Psaumes 47

1 Pour le chef musicien. Un psaume par les fils de Korah. Oh, battez des mains, vous toutes les nations. Criez à Dieu avec la voix du triomphe!

To him that excelleth. A Psalme committed to the sonnes of Korah. All people clap your hands: sing loude vnto God with a ioyfull voyce.

2 Car le Très-Haut Yahvé est impressionnant. Il est un grand Roi sur toute la terre.

For the Lord is high, and terrible: a great King ouer all the earth.

3 Il soumet les nations sous nos ordres, et les peuples sous nos pieds.

He hath subdued the people vnder vs, and the nations vnder our feete.

4 Il choisit pour nous notre héritage, la gloire de Jacob qu'il aimait. (Selah)

Hee hath chosen our inheritance for vs: euen the glory of Iaakob whom he loued. (Selah)

5 Dieu s'est levé en criant, Yahvé au son de la trompette.

God is gone vp with triumph, euen the Lord, with the sound of the trumpet.

6 Chantez les louanges de Dieu! Chantez des louanges! Chantez les louanges de notre Roi! Chantez des louanges!

Sing prayses to God, sing prayses: sing prayses vnto our King, sing prayses.

7 Car Dieu est le roi de toute la terre. Chantez des louanges avec compréhension.

For God is the King of all the earth: sing prayses euery one that hath vnderstanding.

8 Dieu règne sur les nations. Dieu est assis sur son trône sacré.

God reigneth ouer the heathen: God sitteth vpon his holy throne.

9 Les princes des peuples sont rassemblés, le peuple du Dieu d'Abraham. Car les boucliers de la terre appartiennent à Dieu. Il est grandement exalté!

The princes of the people are gathered vnto the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the world belong to God: he is greatly to be exalted.
