1 Voici les voyages des enfants d'Israël, lorsqu'ils sortirent du pays d'Égypte par leurs armées, sous la conduite de Moïse et d'Aaron.
And these are the stages of the children of Israel, as they went out from the land of Egypt with their host by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
2 Moïse a écrit les points de départ de leurs voyages sur l'ordre de l'Éternel. Voici leurs itinéraires selon leurs points de départ.
And Moses wrote their removals and their stages, by the word of the Lord: and these are the stages of their journeying.
3 Ils partirent de Ramsès le premier mois, le quinzième jour du premier mois; le lendemain de la Pâque, les enfants d'Israël sortirent la main haute aux yeux de tous les Égyptiens,
They departed from Ramesses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the day after the passover the children of Israel went forth with a high hand before all the Egyptians.
4 pendant que les Égyptiens enterraient tous leurs premiers-nés, que Yahvé avait frappés parmi eux. Yahvé exerça aussi des jugements sur leurs dieux.
And the Egyptians buried those that died of them, even all that the Lord smote, every first-born in the land of Egypt; also the Lord executed vengeance on their gods.
5 Les enfants d'Israël partirent de Ramsès, et ils campèrent à Succoth.
And the children of Israel departed from Ramesses, and encamped in Socchoth:
6 Ils partirent de Succoth, et campèrent à Étham, qui est à l'extrémité du désert.
and they departed from Socchoth and encamped in Buthan, which is a part of the wilderness.
7 Ils partirent d'Étham, et se retournèrent vers Pihahiroth, qui est devant Baal Zephon, et ils campèrent devant Migdol.
And they departed from Buthan and encamped at the mouth of Iroth, which is opposite Beel-sepphon, and encamped opposite Magdol.
8 Ils partirent de devant Hahiroth, et traversèrent le milieu de la mer pour entrer dans le désert. Ils firent trois journées de marche dans le désert d'Étham, et ils campèrent à Mara.
And they departed from before Iroth, and crossed the middle of the sea into the wilderness; and they went a journey of three days through the wilderness, and encamped in Picriae.
9 Ils partirent de Mara, et arrivèrent à Elim. A Elim, il y avait douze sources d'eau et soixante-dix palmiers, et ils campèrent là.
And they departed from Picriae, and came to Aelim; and in Aelim [were] twelve fountains of water, and seventy palm-trees, and they encamped there by the water.
10 Ils partirent d'Élim et campèrent près de la mer Rouge.
And they departed from Aelim, and encamped by the Red Sea.
11 Ils partirent de la mer Rouge, et campèrent dans le désert de Sin.
And they departed from the Red Sea, and encamped in the wilderness of Sin.

14 Ils partirent d'Alush, et campèrent à Rephidim, où il n'y avait pas d'eau à boire pour le peuple.
And they departed from Aelus, and encamped in Raphidin; and there was no water there for the people to drink.

And they departed from Gesion Gaber, and encamped in the wilderness of Sin; and they departed from the wilderness of Sin, and encamped in the wilderness of Pharan; this is Cades.
37 Ils partirent de Kadès, et campèrent à la montagne de Hor, à la limite du pays d`Édom.
And they departed from Cades, and encamped in mount Or near the land of Edom.
38 Le prêtre Aaron monta sur la montagne de Hor, sur l'ordre de l'Éternel, et il y mourut, la quarantième année après la sortie des enfants d'Israël du pays d'Égypte, le cinquième mois, le premier jour du mois.
And Aaron the priest went up by the command of the Lord, and died there in the fortieth year of the departure of the children of Israel from the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first [day] of the month.
39 Aaron était âgé de cent vingt-trois ans lorsqu'il mourut sur la montagne de Hor.
And Aaron was a hundred and twenty-three years old, when he died in mount Or.
40 Le roi cananéen d'Arad, qui habitait au sud du pays de Canaan, apprit l'arrivée des enfants d'Israël.
And Arad the Chananitish king (he too dwelt in the land of Chanaan) having heard when the children of Israel were entering [the land]—
41 Ils partirent de la montagne de Hor, et campèrent à Zalmona.
then they departed from mount Or, and encamped in Selmona.
42 Ils partirent de Tsalmona, et campèrent à Punon.
And they departed from Selmona, and encamped in Phino.
43 Ils partirent de Punon, et campèrent à Oboth.
And they departed from Phino, and encamped in Oboth.
44 Ils partirent d`Oboth, et campèrent à Iyim Abarim, sur la frontière de Moab.
And they departed from Oboth, and encamped in Gai, on the other side [Jordan] on the borders of Moab.
45 Ils partirent de Iyim, et campèrent à Dibon Gad.

And they departed from Daebon Gad, and encamped in Gelmon Deblathaim.
47 Ils partirent d'Almon Diblathaïm, et campèrent dans les montagnes d'Abarim, devant Nébo.
And they departed from Gelmon Deblathaim, and encamped on the mountains of Abarim, over against Nabau.
48 Ils partirent des montagnes d'Abarim, et campèrent dans les plaines de Moab, près du Jourdain, à Jéricho.
And they departed from the mountains of Abarim, and encamped on the west of Moab, at Jordan by Jericho.
49 Ils campèrent près du Jourdain, depuis Beth Jeshimoth jusqu'à Abel Shittim, dans les plaines de Moab.
And they encamped by Jordan between Aesimoth, as far as Belsa to the west of Moab.
50 Yahvé parla à Moïse dans les plaines de Moab, près du Jourdain, à Jéricho, et dit:
And the Lord spoke to Moses at the west of Moab by Jordan at Jericho, saying,
51 Parle aux enfants d'Israël, et dis-leur: « Quand vous aurez passé le Jourdain pour entrer dans le pays de Canaan,
Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, Ye are to pass over Jordan into the land of Chanaan.
52 vous chasserez devant vous tous les habitants du pays, vous détruirez toutes leurs idoles de pierre, toutes leurs images en fonte, et vous démolirez tous leurs hauts lieux.
And ye shall destroy all that dwell in the land before your face, and ye shall abolish their high places, and all their molten images ye shall destroy, and ye shall demolish all their pillars.
53 Vous prendrez possession du pays et vous l'habiterez, car je vous ai donné le pays pour que vous le possédiez.
And ye shall destroy all the inhabitants of the land, and ye shall dwell in it, for I have given their land to you for an inheritance.
54 Vous hériterez du pays par le sort, selon vos familles; vous donnerez un plus grand héritage aux plus grands, et un plus petit héritage aux plus petits. Tout ce qui reviendra à un homme par le sort lui appartiendra. Vous hériterez selon les tribus de vos pères.
And ye shall inherit their land according to your tribes; to the greater number ye shall give the larger possession, and to the smaller ye shall give the less possession; to whatsoever [part] a man's name shall go forth [by lot], there shall be his [property]: ye shall inherit according to the tribes of your families.
55 « Mais si vous ne chassez pas devant vous les habitants du pays, ceux que vous laisserez subsister seront comme des aiguillons dans vos yeux et des épines dans vos côtés. Ils te harcèleront dans le pays où tu habites.
But if ye will not destroy the dwellers in the land from before you, then it shall come to pass that whomsoever of them ye shall leave shall be thorns in your eyes, and darts in your sides, and they shall be enemies to you on the land on which ye shall dwell;
56 Il arrivera que ce que j'ai pensé leur faire, je vous le ferai aussi. »
and it shall come to pass that as I had determined to do to them, so I will do to you.
