (Selah)
O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, When thou didst march through the wilderness; (Selah)
8 La terre a tremblé. Le ciel a également déversé de la pluie en présence du Dieu du Sinaï... en présence de Dieu, le Dieu d'Israël.
The earth trembled, The heavens also dropped [rain] at the presence of God: Yon Sinai [trembled] at the presence of God, the God of Israel.
9 Toi, Dieu, tu as envoyé une pluie abondante. Tu as confirmé ton héritage quand il était fatigué.
Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain, Thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary.
10 Ta congrégation y a vécu. Toi, Dieu, tu as préparé ta bonté pour les pauvres.
Thy congregation dwelt therein: Thou, O God, didst prepare of thy goodness for the poor.
11 Le Seigneur annonça la parole. Ceux qui le proclament sont une grande entreprise.
The Lord giveth the word: The women that publish the tidings are a great host.
12 « Les rois des armées fuient! Ils fuient! » Celle qui attend à la maison partage le butin,
Kings of armies flee, they flee; And she that tarrieth at home divideth the spoil.
13 pendant que vous dormez parmi les feux de camp, les ailes d'une colombe gainées d'argent, ses plumes avec de l'or brillant.
When ye lie among the sheepfolds, [It is as] the wings of a dove covered with silver, And her pinions with yellow gold.
14 Quand le Tout-Puissant dispersa en elle les rois, il a neigé sur Zalmon.
When the Almighty scattered kings therein, [It was as when] it snoweth in Zalmon.
15 Les montagnes de Bashan sont des montagnes majestueuses. Les montagnes de Bashan sont accidentées.
A mountain of God is the mountain of Bashan; A high mountain is the mountain of Bashan.
16 Pourquoi regardez-vous avec envie, montagnes escarpées? à la montagne où Dieu choisit de régner? Oui, Yahvé y habitera pour toujours.
Why look ye askance, ye high mountains, At the mountain which God hath desired for his abode? Yea, Jehovah will dwell [in it] for ever.
17 Les chars de Dieu sont des dizaines de milliers et des milliers de milliers. Le Seigneur est au milieu d'eux, depuis le Sinaï, dans le sanctuaire.
The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands upon thousands: The Lord is among them, [as in] Sinai, in the sanctuary.
18 Tu es monté sur les hauteurs. Vous avez emmené des captifs. Vous avez reçu des dons parmi les gens, oui, parmi les rebelles aussi, afin que Yah Dieu y habite.
Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led away captives; Thou hast received gifts among men, Yea, [among] the rebellious also, that Jehovah God might dwell [with them].
19 Béni soit le Seigneur, qui porte chaque jour nos fardeaux, le Dieu qui est notre salut. (Selah)
Blessed be the Lord, who daily beareth our burden, Even the God who is our salvation. (Selah)
20 Dieu est pour nous un Dieu de délivrance. C'est à Yahvé, le Seigneur, qu'il appartient d'échapper à la mort.
God is unto us a God of deliverances; And unto Jehovah the Lord belongeth escape from death.
21 Mais Dieu frappera la tête de ses ennemis, le cuir chevelu poilu de celui qui persiste dans sa culpabilité.
But God will smite through the head of his enemies, The hairy scalp of such a one as goeth on still in his guiltiness.
22 L'Éternel dit: « Je te ferai revenir de Basan, Je te ramènerai des profondeurs de la mer,
The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring [them] again from the depths of the sea;
23 pour les écraser, en trempant ton pied dans le sang, pour que les langues de tes chiens aient leur part de tes ennemis. »
That thou mayest crush [them], [dipping] thy foot in blood, That the tongue of thy dogs may have its portion from [thine] enemies.
24 Ils ont vu tes processions, Dieu, même les processions de mon Dieu, mon Roi, dans le sanctuaire.
They have seen thy goings, O God, Even the goings of my God, my King, into the sanctuary.
25 Les chanteurs marchaient devant, les ménestrels suivaient, parmi les dames jouant avec des tambourins,
The singers went before, the minstrels followed after, In the midst of the damsels playing with timbrels.
26 « Bénissez Dieu dans les congrégations, le Seigneur dans l'assemblée d'Israël! »
Bless ye God in the congregations, Even the Lord, [ye that are] of the fountain of Israel.
27 Il y a le petit Benjamin, leur chef, les princes de Juda, leur conseil, les princes de Zabulon, et les princes de Nephtali.
There is little Benjamin their ruler, The princes of Judah [and] their council, The princes of Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali.
28 Ton Dieu a ordonné ta force. Fortifie, Dieu, ce que tu as fait pour nous.
Thy God hath commanded thy strength: Strengthen, O God, that which thou hast wrought for us.
29 A cause de ton temple à Jérusalem, les rois vous apporteront des présents.
Because of thy temple at Jerusalem Kings shall bring presents unto thee.
30 Réprimandez l'animal sauvage des roseaux, la multitude des taureaux avec les veaux des peuples. Piétinez les barres d'argent. Dispersez les nations qui prennent plaisir à la guerre.
Rebuke the wild beast of the reeds, The multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the peoples, Trampling under foot the pieces of silver: He hath scattered the peoples that delight in war.
31 Des princes sortiront d'Égypte. L'Éthiopie s'empressera de tendre ses mains vers Dieu.
Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall haste to stretch out her hands unto God.
32 Chantez à Dieu, royaumes de la terre! Chantez les louanges du Seigneur- (Selah)
Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth; Oh sing praises unto the Lord; (Selah)
33 à celui qui monte sur le ciel des cieux, qui sont vieux; voici qu'il fait entendre sa voix, une voix puissante.
To him that rideth upon the heaven of heavens, which are of old; Lo, he uttereth his voice, a mighty voice.
34 Attribuez la force à Dieu! Son excellence est sur Israël, sa force est dans les cieux.
Ascribe ye strength unto God: His excellency is over Israel, And his strength is in the skies.
35 Tu es grandiose, Dieu, dans tes sanctuaires. Le Dieu d'Israël donne force et puissance à son peuple. Loué soit Dieu!
O God, [thou art] terrible out of thy holy places: The God of Israel, he giveth strength and power unto [his] people. Blessed be God.
