Isaïe 52
1 Réveille-toi, réveille-toi! Revêts ta force, Sion. Mets tes beaux habits, Jérusalem, la ville sainte, car désormais, les incirconcis et les impurs n'entreront plus chez vous.
Awake, awake, put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city; for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.
2 Secouez-vous de la poussière! Lève-toi, assieds-toi, Jérusalem! Libère-toi des liens de ton cou, fille captive de Sion!
Shake thyself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem; loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.
3 Car Yahvé dit: « Vous avez été vendus pour rien; et vous serez rachetés sans argent. »
For thus saith the LORD: Ye were sold for nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money.
4 Car le Seigneur Yahvé dit: « Mon peuple est d'abord descendu en Égypte pour y vivre; et l'Assyrien les a opprimés sans raison.
For thus saith the Lord GOD: My people went down aforetime into Egypt to sojourn there; and the Assyrian oppressed them without cause.
5 « Maintenant donc, que vais-je faire ici, dit Yahvé, « en voyant que mon peuple est enlevé pour rien? Ceux qui les dominent se moquent, dit Yahvé, « et mon nom est blasphémé continuellement toute la journée.
Now therefore, what do I here, saith the LORD, seeing that My people is taken away for nought? They that rule over them do howl, saith the LORD, and My name continually all the day is blasphemed.
6 C'est pourquoi mon peuple connaîtra mon nom. C'est pourquoi ils sauront en ce jour-là que je suis celui qui parle. Voici, c'est moi. »
Therefore My people shall know My name; therefore they shall know in that day that I, even He that spoke, behold, here I am.
7 Qu'ils sont beaux sur les montagnes, les pieds de celui qui apporte de bonnes nouvelles, qui publie la paix, qui apporte de bonnes nouvelles, qui proclame le salut, qui dit à Sion: « Ton Dieu règne! »
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of the messenger of good tidings, that announceth peace, the harbinger of good tidings, that announceth salvation; that saith unto Zion: 'Thy God reigneth!'
8 Tes sentinelles élèvent leur voix. Ensemble, ils chantent; car ils se verront les yeux dans les yeux quand Yahvé reviendra en Sion.
Hark, thy watchmen! they lift up the voice, together do they sing; for they shall see, eye to eye, the LORD returning to Zion.
9 Éclatez de joie! Chantez ensemble, tas de déchets de Jérusalem; car Yahvé a réconforté son peuple. Il a racheté Jérusalem.
Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem; for the LORD hath comforted His people, He hath redeemed Jerusalem.
10 Yahvé a dénudé son bras saint aux yeux de toutes les nations. Toutes les extrémités de la terre ont vu le salut de notre Dieu.
The LORD hath made bare His holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.
11 Départ! Partez! Sortez de là! Ne touchez pas à ce qui est impur! Sortez du milieu d'elle! Purifiez-vous, vous qui portez les vaisseaux de Yahvé.
Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, ye that bear the vessels of the LORD.
12 Car vous ne sortirez pas en hâte, vous ne partirez pas non plus en avion; car Yahvé vous précède, et le Dieu d'Israël sera votre arrière-garde.
For ye shall not go out in haste, neither shall ye go by flight; for the LORD will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rearward.
13 Voici, mon serviteur fera preuve de sagesse. Il sera exalté et élevé, et sera très élevé.
Behold, My servant shall prosper, he shall be exalted and lifted up, and shall be very high.
14 Tout comme beaucoup ont été étonnés par vous - son apparence était plus abîmée que celle de n'importe quel homme, et sa forme plus que celle des fils des hommes...
According as many were appalled at thee — so marred was his visage unlike that of a man, and his form unlike that of the sons of men —
15 ainsi il purifiera de nombreuses nations. Les rois lui fermeront la bouche; car ils verront ce qui ne leur avait pas été dit, et ils comprendront ce qu'ils n'avaient pas entendu.
So shall he startle many nations, kings shall shut their mouths because of him; for that which had not been told them shall they see, and that which they had not heard shall they perceive.
