Psaumes 22
1 Pour le chef musicien; réglé sur « The Dœ of the Morning ». Un psaume de David. Mon Dieu, mon Dieu, pourquoi m'as-tu abandonné? Pourquoi es-tu si loin de me secourir, et des paroles de mes gémissements?
For the Chief Musician; set to Aijeleth hash-Shahar. A Psalm of David. My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? [why art thou so] far from helping me, [and from] the words of my roaring?
2 Mon Dieu, je crie pendant le jour, mais tu ne réponds pas; dans la saison de la nuit, et je ne suis pas silencieux.
O my God, I cry in the day-time, but thou answerest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.
3 Mais toi, tu es saint, vous qui habitez les louanges d'Israël.
But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
4 Nos pères avaient confiance en toi. Ils ont fait confiance, et vous les avez délivrés.
Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.
5 Ils ont crié vers toi, et ils ont été délivrés. Ils ont eu confiance en vous, et n'ont pas été déçus.
They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not ashamed.
6 Mais moi, je suis un ver, et je ne suis pas un homme; un opprobre des hommes, et méprisé par le peuple.
But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.
7 Tous ceux qui me voient se moquent de moi. Ils m'insultent de leurs lèvres. Ils secouent la tête en disant,
All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, [saying],
8 « Il se confie en Yahvé. Laissez-le le délivrer. Qu'il le sauve, puisqu'il se complaît en lui. »
Commit [thyself] unto the LORD; let him deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighteth in him.
9 Mais c'est toi qui m'as fait sortir du ventre de ma mère. Tu m'as fait confiance alors que j'étais aux seins de ma mère.
But thou art he that took me out the womb: thou didst make me trust [when I was] upon my mother’s breasts.
10 J'ai été jeté sur toi dès le sein de ma mère. Tu es mon Dieu depuis que ma mère m'a porté.
I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother’s belly.
11 Ne t'éloigne pas de moi, car le malheur est proche. Car il n'y a personne pour aider.
Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help.
12 De nombreux taureaux m'ont entouré. De puissants taureaux de Bashan m'ont encerclé.
Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.
13 Ils ouvrent largement la bouche contre moi, des lions déchirant leur proie et rugissant.
They gape upon me with their mouth, [as] a ravening and a roaring lion.
14 Je suis répandu comme de l'eau. Tous mes os sont déréglés. Mon cœur est comme de la cire. Il est fondu en moi.
I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.
15 Ma force est desséchée comme un pot de fleurs. Ma langue se colle au palais. Tu m'as amené dans la poussière de la mort.
My Strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.
16 Car les chiens m'ont entouré. Une troupe de malfaiteurs m'a enfermé. Ils ont percé mes mains et mes pieds.
For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of evil-doers have enclosed me; they pierced my hands and my feet.
17 Je peux compter tous mes os. Ils me regardent et me fixent.
I may tell all my bones; they look and stare upon me:
18 Ils partagent mes vêtements entre eux. Ils ont tiré au sort mes vêtements.
They part my garments among them, and upon my vesture do they cast lots.
19 Mais ne t'éloigne pas, Yahvé. Vous êtes mon aide. Dépêchez-vous de m'aider!
But be not thou far off, O LORD: O thou my succour, haste thee to help me.
20 Délivre mon âme de l'épée, ma précieuse vie du pouvoir du chien.
Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog;
21 Sauve-moi de la gueule du lion! Oui, tu m'as sauvé des cornes des bœufs sauvages.
Save me from the lion’s mouth; yea, from the horns of the wild-oxen thou hast answered me.
22 Je proclamerai ton nom à mes frères. Au milieu de l'assemblée, je te louerai.
I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.
23 Vous qui craignez Yahvé, louez-le! Vous tous, descendants de Jacob, glorifiez-le! Restez en admiration devant lui, vous tous, descendants d'Israël!
Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and stand in awe of him, all ye the seed of Israel.
24 Car il n'a pas méprisé ni abhorré l'affliction des affligés, Il ne lui a pas non plus caché son visage; mais quand il a crié vers lui, il a entendu.
For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.
25 Je te loue dans la grande assemblée. J'accomplirai mes vœux devant ceux qui le craignent.
Of thee cometh my praise in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.
26 Les humbles mangeront et seront rassasiés. Ceux qui le cherchent loueront Yahvé. Que vos cœurs vivent à jamais.
The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek after him: let your heart live for ever.
27 Toutes les extrémités de la terre se souviendront et se tourneront vers Yahvé. Tous les parents des nations se prosterneront devant toi.
All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.
28 Car le royaume appartient à Yahvé. Il est le chef des nations.
For the kingdom is the LORD’S: and he is the ruler over the nations.
29 Tous les riches de la terre mangeront et se prosterneront. Tous ceux qui descendent dans la poussière s'inclineront devant lui, même celui qui ne peut pas garder son âme en vie.
All the fat ones of the earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him, even he that cannot keep his soul alive.
30 La postérité le servira. On parlera du Seigneur aux générations futures.
A seed shall serve him; it shall be told of the Lord unto the [next] generation.
31 Ils viendront et annonceront sa justice à un peuple qui naîtra, car il l'a fait.
They shall come and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done it.
