Néhémie 3
1 Alors Eliashib, le grand prêtre, se leva avec ses frères les prêtres, et ils construisirent la porte des brebis. Ils la sanctifièrent et en posèrent les portes. Ils la sanctifièrent jusqu'à la tour de Hammea, jusqu'à la tour de Hananel.
Then arose Eliashib the high priest and his brethren the priests, and built the sheep-gate, they, hallowed it, and set up the doors thereof, —even unto the tower of Hammeah, hallowed they it, unto the tower of Hananel;
2 A côté de lui, les hommes de Jéricho bâtirent. A côté d'eux, Zaccur, fils d'Imri, bâtit.
and, at his hand, built, the men of Jericho, —and at his [other] hand built Zaccur, son of Imri.
3 Les fils de Hasséna construisirent la porte des poissons. Ils posèrent ses poutres, ses portes, ses verrous et ses barres.
And, the fish-gate, did the sons of Hassenaah build, —they, laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof;
4 A côté d'eux, Meremoth, fils d'Urie, fils de Hakkoz, fit des réparations. A côté d'eux, Meshullam, fils de Bérékia, fils de Meshezabel, fit des réparations. A côté d'eux, Zadok, fils de Baana, répara.
and, at their hand, repaired, Meremoth son of Uriah son of Hakkoz, and, at their hand, repaired, Meshullum son of Berechiah son of Meshezabel, —and, at their hand, repaired, Zadok son of Baana;
5 A côté d'eux, les Tekoïtes réparaient; mais leurs nobles ne mettaient pas leur cou à l'ouvrage du Seigneur.
and, at their hand, repaired, the Tekoites, —but, their chiefs, put not their neck into the service of their lords.
6 Joiada, fils de Paseah, et Meshullam, fils de Besodeiah, réparèrent la vieille porte. Ils en posèrent les poutres et en placèrent les portes, les verrous et les barres.
And, the old gate, did Joiada son of Paseah, and Meshullam, son of Besodeiah, repair, —they, laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, and the locks thereof, and the bars thereof;
7 A côté d'eux, Melatia, le Gibéonite, et Jadon, le Méronothite, hommes de Gibéon et de Mitspa, réparèrent la résidence du gouverneur au-delà du fleuve.
and, at their hand, repaired, Melatiah the Gibeonite and Jadon the Meronothite, men of Gibeon and of Mizpah, —who pertained to the throne of the pasha Beyond the River;
8 A côté de lui, Uzziel, fils de Harhaïa, orfèvres, effectuèrent des réparations. A côté de lui, Hanania, l'un des parfumeurs, fit des réparations, et ils fortifièrent Jérusalem jusqu'à la grande muraille.
at his hand, repaired, Uzziel son of Harhaiah, goldsmiths, and, at his hand, repaired Hananiah son of the perfumers, —and they fortified Jerusalem, as far as the broad wall;
9 A côté d'eux, Rephaïa, fils de Hur, chef de la moitié du district de Jérusalem, fit des réparations.
and, at their hand, repaired, Rephaiah son of Hur, ruler of a half-circuit of Jerusalem;
10 A côté d'eux, Jedaiah, fils de Harumaph, fit des réparations en face de sa maison. A côté de lui, Hattush, fils d'Hashabneia, répara.
and, at their hand, repaired, Jedaiah son of Harumaph, even over against his own house, —and, at his hand, repaired, Hattush, son of Hashabneiah;
11 Malkija, fils de Harim, et Hasshub, fils de Pahathmoab, réparèrent une autre partie et la tour des fours.
a second length, did Malchijah son of Harim and Hasshub son of Pahath-moab, repair, —also the tower of the ovens;
12 A côté de lui, Shallum, fils de Hallohesh, chef de la moitié du district de Jérusalem, et ses filles réparèrent.
and, at his hand, repaired, Shallum son of Hallohesh, ruler of a half-circuit of Jerusalem, —he and his daughters.
13 Hanun et les habitants de Zanoa réparèrent la porte de la vallée. Ils la construisirent et mirent en place ses portes, ses verrous et ses barres, ainsi que mille coudées de mur jusqu'à la porte du fumier.
The valley-gate, did Hanun and the inhabitants of Zanoah, repair, —they, built it, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof, —also a thousand cubits in the wall, as far as the dung-gate.
14 Malkija, fils de Rechab, chef du district de Beth Haccherem, répara la porte des fumiers. Il l'a construite et a mis en place ses portes, ses verrous et ses barres.
And, the dung-gate, did Malchijah son of Rechab, ruler of the circuit of Beth-haccherem, repair, —he, built it, and set up the doors thereof, he locks thereof, and the bars thereof.
15 Shallun, fils de Colhozeh, chef du district de Mitspa, répara la porte de la source. Il la construisit, la couvrit et en posa les portes, les verrous et les barres. Il répara aussi le mur de l'étang de Shéla, près du jardin du roi, jusqu'à l'escalier qui descend de la cité de David.
And, the fountain-gate, did Shallun son of Col-hozeh ruler of the circuit of Mizpah, repair, he, built it, and covered it, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof, —also the wall of the pool of Shelah, by the garden of the king, even as far as the stairs that go down from the city of David;
16 Après lui, Néhémie, fils d'Azbuk, chef de la moitié du district de Beth Tsur, répara le lieu situé en face des tombeaux de David, l'étang qui avait été construit et la maison des héros.
after him, repaired, Nehemiah son of Azbuk, ruler of the half-circuit of Beth-zur, —as far as over against the sepulchres of David, even unto the pool which had been made, and unto the house of heroes;
17 Après lui, les Lévites - Rehum, fils de Bani - firent des réparations. A côté de lui, Haschabia, chef de la moitié du district de Keïla, fit des réparations pour son district.
after him, repaired, the Levites, Rehum son of Bani, —at his hand, repaired, Hashabiah, ruler of the half-circuit of Keilah, for his circuit;
18 Après lui, leurs frères, Bavvai, fils de Henadad, chef de la moitié du district de Keila, répara.

