Psaumes 135
1 Louez Yah! Louez le nom de Yahvé! Louez-le, vous, serviteurs de Yahvé,
Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the name of the LORD; praise [him], O ye servants of the LORD.
2 vous qui vous tenez dans la maison de l'Éternel, dans les cours de la maison de notre Dieu.
Ye that stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God,
3 Louez l'Éternel, car l'Éternel est bon. Chantez des louanges à son nom, car cela est agréable.
Praise the LORD; for the LORD [is] good; sing praises to his name; for [it is] pleasant.
4 Car l'Éternel a choisi Jacob pour lui-même, Israël pour sa propre possession.
For the LORD hath chosen Jacob to himself, [and] Israel for his peculiar treasure.
5 Car je sais que Yahvé est grand, que notre Seigneur est au-dessus de tous les dieux.
For I know that the LORD [is] great, and [that] our LORD [is] above all gods.
6 Tout ce que Yahvé a voulu, il l'a fait, dans le ciel et sur la terre, dans les mers et dans tous les abîmes.
Whatever the LORD pleased, [that] did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.
7 Il fait monter les nuages des extrémités de la terre. Il fait des éclairs avec la pluie. Il fait sortir le vent de ses trésors.
He causeth the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.
8 Il frappa les premiers-nés d'Égypte, à la fois de l'homme et de l'animal.
Who smote the first-born of Egypt, both of man and beast.
9 Il a envoyé des signes et des prodiges au milieu de toi, en Égypte, sur Pharaon et sur tous ses serviteurs.
[Who] sent tokens and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants.
10 Il a frappé de nombreuses nations, et tué des rois puissants.
Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings;
11 Sihon, roi des Amorites, Og, roi de Bashan, et tous les royaumes de Canaan...
Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan:
12 et ont donné leur terre en héritage, un héritage pour Israël, son peuple.
And gave their land [for] a heritage, a heritage to Israel his people.
13 Ton nom, Yahvé, subsiste à jamais; ta renommée, Yahvé, à travers toutes les générations.
Thy name, O LORD, [endureth] for ever; [and] thy memorial, O LORD, throughout all generations.
14 Car Yahvé jugera son peuple et avoir de la compassion pour ses serviteurs.
For the LORD will judge his people, and he will repent concerning his servants.
15 Les idoles des nations sont l'argent et l'or, le travail de la main de l'homme.
The idols of the heathen [are] silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
16 Ils ont une bouche, mais ils ne peuvent pas parler. Ils ont des yeux, mais ils ne voient pas.
They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not.
17 Ils ont des oreilles, mais ils n'entendent pas, il n'y a pas non plus de souffle dans leurs bouches.
They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there [any] breath in their mouths.
18 Ceux qui les font seront comme eux, oui, tous ceux qui ont confiance en eux.
They that make them are like them: [so is] every one that trusteth in them.
19 Maison d'Israël, louez Yahvé! Maison d'Aaron, louez Yahvé!
Bless the LORD, O house of Israel: bless the LORD, O house of Aaron:
20 Maison de Lévi, louez Yahvé! Vous qui craignez Yahvé, louez Yahvé!
Bless the LORD, O house of Levi: ye that fear the LORD, bless the LORD.
21 Béni soit Yahvé de Sion, qui habite à Jérusalem. Louez Yah!
Blessed be the LORD out of Zion, who dwelleth at Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.
