Isaïe 63
1 Qui est celui qui vient d'Edom, avec des vêtements teints de Bozrah? Qui est celui qui est glorieux dans ses vêtements, marchant dans la grandeur de sa force? « C'est moi qui parle en justice, puissant pour sauver. »
Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, marching in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.
2 Pourquoi vos vêtements sont rouges, et tes vêtements comme celui qui foule dans la cuve à vin?
Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat?
3 « J'ai foulé seul le pressoir. Parmi les peuples, personne n'était avec moi. Oui, je les ai piétinés dans ma colère et je les ai piétinés dans ma colère. Leur sang est répandu sur mes vêtements, et j'ai taché tous mes vêtements.
I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the peoples there was no man with me: yea, I trod them in mine anger, and trampled them in my fury; and their lifeblood is sprinkled upon my garments, and I have stained all my raiment.
4 Car le jour de la vengeance était dans mon cœur, et l'année de mes rachetés est arrivée.
For the day of vengeance was in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.
5 J'ai regardé, et il n'y avait personne pour m'aider; et je m'étonne qu'il n'y ait personne à soutenir. C'est donc mon propre bras qui m'a sauvé. Ma propre colère m'a soutenu.
And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me.
6 J'ai foulé les peuples dans ma colère. et je les ai rendus ivres de ma colère. J'ai répandu leur sang sur la terre. »
And I trod down the peoples in mine anger, and made them drunk in my fury, and I poured out their lifeblood on the earth.
7 Je raconterai les bontés de l'Éternel. et les louanges de Yahvé, selon tout ce que Yahvé nous a donné, et la grande bonté envers la maison d'Israël, qu'il leur a donné selon sa miséricorde, et selon la multitude de ses bontés.
I will make mention of the lovingkindnesses of the LORD, [and] the praises of the LORD, according to all that the LORD hath bestowed on us; and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses.
8 Car il a dit: « Certainement, ils sont mon peuple, des enfants qui ne commettront pas de fautes; » Il est donc devenu leur Sauveur.
For he said, Surely, they are my people, children that will not deal falsely: so he was their saviour.
9 Dans toute leur affliction, il a été affligé, et l'ange de sa présence les a sauvés. Dans son amour et dans sa pitié, il les a rachetés. Il les a portés, et les a portées tous les jours d'autrefois.
In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.
10 Mais ils se sont rebellés et ont attristé son Saint-Esprit. Il s'est donc retourné et est devenu leur ennemi, et il a lui-même combattu contre eux.
But they rebelled, and grieved his holy spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, [and] himself fought against them.
11 Et il se souvint des jours d'autrefois, Moïse et son peuple, en disant, « Où est celui qui les a fait remonter de la mer avec les bergers de son troupeau? ". Où est celui qui a mis son Saint-Esprit au milieu d'eux? »
Then he remembered the days of old, Moses, [and] his people, [saying], Where is he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherds of his flock? where is he that put his holy spirit in the midst of them?
12 Qui a fait en sorte que son bras glorieux soit à la droite de Moïse? Qui a divisé les eaux devant eux, pour se faire un nom éternel?
that caused his glorious arm to go at the right hand of Moses? that divided the water before them, to make himself an everlasting name?
13 qui les a conduits à travers les profondeurs, comme un cheval dans le désert, pour qu'ils ne trébuchent pas?
that led them through the depths, as an horse in the wilderness, that they stumbled not?
14 Comme le bétail qui descend dans la vallée, L'Esprit de Yahvé les a fait se reposer. Vous avez donc conduit votre peuple pour vous faire un nom glorieux.
As the cattle that go down into the valley, the spirit of the LORD caused them to rest: so didst thou lead thy people, to make thyself a glorious name.
15 Regardez du haut du ciel, et voir depuis la demeure de ta sainteté et de ta gloire. Où sont votre zèle et vos actes puissants? Le désir ardent de ton cœur et ta compassion sont retenus envers moi.
Look down from heaven, and behold from the habitation of thy holiness and of thy glory: where is thy zeal and thy mighty acts? the yearning of thy bowels and thy compassions are restrained toward me.
16 Car tu es notre Père, même si Abraham ne nous connaît pas, et Israël ne nous reconnaît pas. Toi, Yahvé, tu es notre Père. Notre Rédempteur de toujours est ton nom.
For thou art our father, though Abraham knoweth us not, and Israel doth not acknowledge us: thou, O LORD, art our father; our redeemer from everlasting is thy name.
17 O Yahvé, pourquoi nous fais-tu errer loin de tes voies? et endurcir notre cœur face à ta crainte? Reviens pour le bien de tes serviteurs, les tribus de votre héritage.
O LORD, why dost thou make us to err from thy ways, and hardenest our heart from thy fear? Return for thy servants’ sake, the tribes of thine inheritance.
18 Ton peuple saint ne l'a possédé que peu de temps. Nos adversaires ont foulé ton sanctuaire.
Thy holy people possessed [it] but a little while: our adversaries have trodden down thy sanctuary.
19 Noussommes devenus comme ceux sur lesquels tu n'as jamais régné, comme ceux qui n'ont pas été appelés par ton nom.
We are become as they over whom thou never barest rule; as they that were not called by thy name.
