Psaumes 132
1 Une chanson d'ascension. Yahvé, souviens-toi de David et de toute son affliction,
A Song of Ascents. LORD, remember for David all his affliction;
2 comment il a juré à Yahvé, et fait un vœu au Puissant de Jacob:
How he sware unto the LORD, and vowed unto the Mighty One of Jacob:
3 « Certes, je n'entrerai pas dans la structure de ma maison, ni monter dans mon lit;
Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;
4 Je ne donnerai pas de sommeil à mes yeux, ou le sommeil à mes paupières,
I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids;
5 jusqu'à ce que je trouve une place pour Yahvé, une demeure pour le Puissant de Jacob. »
Until I find out a place for the LORD, a tabernacle for the Mighty One of Jacob.
6 Voici, nous en avons entendu parler à Éphrata. Nous l'avons trouvé dans le domaine de Jaar.
Lo, we heard of it in Ephrathah: we found it in the field of the wood.
7 « Nous irons dans sa demeure. Nous nous prosternerons devant son marchepied. »
We will go into his tabernacles; we will worship at his footstool.
8 Lève-toi, Yahvé, dans ton lieu de repos, toi, et l'arche de ta force.
Arise, O LORD, into thy resting place; thou, and the ark of thy strength.
9 Que vos prêtres soient revêtus de justice. Que vos saints crient de joie!
Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy.
10 Pour l'amour de ton serviteur David, ne détourne pas le visage de ton oint.
For thy servant David’s sake turn not away the face of thine anointed.
11 Yahvé a juré à David de dire la vérité. Il ne s'en détournera pas: « Je placerai le fruit de ton corps sur ton trône.
The LORD hath sworn unto David in truth; he will not turn from it: of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.
12 Si tes enfants gardent mon alliance, mon témoignage que je leur enseignerai, leurs enfants aussi s'assiéront sur ton trône pour toujours. »
If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children also shall sit upon thy throne for evermore.
13 Car Yahvé a choisi Sion. Il l'a désirée pour y vivre.
For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.
14 « C'est ici que je me repose pour toujours. Je vivrai ici, car je l'ai désiré.
This is my resting place for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.
15 Je bénirai abondamment ses provisions. Je vais satisfaire ses pauvres avec du pain.
I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.
16 Je revêtirai aussi ses prêtres du salut. Ses saints pousseront des cris de joie.
Her priests also will I clothe with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.
17 Je ferai bourgeonner là la corne de David. J'ai ordonné une lampe pour mes oints.
There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.
18 Je revêtirai ses ennemis de honte, mais sur lui-même, sa couronne brillera. »
His enemies will I clothe with shame: but upon himself shall his crown flourish.
