< Psaumes 112 >
1 Louez Yah! Heureux l'homme qui craint Yahvé, qui se complaît dans ses commandements.
Praise Yahweh! (Happy are/He is pleased with) those who revere him, those who happily obey his commands.
2 Sa progéniture sera puissante dans le pays. La génération des hommes intègres sera bénie.
Their children will prosper in their land; and their descendants will be blessed [by God].
3 La richesse et les richesses sont dans sa maison. Sa justice est éternelle.
Their families [MTY] will be very wealthy [DOU], and [the results of] their righteous deeds will endure forever.
4 La lumière se lève dans les ténèbres pour les justes, gracieux, miséricordieux et juste.
Godly/Righteous people are [like] lights [SIM] that shine in the darkness on those who are kind, merciful and righteous.
5 Tout va bien pour l'homme qui traite avec bonté et qui prête. Il maintiendra sa cause dans le jugement.
Things [will] go well for those who generously lend money to others and who conduct their businesses honestly.
6 Car il ne sera jamais ébranlé. On se souviendra toujours des justes.
Righteous people will not be overwhelmed/worried/distressed [because of their troubles], and they will never be forgotten [by other people].
7 Il ne craindra pas les mauvaises nouvelles. Son cœur est inébranlable, il a confiance en Yahvé.
They are not afraid of [receiving] bad news; they confidently/completely trust in Yahweh.
8 Son cœur est affermi. Il n'aura pas peur à la fin quand il verra ses adversaires.
They are confident and not afraid, because they know that they will see [God defeat] their enemies.
9 Il a dispersé, il a donné aux pauvres. Sa justice est éternelle. Sa corne sera exaltée avec honneur.
They give things generously to poor/needy [people]; [the results of] their kind deeds will endure forever, and they [will] be exalted and honored.
10 Les méchants le verront, et seront affligés. Il grincera des dents et se fondra. Le désir des méchants périra.
Wicked people see those things and are angry; they gnash their teeth [angrily], but they [will] disappear [and die]. The [wicked] things that they want to do [will] never happen.
