Psaumes 2
1 Pourquoi les nations se déchaînent-elles? et les peuples complotent en vain?
Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain?
2 Les rois de la terre prennent position, et les dirigeants se concertent, contre Yahvé et contre son oint, en disant,
The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together, against the LORD and against His Anointed One:
3 « Brisons leurs liens, et jette leurs cordes loin de nous. »
“Let us break Their chains and cast away Their cords.”
4 Celui qui est assis dans les cieux rira. Le Seigneur les tournera en dérision.
The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord taunts them.
5 Puis il leur parlera dans sa colère, et les terrifier dans sa colère:
Then He rebukes them in His anger, and terrifies them in His fury:
6 « Mais j'ai établi mon roi sur ma sainte colline de Sion. »
“I have installed My King on Zion, upon My holy mountain.”
7 Je vais raconter le décret: Yahvé m'a dit: « Tu es mon fils. Aujourd'hui, je suis devenu votre père.
I will proclaim the decree spoken to Me by the LORD: “You are My Son; today I have become Your Father.
8 Demande-moi, et je te donnerai les nations en héritage, les extrémités de la terre pour les posséder.
Ask Me, and I will make the nations Your inheritance, the ends of the earth Your possession.
9 Tu les briseras avec une verge de fer. Tu les briseras comme le vase d'un potier. »
You will break them with an iron scepter; You will shatter them like pottery.”
10 Maintenant, soyez sages, vous les rois. Soyez instruits, juges de la terre.
Therefore be wise, O kings; be admonished, O judges of the earth.
11 Servez Yahvé avec crainte, et se réjouir en tremblant.
Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 Rendez un hommage sincère au Fils, de peur qu'il ne se mette en colère et que vous ne périssiez en chemin, car sa colère va bientôt s'enflammer. Heureux tous ceux qui se réfugient en lui.
Kiss the Son, lest He be angry and you perish in your rebellion, when His wrath ignites in an instant. Blessed are all who take refuge in Him.
