Josué 15
1 Le sort de la tribu des fils de Juda, selon leurs familles, s'étendait jusqu'à la frontière d'Édom, jusqu'au désert de Tsin, au sud, à l'extrémité du midi.
This then was the lot of the tribe of the children of Iudah by their families: euen to the border of Edom and the wildernesse of Zin, Southward on the Southcoast.
2 Leur limite méridionale partait de l'extrémité de la mer Salée, de la baie qui regarde le sud;
And their South border was the salt Sea coast, from the point that looketh Southward.
3 elle partait au sud de la montée d'Akrabbim, passait par Zin, montait au sud de Kadesh Barnea, passait par Hezron, montait à Addar, et se tournait vers Karka;
And it went out on the Southside towarde Maaleth-akrabbim, and went along to Zin, and ascended vp on the Southside vnto Kadesh-barnea, and went along to Hezron, and went vp to Adar, and fet a compasse to Karkaa.
4 elle passait par Azmon, sortait au torrent d'Égypte, et se terminait à la mer. Telle sera votre limite méridionale.
From thence went it along to Azmon, and reached vnto the riuer of Egypt, and the end of that coast was on the Westside: this shall be your South coast.
5 La limite orientale était la mer Salée, jusqu'à l'extrémité du Jourdain. La limite du quart nord s'étendait depuis la baie de la mer jusqu'à l'extrémité du Jourdain.
Also the Eastborder shalbe the salt Sea, vnto the end of Iorden: and the border on the North quarter from the point of the Sea, and from the end of Iorden.
6 La limite montait à Beth Hogla, et passait au nord de Beth Araba; la limite montait à la pierre de Bohan, fils de Ruben.
And this border goeth vp to Beth-hogla, and goeth along by ye Northside of Beth-arabah: so the border from thence goeth vp to the stone of Bohan the sonne of Reuben.
7 La frontière montait à Debir, de la vallée d'Acor, et passait au nord, en regardant vers Gilgal, qui fait face à la montée d'Adummim, qui est au sud du fleuve. La frontière s'étendait jusqu'aux eaux d'En Shemesh et se terminait à En Rogel.
Againe this border goeth vp to Debir from the valley of Achor, and Northwarde, turning toward Gilgal, that lyeth before the going vp to Adummim, which is on the Southside of the riuer: also this border goeth vp to the waters of En-shemesh, and endeth at En-rogel.
8 La frontière montait par la vallée du fils de Hinnom jusqu'au côté du Jébusien (appelé aussi Jérusalem) au sud; et la frontière montait jusqu'au sommet de la montagne qui se trouve devant la vallée de Hinnom à l'ouest, qui est à l'extrémité de la vallée des Rephaïm au nord.
Then this border goeth vp to the valley of the sonne of Hinnom; on the Southside of the Iebusites: the same is Ierusalem. also this border goeth vp to the top of the mountaine that lyeth before the valley of Hinnom Westward, which is by the end of the valley of ye gyants Northward.
9 La frontière s'étendait depuis le sommet de la montagne jusqu'à la source des eaux de Nephtoah, et se prolongeait jusqu'aux villes de la montagne d'Ephron; la frontière s'étendait jusqu'à Baala (appelée aussi Kiriath Jearim);
So this border compasseth from the top of the mountaine vnto the fountaine of the water of Nephtoah, and goeth out to the cities of mount Ephron: and this border draweth to Baalah, which is Kiriath-iearim.
10 la frontière tournait de Baala vers l'ouest jusqu'à la montagne de Séir, passait du côté de la montagne de Jearim (appelée aussi Chesalon) au nord, descendait jusqu'à Beth Shemesh, et passait par Timnah
Then this border compasseth from Baalah Westward vnto mount Seir, and goeth along vnto the side of mount Iearim, which is Chesalon on the Northside: so it commeth downe to Bethshemesh, and goeth to Timnah.
11 La limite se prolongeait vers le nord jusqu'au côté d'Ékron; elle s'étendait jusqu'à Shikkeron, passait par la montagne de Baala, et se terminait à Jabneel; les sorties de la limite étaient vers la mer.
