Matthieu 28
1 Après le sabbat, comme l'aube commençait à poindre le premier jour de la semaine, Marie-Madeleine et l'autre Marie vinrent voir le sépulcre.
NOW after the eve of the sabbath, as the light was dawning, towards the first day of the week, Mary Magdalen had come, and the other Mary, to view the sepulchre.
2 Et voici, il y eut un grand tremblement de terre; car un ange du Seigneur descendit du ciel, vint rouler la pierre de la porte et s'assit dessus.
And, lo! there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descending from heaven, came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
3 Son aspect était semblable à l'éclair, et son vêtement blanc comme la neige.
His aspect was as lightning, and his raiment white as snow.
4 Par crainte de lui, les gardes tremblèrent et devinrent comme des morts.
And for fear of him the guards shook, and became as dead men.
5 L'ange répondit aux femmes: « N'ayez pas peur, car je sais que vous cherchez Jésus, qui a été crucifié.
Then the angel addressing them, said to the women, Fear not ye; for I know that ye are seeking Jesus who was crucified.
6 Il n'est pas ici, car il est ressuscité, comme il l'avait dit. Venez, voyez le lieu où le Seigneur était couché.
He is not here: he is risen, as he said. Come hither, behold the place where the Lord lay.
7 Allez vite dire à ses disciples: « Il est ressuscité des morts, et voici qu'il vous précède en Galilée; c'est là que vous le verrez ». Voici, je vous l'ai dit. »
And go quickly, tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead: and, lo! he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.
8 Elles s'éloignèrent rapidement du tombeau, avec crainte et dans une grande joie, et coururent porter la nouvelle à ses disciples.
And they went out quickly from the sepulchre with fear, and great joy; and ran to carry the tidings to his disciples.
9 Comme elles allaient l'annoncer à ses disciples, voici que Jésus vint à leur rencontre en disant: « Réjouissez-vous! » Ils vinrent se saisir de ses pieds et l'adorèrent.
And as they were going to tell the disciples, then behold Jesus met them saying, Hail! And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.
10 Alors Jésus leur dit: « N'ayez pas peur. Allez dire à mes frères qu'ils doivent aller en Galilée, et là ils me verront. »
Then saith Jesus to them, Be not affrighted: go, tell my disciples that they go into Galilee, there shall they see me.
11 Comme ils s'en allaient, voici que des gardes entrèrent dans la ville et racontèrent aux principaux sacrificateurs tout ce qui s'était passé.
And as they were going, some of the guards who were come into the city, had told the chief priests all things which had happened.
12 Après s'être réunis avec les anciens et avoir délibéré, ils donnèrent aux soldats une grosse somme d'argent,
And being assembled with the elders, and having held a council, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers,
13 en disant: « Dites que ses disciples sont venus de nuit et l'ont enlevé pendant que nous dormions.
saying, Report, that his disciples coming by night stole him away, while you were asleep.
14 Si cela vient aux oreilles du gouverneur, nous le persuaderons et vous libérerons de tout souci. »
And if this comes to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him, and preserve you harmless.
15 Ils prirent donc l'argent et firent ce qu'on leur avait dit. Ce proverbe s'est répandu parmi les Juifs et se perpétue jusqu'à aujourd'hui.
So they took the money, and did as they were instructed. And this account is circulated among the Jews to this day.
16 Les onze disciples se rendirent en Galilée, sur la montagne où Jésus les avait envoyés.
Then the eleven disciples went into Galilee, to the mountain, where Jesus had ordered them.
17 Quand ils le virent, ils se prosternèrent devant lui; mais quelques-uns doutèrent.
And when they saw him, they worshipped him. Still some doubted.
18 Jésus s'approcha d'eux et leur parla ainsi: « Tout pouvoir m'a été donné dans le ciel et sur la terre.
Then Jesus approaching, spake to them, saying, All power is given me in heaven and upon earth.
19 Allez, faites de toutes les nations des disciples, baptisez-les au nom du Père, du Fils et du Saint-Esprit,
Go therefore, make disciples among all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 et apprenez-leur à observer tout ce que je vous ai prescrit. Et voici, je suis avec vous tous les jours, jusqu'à la fin du monde. » Amen. (aiōn g165)
teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo! I am with you at all times even to the end of the world. Amen. (aiōn g165)