19 A côté de lui, Ezer, fils de Jeshua, chef de Mitspa, répara une autre portion, en face, depuis la montée jusqu'à l'arsenal, au tournant de la muraille.
and there repaired at his hand, Ezer son of Jeshua, ruler of Mizpah, a second length, —over against the ascent of the armoury, at the corner;
20 Après lui, Baruch, fils de Zabbai, répara avec ardeur une autre portion, depuis le tournant du mur jusqu'à la porte de la maison du grand prêtre Eliashib.
after him, zealously repaired Baruch son of Zabbai, a second length, —from the corner, unto the opening of the house of Eliashib, the high priest;
21 Après lui, Merémoth, fils d'Urie, fils de Hakkoz, répara une autre portion, depuis la porte de la maison d'Éliaschib jusqu'à l'extrémité de la maison d'Éliaschib.
after him, repaired, Meremoth son of Uriah son of Hakkoz, a second length, —from the opening of the house of Eliashib, even unto the end of the house of Eliashib;
22 Après lui, les prêtres, les hommes des environs firent des réparations.
and, after him, repaired, the priests, the men of the Circuit;
23 Après eux, Benjamin et Hasshub firent des réparations en face de leur maison. Après eux, Azaria, fils de Maaséja, fils d'Anania, répara à côté de sa maison.
after him, repaired, Benjamin and Hasshub, over against their own house, —after him, repaired, Azariah son of Maaseiah son of Ananiah, beside his own house;
24 Après lui, Binnui, fils de Hénadad, répara une autre portion, depuis la maison d'Azaria jusqu'au tournant du mur et jusqu'à l'angle.

25 Palal, fils d'Uzai, répara l'angle de la muraille et la tour qui s'élève de la maison haute du roi, près de la cour des gardes. Après lui, Pedaja, fils de Parosh, fit des réparations.
Palal, son of Uzai, from over against the corner, and the tower that projecteth from the upper house of the king, which belongeth to the court of custody, —after him, Pedaiah son of Parosh.
26 (Les serviteurs du temple habitaient à Ophel, à l'endroit situé en face de la porte des eaux, vers l'est, et de la tour qui se dresse).
Now, the Nethinim, were dwelling in Ophel, —as far as over against the water-gate, on the east, and the tower that projecteth;
27 Après lui, les Tekoïtes réparèrent une autre partie, en face de la grande tour qui se dresse, et jusqu'au mur d'Ophel.
after him, repaired, the Tekoites, a second length, —from over against the great tower that projecteth, even unto the wall of Ophel:
28 Au-dessus de la porte des chevaux, les sacrificateurs réparaient, chacun en face de sa maison.
from beside the horse-gate, repaired the priests, every one over against his own house;
29 Après eux, Zadok, fils d'Immer, réparait en face de sa maison. Après lui, Shemaya, fils de Shecania, gardien de la porte orientale, fit des réparations.
after him, repaired, Zadok son of Immer, over against his own house, —and, after him, repaired, Shemaiah son of Shecaniah, keeper of the east-gate;
30 Après lui, Hanania, fils de Shemiah, et Hanun, sixième fils de Zalaph, réparèrent une autre portion. Après lui, Meshullam, fils de Bérékia, répara la partie située en face de sa chambre.
after him, repaired, Hananiah son of Shelemiah, and Hanun sixth son of Zalaph, a second length, —after him, repaired, Meshullam son of Berechiah, over against his chamber;

and, between the ascent of the pinnacle and the sheep-gate, repaired, the goldsmiths, and the traders.
