Néhémie 11
1 Les princes du peuple habitaient à Jérusalem. Le reste du peuple tirait aussi au sort une part de dix pour habiter à Jérusalem, la ville sainte, et neuf parts dans les autres villes.
And the rulers of the people dwelt in Ierusalem: the other people also cast lottes, to bring one out of ten to dwel in Ierusalem the holy citie, and nine partes to be in the cities.
2 Le peuple bénissait tous les hommes qui s'offraient volontairement pour habiter à Jérusalem.
And the people thanked all the men that were willing to dwell in Ierusalem.
3 Voici les chefs de la province qui habitaient à Jérusalem; mais dans les villes de Juda, chacun habitait dans sa propriété dans ses villes: Israël, les prêtres, les lévites, les serviteurs du temple et les enfants des serviteurs de Salomon.
These now are the chiefe of the prouince, that dwelt in Ierusalem, but in the cities of Iudah, euery one dwelt in his owne possession in their cities of Israel, the Priestes and the Leuites, and the Nethinims, and the sonnes of Salomons seruants.
4 Une partie des fils de Juda et des fils de Benjamin habitaient à Jérusalem. Des fils de Juda: Athaja, fils d'Ozias, fils de Zacharie, fils d'Amaria, fils de Shephatia, fils de Mahalalel, des fils de Pérez;
And in Ierusalem dwelt certaine of the children of Iudah, and of the children of Beniamin. Of the sonnes of Iudah, Athaiah, the sonne of Vziiah, the sonne of Zechariah, the sonne of Amariah, the sonne of Shephatiah, the sonne of Mahaleel, of the sonnes of Perez,
5 Maaséja, fils de Baruch, fils de Colhozeh, fils de Hazaja, fils d'Adaja, fils de Joiarib, fils de Zacharie, fils du Shilonite.
And Maaseiah the sonne of Baruch, the sonne of Col Hozeh, the sonne of Hazaiah, the sonne of Adaiah, the sonne of Ioiarib, the sonne of Zechariah, the sonne of Shiloni.
6 Tous les fils de Pérez qui habitaient à Jérusalem étaient quatre cent soixante-huit hommes vaillants.
All the sonnes of Perez that dwelt at Ierusalem, were foure hundreth, three score and eight valiant men.
7 Voici les fils de Benjamin: Sallu, fils de Meshullam, fils de Jœd, fils de Pedaja, fils de Kolaja, fils de Maaséja, fils d'Ithiel, fils de Jeshaiah.
These also are the sonnes of Beniamin, Sallu, the sonne of Meshullam, the sonne of Ioed, the sonne of Pedaiah, the sonne of Kolaiah, the sonne of Maaseiah, the sonne of Ithiel, the sonne of Ieshaiah.
8 Après lui, Gabbaï et Sallaï, neuf cent vingt-huit.
And after him Gabai, Sallai, nine hundreth and twentie and eight.
9 Joël, fils de Zicri, était leur surveillant; et Juda, fils de Hassenua, était le second sur la ville.
And Ioel the sonne of Zichri was gouernour ouer them: and Iudah, the sonne of Senuah was the second ouer the citie:
10 Parmi les sacrificateurs: Jedaja, fils de Joiarib, Jachin,
Of the Priestes, Iedaiah, the sonne of Ioiarib, Iachin.
11 Seraja, fils de Hilkija, fils de Meshullam, fils de Tsadok, fils de Meraioth, fils d'Ahitub, chef de la maison de Dieu,
Seraiah, the sonne of Hilkiah, the sonne of Meshullam, the sonne of Zadok, the sonne of Meraioth, the sonne of Ahitub was chiefe of the house of God.
12 et leurs frères qui faisaient les travaux de la maison, huit cent vingt-deux; Adaja, fils de Jerocham, fils de Pelalia, fils d'Amzi, fils de Zacharie, fils de Pashhur, fils de Malkija,
And their brethren that did the worke in the Temple, were eight hundreth, twenty and two: and Adaiah, the sonne of Ieroham, the sonne of Pelaliah, the sonne of Amzi, the sonne of Zechariah, the sonne of Pashur, the sonne of Malchiah:
13 et ses frères, chefs de famille, deux cent quarante-deux; Amashsaï, fils d'Azarel, fils d'Ahzaï, fils de Meshillemoth, fils d'Immer,
And his brethren, chiefe of the fathers, two hundreth and two and fourtie: and Amashsai the sonne of Azareel, the sonne of Ahazai, the sonne of Meshilemoth, the sonne of Immer:
14 et leurs frères, vaillants hommes, cent vingt-huit; et leur chef était Zabdiel, fils de Haggedolim.
And their brethren valiant men, an hundreth and eight and twentie: and their ouerseer was Zabdiel the sonne of Hagedolim.
