Isaïe 62
1 Pour l'amour de Sion, je ne me tairai pas, et à cause de Jérusalem, je ne me reposerai pas, jusqu'à ce que sa droiture brille comme l'aube, et son salut comme une lampe allumée.
For the sake of Zion will I not be silent, and for the sake of Jerusalem will I not be quiet; until its righteousness go forth as the brightness [of light], and its salvation as a burning torch.
2 Les nations verront ta justice, et tous les rois ta gloire. Vous serez appelé par un nouveau nom, que la bouche de Yahvé nommera.
And nations shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory; and men shall call thee by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall pronounce.
3 Tu seras aussi une couronne de beauté dans la main de Yahvé, et un diadème royal dans la main de ton Dieu.
And thou shalt be a crown of ornament in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
4 On ne vous appellera plus « abandonnés », et ton pays ne sera plus appelé Désolation; mais on t'appellera Hephzibah, et ton pays Beulah; car Yahvé prend plaisir à te voir, et votre terre sera mariée.
Thou shalt not be termed any more “Forsaken,” and thy land shall not be termed any more “Desolate;” for thou shalt be called “My delight in her” [[Chephzi-bah]], and thy land “Espoused” [[Be'ulah]]; for the Lord will have delight in thee, and thy land shall be espoused.
5 Car comme un jeune homme épouse une vierge, pour que vos fils vous épousent. Comme un jeune marié se réjouit de sa fiancée, ainsi ton Dieu se réjouira à ton sujet.
For as a young man espouseth a virgin, so shall thy sons espouse thee; and as the bridegroom is glad over the bride, so will be glad over thee thy God.
6 J'ai placé des sentinelles sur tes murs, Jérusalem. Ils ne seront jamais silencieux, ni le jour ni la nuit. Vous qui invoquez Yahvé, ne prenez pas de repos,
Over thy walls, O Jerusalem, have I appointed watchmen, all the day and all the night, continually, shall they not be silent: ye that make mention of the Lord, take ye no rest.
7 et ne lui donne aucun repos jusqu'à ce qu'il s'établisse, et jusqu'à ce qu'il fasse de Jérusalem une louange sur la terre.
And give him no rest, until he have established, and until he have set up Jerusalem as a praise on the earth.
8 Yahvé l'a juré par sa droite, et par le bras de sa force, « Je ne donnerai plus votre grain en pâture à vos ennemis, et les étrangers ne boiront pas le vin nouveau pour lequel vous avez travaillé,
Sworn hath the Lord by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, I will not give thy corn any more as food for thy enemies, and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy young wine for which thou hast labored;
9 mais ceux qui l'auront récoltée la mangeront et loueront Yahvé. Ceux qui l'auront recueillie la boiront dans les parvis de mon sanctuaire. »
But they who gather it shall eat it, and praise the Lord; and they who bring it together shall drink it in the courts of my sanctuary.
10 Passez, passez les portes! Préparez le chemin du peuple! Construisez, construisez l'autoroute! Rassemblez les pierres! Levez une bannière pour les peuples.
Pass, pass through the gates, make clear the way of the people, cast up, cast up the highway, remove away the stones, lift up a banner over the nations.
11 Voici que Yahvé proclame jusqu'aux extrémités de la terre: « Dis à la fille de Sion, Voici que votre salut arrive! Voici, sa récompense est avec lui, et sa récompense devant lui! »
Behold, the Lord hath caused to be heard unto the ends of the earth, “Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.”
12 Ils les appelleront « le peuple saint », Les rachetés de Yahvé ». Vous serez appelé « Recherché », Une ville non abandonnée ».
And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord; and thou shalt be called, Sought for, [[Derusha, ]] The city never forsaken.
