Isaïe 65
1 « Je suis interrogé par ceux qui n'ont pas demandé. Je suis trouvé par ceux qui ne m'ont pas cherché. J'ai dit: « Voyez-moi, voyez-moi », à une nation qui n'était pas appelée par mon nom.
I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name.
2 J'ai étendu mes mains tout le jour vers un peuple rebelle, qui marchent d'une manière qui n'est pas bonne, selon leurs propres pensées;
I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walks in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts;
3 un peuple qui me provoque continuellement en face, les sacrifices dans les jardins, et de brûler de l'encens sur des briques;
A people that provokes me to anger continually to my face; that sacrifices in gardens, and burns incense upon altars of brick;
4 qui sont assis parmi les tombes, et passer des nuits dans des endroits secrets; qui mangent de la viande de porc, et un bouillon de choses abominables est dans leurs vases;
Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine's flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;
5 qui disent: « Reste seul, ne vous approchez pas de moi, car je suis plus saint que vous. C'est de la fumée dans mon nez, un feu qui brûle toute la journée.
Which say, Stand by yourself, come not near to me; for I am holier than you. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burns all the day.
6 « Voici, c'est écrit devant moi: Je ne garderai pas le silence, mais il remboursera, oui, je rembourserai dans leur sein
Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom,
7 tes propres iniquités et les iniquités de tes pères ensemble », dit Yahvé, « qui ont brûlé de l'encens sur les montagnes, et m'ont blasphémé sur les collines. C'est pourquoi je mesurerai d'abord leur travail dans leur sein. »
Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, says the LORD, which have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom.
8 Yahvé dit, « Comme le vin nouveau se trouve dans la grappe, et l'un d'eux dit: « Ne le détruis pas, car il contient une bénédiction ». ainsi je ferai pour l'amour de mes serviteurs, pour que je ne les détruise pas tous.
Thus says the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one says, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants' sakes, that I may not destroy them all.
9 Je ferai sortir une descendance de Jacob, et de Juda un héritier de mes montagnes. Mes élus en hériteront, et mes serviteurs y habiteront.
And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.
10 Sharon sera un berceau de troupeaux, et la vallée d'Acor, un endroit où les troupeaux peuvent se coucher, pour mon peuple qui m'a cherché.
And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the valley of Achor a place for the herds to lie down in, for my people that have sought me.
11 « Mais vous, qui abandonnez Yahvé, qui oublient ma montagne sainte, qui préparent une table pour la Fortune, et qui remplissent de vin mélangé jusqu'au Destin;
But all of you are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number.
12 Je vous destine à l'épée, et vous vous prosternerez tous devant l'abattoir; parce que quand j'ai appelé, tu n'as pas répondu. Quand j'ai parlé, tu n'as pas écouté; mais tu as fait ce qui était mal à mes yeux, et choisi ce qui ne me plaisait pas. »
Therefore will I number you to the sword, and all of you shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, all of you did not answer; when I spoke, all of you did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.
13 C'est pourquoi le Seigneur Yahvé dit, « Voici que mes serviteurs vont manger, mais vous aurez faim; voici, mes serviteurs vont boire, mais vous aurez soif. Voici que mes serviteurs vont se réjouir, mais vous serez déçu.
Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but all of you shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but all of you shall be thirsty: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but all of you shall be ashamed:
14 Voici, mes serviteurs chanteront de joie de cœur, mais vous pleurerez de chagrin d'amour, et gémiront pour l'angoisse de l'esprit.
Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but all of you shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall wail for vexation of spirit.
15 Tu laisseras ton nom comme une malédiction pour mes élus, et le Seigneur Yahvé te tuera. Il appellera ses serviteurs par un autre nom,
And all of you shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay you, and call his servants by another name:
16 afin que celui qui se bénit dans la terre se bénisse dans le Dieu de vérité; et celui qui jure sur la terre jurera par le Dieu de la vérité; parce que les anciens problèmes sont oubliés, et parce qu'ils sont cachés à mes yeux.
That he who blesses himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that swears in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.
17 « Car voici, je crée de nouveaux cieux et une nouvelle terre; et on ne se souviendra plus des choses passées, ni ne viennent à l'esprit.
For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
18 Mais soyez heureux et réjouissez-vous à jamais de ce que j'ai créé; car voici, je crée Jérusalem pour qu'elle soit un délice, et son peuple une joie.
But be all of you glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
19 Je me réjouirai à Jérusalem, et je me réjouis de mon peuple; et la voix des pleurs et la voix des cris ne sera plus entendu en elle.
And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.
20 « Il n'y aura plus de nourrisson qui ne vit que quelques jours, ni un vieil homme qui n'a pas rempli ses jours; car l'enfant mourra à cent ans, et le pécheur âgé de cent ans sera maudit.
There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that has not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.
21 Ils construiront des maisons et les habiteront. Ils planteront des vignes et mangeront leurs fruits.
And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.
22 Ils ne construiront pas et un autre habitera. Ils ne vont pas planter et un autre manger; car les jours de mon peuple seront comme les jours d'un arbre, et mes élus jouiront longtemps du travail de leurs mains.
They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.
23 Ils ne travailleront pas en vain ni donner naissance à une calamité; car ils sont la descendance des bénis de Yahvé et leurs descendants avec eux.
They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.
24 Il arrivera qu'avant qu'ils n'appellent, je répondrai; et pendant qu'ils parlent encore, j'entendrai.
And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
25 Le loup et l'agneau paîtront ensemble. Le lion mangera de la paille comme le bœuf. La poussière sera la nourriture du serpent. Ils ne feront ni mal ni destruction sur toute ma montagne sainte ». dit Yahvé.
The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's food. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, says the LORD.