15 Parmi les Lévites: Schemaeja, fils de Hasshub, fils d'Azrikam, fils de Haschabia, fils de Bunni;
And of the Leuites, Shemaiah, the sonne of Hashub, the sonne of Azrikam, the sonne of Hashabiah, the sonne of Bunni.
16 Shabbethaï et Jozabad, des chefs des Lévites, qui avaient la surveillance des affaires extérieures de la maison de Dieu;
And Shabbethai, and Iozabad of the chiefe of the Leuites were ouer the workes of the house of God without.
17 et Mattania, fils de Mica, fils de Zabdi, fils d'Asaph, qui était le chef pour commencer les actions de grâces en prière, et Bakbukiah, le second parmi ses frères; et Abda, fils de Shammua, fils de Galal, fils de Jeduthun.
And Mattaniah, the sonne of Micha, the sonne of Zabdi, the sonne of Asaph was the chiefe to begin the thankesgiuing and prayer: and Bakbukiah the second of his brethren, and Abda, the sonne of Shammua, the sonne of Galal, the sonne of Ieduthun.
18 Tous les Lévites de la ville sainte étaient au nombre de deux cent quatre-vingt-quatre.
All the Leuites in the holy citie were two hundreth foure score and foure.
19 Les gardiens des portes, Akkub, Talmon et leurs frères, qui surveillaient les portes, étaient au nombre de cent soixante-douze.
And the porters Akkub, Talmon and their brethren that kept the gates, were an hundreth twentie and two.
20 Le reste d'Israël, les prêtres et les lévites étaient dans toutes les villes de Juda, chacun dans son héritage.
And the residue of Israel, of the Priests, and of the Leuites dwelt in al the cities of Iudah, euery one in his inheritance.
21 Mais les serviteurs du temple habitaient à Ophel, et Ziha et Gishpa étaient à la tête des serviteurs du temple.
And the Nethinims dwelt in the fortresse, and Ziha, and Gispa was ouer the Nethinims.
22 Le surveillant des Lévites à Jérusalem était Uzzi, fils de Bani, fils de Haschabia, fils de Matthania, fils de Mica, d'entre les fils d'Asaph, les chantres, qui étaient chargés des affaires de la maison de Dieu.
And the ouerseer of the Leuites in Ierusalem was Vzzi the sonne of Bani, the sonne of Ashabiah, the sonne of Mattaniah, the sonne of Micha: of the sonnes of Asaph singers were ouer the worke of the house of God.
23 Car il y avait un ordre du roi à leur sujet, et une provision fixe pour les chantres, selon les besoins de chaque jour.
For it was the Kings commandement cocerning them, that faithfull prouision shoulde bee for the singers euery day.
24 Pethahia, fils de Meshezabel, des fils de Zérach, fils de Juda, était auprès du roi pour tout ce qui concernait le peuple.
And Pethahiah the sonne of Meshezabeel, of the sonnes of Zerah, the sonne of Iudah was at the Kings hand in all matters concerning the people.
25 Quant aux villages avec leurs champs, des fils de Juda habitèrent à Kiriath Arba et dans ses villes, à Dibon et dans ses villes, à Jekabzeel et dans ses villages,
And in the villages in their landes, some of the children of Iudah dwelt in Kiriath-arba, and in the villages thereof, and in Dibon, and in the villages thereof, and in Iekabzeel. and in the villages thereof,
26 à Jeshua, à Molada, à Beth Pelet,
And in Ieshua, and in Moladah, and in Beth palet,
27 à Hazar Shual, à Beersheba et ses villes,
And in Hazer-shual, and in Beer-sheba, and in the villages thereof,
28 à Ziklag, à la Mecque et ses villes,
And in Ziklag, and in Mechonah, and in the villages thereof,
29 à En Rimmon, à Zorah, à Jarmuth,
And in En-rimmon, and in Zareah, and in Iarmuth,
30 à Zanoa, à Adullam et leurs villages, à Lakis et ses champs, à Azéka et ses villes. Ils campèrent ainsi depuis Beer Schéba jusqu'à la vallée de Hinnom.
Zanoah, Adullam, and in their villages, in Lachish, and in the fieldes thereof, at Azekah, and in the villages thereof: and they dwelt from Beer-sheba, vnto the valley of Hinnom.
31 Les fils de Benjamin habitaient aussi depuis Guéba, à Micmasch et à Aija, à Béthel et aux villes de son ressort,
And the sonnes of Beniamin from Geba, in Michmash, and Aiia, and Beth-el, and in the villages thereof,
32 à Anathoth, à Nob, à Anania,
Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah,
33 à Hatsor, à Rama, à Gittaïm,
Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim,
34 à Hadid, à Zeboïm, à Neballat,
Hadid, Zeboim, Nebalat,
35 à Lod, et à Ono, la vallée des artisans.
Lod and Ono, in the carpenters valley.
36 Parmi les Lévites, certaines divisions de Juda s'établirent dans le territoire de Benjamin.
And of the Leuites were diuisions in Iudah and in Beniamin.
