Michée 1
1 Parole de Yahvé qui fut adressée à Michée, de Morasheth, aux jours de Jotham, d'Achaz et d'Ézéchias, rois de Juda, et qu'il vit concernant Samarie et Jérusalem.
And the word of the Lord came to Michaeas the son of Morasthi, in the days of Joatham, and Achaz, and Ezekias, kings of Juda, concerning what he saw regarding Samaria and Jerusalem.
2 Écoutez, vous, peuples, vous tous! Écoute, ô terre, et tout ce qu'elle contient. Que le Seigneur Yahvé soit témoin contre vous, le Seigneur de son temple sacré.
Hear [these] words, you people; and let the earth give heed, and all that are in it: and the Lord God shall be amongst you for a testimony, the Lord out of his holy habitation.
3 Car voici, Yahvé sort de son lieu, et descendra et foulera les hauts lieux de la terre.
For, behold, the Lord comes forth out of his place, and will come down, and will go upon the high places of the earth.
4 Les montagnes fondent sous lui, et les vallées se fendent comme la cire devant le feu, comme des eaux qui se déversent dans un endroit escarpé.
And the mountains shall be shaken under him, and the valleys shall melt like wax before the fire, and as water rushing down a declivity.
5 « Tout cela à cause de la désobéissance de Jacob, et pour les péchés de la maison d'Israël. Quelle est la désobéissance de Jacob? Ce n'est pas la Samarie? Et quels sont les hauts lieux de Juda? N'est-ce pas Jérusalem?
All these [calamities are] for the transgression of Jacob, and for the sin of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? [is it] not Samaria? and what is the sin of the house of Juda? [is it] not Jerusalem?
6 C'est pourquoi je rendrai Samarie semblable à un tas de décombres des champs, comme des endroits pour planter des vignes; et je déverserai ses pierres dans la vallée, et je découvrirai ses fondations.
Therefore I will make Samaria [as] a store-house of the fruits of the field, and [as] a planting of a vineyard: and I will utterly demolish her stones, and I will expose her foundations.
7 Toutes ses idoles seront mises en pièces, tous ses dons au temple seront brûlés par le feu, et je détruirai toutes ses images; car elle les a recueillis sur le salaire d'une prostituée, et au salaire d'une prostituée, ils retourneront. »
And they shall cut in pieces all the graven images, and all that she has hired they shall burn with fire, and I will utterly destroy all her idols: because she has gathered of the hires of fornication, and of the hires of fornication has she amassed [wealth].
8 C'est pourquoi je me plains et je gémis. J'irai dépouillé et nu. Je hurlerai comme les chacals et se lamenter comme les autruches.
Therefore shall she lament and wail, she shall go barefooted, and [being] naked she shall make lamentation as [that] of serpents, and mourning as of the daughters of sirens.
9 Car ses blessures sont incurables; car elle est arrivée jusqu'à Juda. Elle atteint la porte de mon peuple, même à Jérusalem.
For her plague has become grievous; for it has come even to Juda; and has reached to the gate of my people, even to Jerusalem.
10 Ne le dis pas à Gath. Ne pleurez pas du tout. A Beth Ophrah, je me suis roulé dans la poussière.
You that are in Geth, exalt not yourselves, and you Enakim, do not rebuild from [the ruins of] the house in derision: sprinkle dust [in the place of] your laughter.
11 Passe, habitant de Shaphir, dans la nudité et la honte. L'habitant de Zaanan ne sortira pas. Les lamentations de Beth Ezel t'enlèveront sa protection.
The inhabitant of Sennaar, fairly inhabiting her cities, came not forth to mourn for the house next to her: she shall receive of you the stroke of grief.
12 Car l'habitant de Maroth attend impatiemment le bien, car le mal est descendu de Yahvé jusqu'à la porte de Jérusalem.
Who has begun [to act] for good to her that dwells in sorrow? for calamities have come down from the Lord upon the gates of Jerusalem,
13 Attelez le char au coursier rapide, habitant de Lakis. Elle a été le début du péché pour la fille de Sion; car les transgressions d'Israël se sont retrouvées en toi.
[even] a sound of chariots and horsemen: the inhabitants of Lachis, she is the leader of sin to the daughter of Sion: for in you were found the transgressions of Israel.
14 Vous ferez donc un cadeau d'adieu à Moresheth Gath. Les maisons d'Aczib seront un objet de tromperie pour les rois d'Israël.
Therefore shall he cause men to be sent forth as far as the inheritance of Geth, [even] vain houses; they are become vanity to the kings of Israel;
15 Je vous amènerai encore un vainqueur, habitants de Mareshah. La gloire d'Israël viendra à Adullam.
until they bring the heirs, O inhabitant of Lachis: the inheritance shall reach to Odollam, [even] the glory of the daughter of Israel.
16 Rasez-vous la tête, et coupez vos cheveux pour les enfants de vos délices. Agrandissez votre calvitie comme le vautour, car ils sont partis en captivité loin de toi!
Shave your hair, and make yourself bald for your delicate children; increase your widowhood as an eagle; for [your people] are gone into captivity from you.