Also this border goeth out vnto the side of Ekron Northwarde: and this border draweth to Shicron, and goeth along to mount Baalah, and stretcheth vnto Iabneel: and the endes of this coast are to the Sea.
12 La limite occidentale s'étendait jusqu'au rivage de la grande mer. Telle est la frontière des fils de Juda, selon leurs familles.
And the Westborder is to the great Sea: so this border shalbe the bounds of the children of Iudah round about, according to their families.
13 Il donna à Caleb, fils de Jephunné, une part parmi les fils de Juda, selon le commandement de l'Éternel à Josué, à Kiriath Arba, du nom du père d'Anak (appelée aussi Hébron).
And vnto Caleb the sonne of Iephunneh did Ioshua giue a part among the children of Iudah, as the Lord commanded him, euen Kiriath-arba of the father of Anak, which is Hebron.
14 Caleb chassa les trois fils d'Anak: Schéshai, Ahiman et Talmaï, fils d'Anak.
And Caleb droue thence three sonnes of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the sonnes of Anak.
15 Il monta contre les habitants de Debir; or le nom de Debir était auparavant Kiriath Sepher.
And he went vp thence to the inhabitants of Debir: and the name of Debir before time was Kiriath-sepher.
16 Caleb dit: « Celui qui frappera Kiriath Sepher et la prendra, je lui donnerai ma fille Acsa pour femme. »
Then Caleb sayd, He that smiteth Kiriath-sepher, and taketh it, euen to him wil I giue Achsah my daughter to wife.
17 Othniel, fils de Kenaz, frère de Caleb, la prit; et il lui donna pour femme sa fille Acsa.
And Othniel, the sonne of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb tooke it: and he gaue him Achsah his daughter to wife.
18 Quand elle arriva, elle lui fit demander un champ à son père. Elle descendit de son âne, et Caleb dit: « Que veux-tu? »
And as she went in to him, she moued him, to aske of her father a fielde: and she lighted off her asse, and Caleb sayd vnto her, What wilt thou?
19 Elle dit: « Donne-moi une bénédiction. Parce que tu m'as établie dans le pays du Sud, donne-moi aussi des sources d'eau. » Il lui a donc donné les ressorts supérieurs et les ressorts inférieurs.
Then she answered, Giue me a blessing: for thou hast giuen mee the South countrey: giue me also springs of water. And hee gaue her the springs aboue and the springs beneath.
20 Tel fut l'héritage de la tribu des fils de Juda, selon leurs familles.
This shalbe the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Iudah according to their families.
21 Les villes les plus éloignées de la tribu des fils de Juda, vers la frontière d`Édom, au midi, étaient: Kabtseel, Eder, Jagur,
And the vtmost cities of the tribe of the children of Iudah, toward the coastes of Edom Southward were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Iagur,
22 Kinah, Dimona, Adada,
And Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah,
23 Kédesch, Hatsor, Ithnan,
And Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan,
24 Ziph, Telem, Bealoth,
Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth,
25 Hatsor Hadata, Kerioth Hetsron (appelée aussi Hatsor),
And Hazor, Hadattah, and Kerioth, Hesron (which is Hazor)
26 Amam, Shema, Moladah,
Amam, and Shema, and Moladah,
27 Hazar Gaddah, Heshmon, Beth Pelet,
And Hazar, Gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth-palet,
28 Hazar Shual, Beersheba, Biziothiah,
And Hasar-shual, and Beersheba, and Biziothiah,
29 Baala, Iim, Ezem,
Baalah, and Iim, and Azem,
30 Eltolad, Chesil, Hormah,
And Eltolad, and Chesil, and Hormah,
31 Ziklag, Madmannah, Sansannah,
And Ziklag, and Madmanna, and Sansannah,
32 Lebaoth, Shilhim, Ain et Rimmon. Toutes les villes sont au nombre de vingt-neuf, avec leurs villages.
And Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon: all these cities are twentie and nine with their villages.
