Psaumes 36
1 Pour le chef musicien. Par David, le serviteur de Yahvé. Une révélation est dans mon cœur au sujet de la désobéissance des méchants: Il n'y a pas de crainte de Dieu devant ses yeux.
For the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David the servant of the LORD. The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, There is no fear of God before his eyes.
2 Car il se flatte à ses propres yeux, trop pour détecter et haïr son péché.
For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, that his iniquity shall not be found out and be hated.
3 Les paroles de sa bouche ne sont qu'iniquité et tromperie. Il a cessé d'être sage et de faire le bien.
The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise [and] to do good.
4 Il complote l'iniquité sur son lit. Il se place d'une manière qui n'est pas bonne. Il ne déteste pas le mal.
He deviseth iniquity upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.
5 Ta bonté, Yahvé, est dans les cieux. Votre fidélité s'étend jusqu'aux cieux.
Thy lovingkindness, O LORD, is in the heavens; thy faithfulness [reacheth] unto the skies.
6 Ta justice est comme les montagnes de Dieu. Vos jugements sont comme une grande profondeur. Yahvé, tu préserves l'homme et l'animal.
Thy righteousness is like the mountains of God; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.
7 Que ta bonté est précieuse, Dieu! Les enfants des hommes se réfugient à l'ombre de tes ailes.
How precious is thy lovingkindness, O God! and the children of men take refuge under the shadow of thy wings.
8 Ils seront abondamment satisfaits de l'abondance de ta maison. Tu les feras boire au fleuve de tes plaisirs.
They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.
9 Car chez toi est la source de la vie. Dans ta lumière, nous verrons la lumière.
For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.
10 Oh, continuez votre bonté envers ceux qui vous connaissent, ta justice à ceux qui ont le cœur droit.
O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.
11 Que le pied de l'orgueil ne vienne pas contre moi. Ne laisse pas la main des méchants me chasser.
Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked drive me away.
12 C'est làque sont tombés les ouvriers de l'iniquité. Ils sont poussés vers le bas, et ne pourront pas se relever.
There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are thrust down, and shall not be able to rise.
