Lévitique 1
1 Yahvé appela Moïse et lui parla depuis la tente d'assignation, en disant:
Yahweh called to Moses and spoke to him from the tent of meeting, saying,
2 Parle aux enfants d'Israël et dis-leur: « Quand quelqu'un d'entre vous présentera une offrande à Yahvé, il offrira une offrande de bétail, du gros et du menu bétail.
“Speak to the people of Israel and tell them, 'When any man from among you brings an offering to Yahweh, bring as your offering one of your animals, either from the herd or from the flock.
3 "'Si son offrande est un holocauste de bétail, il offrira un mâle sans défaut. Il l'offrira à l'entrée de la Tente d'assignation, afin qu'il soit agréé devant Yahvé.
If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he must offer a male without blemish. He is to offer it at the entrance of the tent of meeting, so that it may be accepted before Yahweh.
4 Il posera sa main sur la tête de l'holocauste, et celui-ci sera agréé pour lui, afin qu'il fasse l'expiation.
He is to lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and then it will be accepted on his behalf to make atonement for himself.
5 Il égorgera le taureau devant Yahvé. Les fils d'Aaron, les prêtres, présenteront le sang et en feront l'aspersion tout autour de l'autel qui est à l'entrée de la tente de la Rencontre.
Then he must kill the bull before Yahweh. Aaron's sons, the priests, will present the blood and sprinkle it on the altar that is at the entrance of the tent of meeting.
6 Il dépouillera l'holocauste et le coupera en morceaux.
Then he must skin the burnt offering and cut it to pieces.
7 Les fils du sacrificateur Aaron mettront du feu sur l'autel et poseront du bois en ordre sur le feu;
Then the sons of Aaron the priest will put fire on the altar and place wood to feed the fire.
8 et les fils d'Aaron, les sacrificateurs, poseront les morceaux, la tête et la graisse en ordre sur le bois qui est sur le feu, sur l'autel;
Aaron's sons, the priests, are to place the pieces, the head and the fat, in order on the wood that is on the fire which is on the altar.
9 mais il lavera à l'eau les entrailles et les jambes. Le prêtre brûlera tout cela sur l'autel, comme holocauste, une offrande consumée par le feu, d'une odeur agréable à Yahvé.
But its inner parts and its legs he must wash with water. Then the priest will burn everything on the altar as a burnt offering. It will produce a sweet aroma for me; it will be an offering made to me by fire.
10 "'Si son offrande provient du troupeau, des brebis ou des chèvres, pour un holocauste, il offrira un mâle sans défaut.
If his offering for the burnt offering is from the flock, one of the sheep or one of the goats, he must offer a male without blemish.
11 Il l'égorgera sur le côté nord de l'autel, devant Yahvé. Les fils d'Aaron, les prêtres, en répandront le sang tout autour de l'autel.
He must kill it on the north side of the altar before Yahweh. Aaron's sons, the priests, will sprinkle its blood on every side of the altar.
12 Il le coupera en morceaux, avec sa tête et sa graisse. Le prêtre les disposera en ordre sur le bois qui est sur le feu, sur l'autel,
Then he must cut it into pieces, with its head and its fat, and the priest will lay them in order on the wood that is on the fire, which is on the altar,
13 mais il lavera à l'eau les entrailles et les pattes. Le prêtre offrira le tout et le brûlera sur l'autel. C'est un holocauste, une offrande consumée par le feu, d'une odeur agréable à Yahvé.
but the inner parts and the legs he must wash with water. Then the priest will offer the whole, and burn it on the altar. It is a burnt offering, and it will produce a sweet aroma for Yahweh; it will be an offering made to him by fire.
14 "'Si son offrande à Yahvé est un holocauste d'oiseaux, il offrira son offrande de tourterelles ou de jeunes pigeons.
If his offering to Yahweh is to be a burnt offering of birds, then he must bring as his offering either a dove or a young pigeon.
15 Le prêtre l'amènera à l'autel, il lui essorera la tête et la brûlera sur l'autel; son sang se répandra sur le côté de l'autel;
The priest must bring it to the altar, wring off its head, and burn it on the altar. Then its blood must be drained out on the side of the altar.
16 il enlèvera son jabot et ses plumes et les jettera à côté de l'autel, à l'orient, à la place des cendres.
He must remove its crop with its contents, and throw it beside the altar on the east side, in the place for the ashes.
17 Il la déchirera par les ailes, mais il ne la séparera pas. Le prêtre la brûlera sur l'autel, sur le bois qui est sur le feu. C'est un holocauste, un sacrifice consumé par le feu, d'une odeur agréable à Yahvé.
He must tear it open by its wings, but he must not divide it into two parts. Then the priest will burn it on the altar, on the wood that is on the fire. It will be a burnt offering, and it will produce a sweet aroma for Yahweh; it will be an offering made to him by fire.
