Psaumes 131

1 Une chanson d'ascension. Par David. Yahvé, mon cœur n'est pas arrogant, ni mes yeux hautains; et je ne m'occupe pas non plus des grandes affaires, ou des choses trop merveilleuses pour moi.

Yahweh, I am not proud and I have not thought highly about (myself/the things that I have done). And I do not concern myself about things [that you have done] that are very big or very wonderful.

2 Je me suis calmé et j'ai apaisé mon âme, comme un enfant sevré avec sa mère, comme un enfant sevré, mon âme est en moi.

Instead, I am calm and peaceful, like a [small] child who lies quietly in its mother’s arms [SIM]. In the same way, I am peaceful.

3 Israël, espère en Yahvé, à partir de maintenant et pour toujours.

You [my fellow] Israelis, confidently expect that Yahweh [will do good things for you], now and forever!
