Psaumes 61

1 Pour le chef musicien. Pour un instrument à cordes. Par David. Entends mon cri, Dieu. Écoutez ma prière.

To him that excelleth on Neginoth. A Psalme of David. Heare my cry, O God: giue eare vnto my prayer.

2 De l'extrémité de la terre, je t'appellerai quand mon cœur sera accablé. Conduis-moi au rocher qui est plus haut que moi.

From the endes of the earth will I crye vnto thee: when mine heart is opprest, bring me vpon the rocke that is higher then I.

3 Car tu as été pour moi un refuge, une tour forte de l'ennemi.

For thou hast bene mine hope, and a strong tower against the enemie.

4 J'habiterai dans ta tente pour toujours. Je me réfugierai sous l'abri de tes ailes. (Selah)

I will dwell in thy Tabernacle for euer, and my trust shall be vnder the couering of thy wings. (Selah)

5 Car toi, Dieu, tu as entendu mes vœux. Tu m'as donné l'héritage de ceux qui craignent ton nom.

For thou, O God, hast heard my desires: thou hast giuen an heritage vnto those that feare thy Name.

6 Tu prolongeras la vie du roi. Ses années seront pour des générations.

Thou shalt giue the King a long life: his yeeres shalbe as many ages.

7 Il sera intronisé dans la présence de Dieu pour toujours. Nommez votre bonté et votre vérité, afin qu'elles le préservent.

Hee shall dwell before God for euer: prepare mercie and faithfulnes that they may preserue him.

8 Et je chanterai à jamais les louanges de ton nom, pour que je puisse accomplir mes vœux quotidiennement.

So will I alway sing prayse vnto thy Name in performing dayly my vowes.