33 Dans la plaine, Eshtaol, Zorah, Ashnah,
In the lowe countrey were Eshtaol, and Zoreah, and Ashnah,
34 Zanoah, En Gannim, Tappuah, Enam,
And Zanoah, and En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam,
35 Jarmuth, Adullam, Socoh, Azekah,
Iarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah,
36 Shaaraim, Adithaim et Gederah (ou Gederothaim); quatorze villes et leurs villages.
And Sharaim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim: fourteene cities with their villages.
37 Zénan, Hadasha, Migdal Gad,
Zenam, and Hadashah, and Migdal-gad,
38 Dilean, Mitspa, Joktheel,
And Dileam, and Mizpeh, and Ioktheel,
39 Lakish, Bozkath, Églon,
Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon,
40 Cabbon, Lahmam, Chitlish,
And Cabbon, and Lahmam, and Kithlish,
41 Gederoth, Beth Dagon, Naama et Makkéda; seize villes et leurs villages.
And Gederoth, Beth-dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah: sixteene cities with their villages.
42 Libna, Éther, Ashan,
Lebnah, and Ether, and Ashan,
43 Iphta, Ashna, Nezib,
And Iipthtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib,
44 Keïla, Achzib et Maréscha; neuf villes et leurs villages.
And Keilah, and Aczib, and Mareshah: nine cities with their villages.
45 Ékron, avec ses villes et ses villages;
Ekron with her townes and her villages,
46 depuis Ékron jusqu'à la mer, tous ceux qui sont près d'Asdod, avec leurs villages.
From Ekron, euen vnto the Sea, all that lyeth about Ashdod with their villages.
47 Asdod, ses villes et ses villages; Gaza, ses villes et ses villages; jusqu'au torrent d'Égypte, et la grande mer avec son littoral.
Ashdod with her townes and her villages: Azzah with her townes and her villages, vnto the riuer of Egypt, and the great Sea was their coast.
48 Dans la montagne: Shamir, Jattir, Socoh,
And in the mountaines were Shamir, and Iattir, and Socoh,
49 Dannah, Kiriath Sannah (qui est Debir),
And Dannah, and Kiriath-sannath (which is Debir)
50 Anab, Eshtemoh, Anim,
And Anab, and Ashtemoth, and Anim,
51 Goshen, Holon et Giloh; onze villes et leurs villages.
And Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh: eleuen cities with their villages,
52 Arab, Duma, Eshan,
Arab, and Dumah, and Eshean,
53 Janim, Beth Tappuah, Apheka,
And Ianum, and Beth-tappuah, and Aphekah,
54 Humtah, Kiriath Arba (appelée aussi Hébron), et Zior; neuf villes avec leurs villages.
And Humtah, and Kiriath-arba, (which is Hebron) and Zior: nine cities with their villages.
55 Maon, Carmel, Ziph, Juta,
Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Iuttah,
56 Jizreel, Jokdeam, Zanoa,
And Izreel, and Iokdeam, and Zanoah,
57 Kaïn, Gibéa et Timna; dix villes et leurs villages.
Kain, Gibeah, and Timnah: ten cities with their villages.
58 Halhul, Beth Zur, Gedor,
Halhul, Beth-zur, and Gedor,
59 Maarath, Beth Anoth, et Eltekon; six villes, et leurs villages.
And Maarah, and Beth-anoth, and Eltekon: sixe cities with their villages.
60 Kiriath Baal (appelée aussi Kiriath Jearim), et Rabba, deux villes et leurs villages.
Kiriath-baal, which is Kiriath-iearim, and Rabbah: two cities with their villages.
61 Dans le désert, Beth Araba, Middin, Secaca,
In the wildernes were Beth-arabah, Middin, and Secacah,
62 Nibshan, la ville du sel, et En Gedi; six villes avec leurs villages.
And Nibshan, and the citie of salt, and Engedi: sixe cities with their villages.
63 Quant aux Jébusiens, habitants de Jérusalem, les fils de Juda n'ont pas pu les chasser, mais les Jébusiens vivent avec les fils de Juda à Jérusalem jusqu'à ce jour.
Neuerthelesse, the Iebusites that were the inhabitants of Ierusalem, could not the children of Iudah cast out, but the Iebusites dwell with the children of Iudah at Ierusalem vnto this day.
