Habacuc 3
1 Une prière du prophète Habacuc, sur une musique victorieuse.
A PRAYER OF THE PROPHET AMBACUM, WITH A SONG.
2 Yahvé, j'ai entendu parler de ta renommée. Je suis en admiration devant tes actes, Yahvé. Renouvelez votre travail au milieu des années. Au milieu des années, faites-le savoir. Dans la colère, tu te souviens de la miséricorde.
O Lord, I have heard your report, and was afraid: I considered your works, and was amazed: you shall be known between the two living creatures, you shall be acknowledged when the years draw near; you shall be manifested when the time is come; when my soul is troubled, you will in wrath remember mercy.
3 Dieu est venu de Teman, le Saint du mont Paran. (Selah) Sa gloire a couvert les cieux, et sa louange a rempli la terre.
God shall come from Thaeman, and the Holy One from the dark shady mount Pharan. (Pause)
4 Sa splendeur est comme le lever du soleil. Des rayons brillent de sa main, où son pouvoir est caché.
His excellence covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise. And his brightness shall be as light; [there were] horns in his hands, and he caused a mighty love of his strength.
5 La peste l'a précédé, et la peste suivaient ses pas.
Before his face shall go a report, and it shall go forth into the plains,
6 Il se tint debout, et il fit trembler la terre. Il a regardé, et a fait trembler les nations. Les anciennes montagnes se sont effondrées. Les collines séculaires se sont effondrées. Ses voies sont éternelles.
the earth stood at his feet and trembled: he saw, and the nations melted away: the mountains were violently burst through, the everlasting hills melted at his everlasting going forth.
7 J'ai vu les tentes de Cushan dans la détresse. Les habitations du pays de Madian ont tremblé.
Because of troubles I looked upon the tents of the Ethiopians: the tabernacles also of the land of Madiam shall be dismayed.
8 Les fleuves ont-ils déplu à Yahvé? était votre colère contre les rivières, ou ta colère contre la mer, que vous avez monté sur vos chevaux, sur tes chars de salut?
Was you angry, O Lord, with the rivers? or [was] your wrath against the rivers, or your anger against the sea? for you will mount on your horses, and your chariots are salvation.
9 Tu as découvert ton arc. Tu as appelé tes flèches assermentées. (Selah) Tu as fendu la terre avec des rivières.
Surely you did bend they bow at scepters, says the Lord. (Pause) The land of rivers shall be torn asunder.
10 Les montagnes t'ont vu, et elles ont eu peur. La tempête des eaux est passée. L'abîme a rugi et a levé les mains en l'air.
The nations shall see you and be in pain, [as you do] divide the moving waters: the deep uttered her voice, and raised her form on high.
11 Le soleil et la lune étaient immobiles dans le ciel. à la lumière de tes flèches pendant qu'ils partaient, à l'éclat de votre lance étincelante.
The sun was exalted, and the moon stood still in her course: your darts shall go forth at the light, at the brightness of the gleaming of your arms.
12 Tu as parcouru le pays avec fureur. Tu as battu les nations dans la colère.
You will bring low the land with threatening, and in wrath you will break down the nations.
13 Tu es sorti pour le salut de ton peuple, pour le salut de tes oints. Tu as écrasé la tête du pays de la méchanceté. Vous les avez déshabillés de la tête aux pieds. (Selah)
You went forth for the salvation of your people, to save your anointed: you shall bring death on the heads of transgressors; you has brought bands upon [their] neck. (Pause)
14 Tu as percé la tête de ses guerriers avec leurs propres lances. Ils sont venus comme un tourbillon pour me disperser, jubilant comme pour dévorer les malheureux en secret.
You did cut asunder the heads of princes with amazement, they shall tremble in it; they shall burst their bridles, [they shall be] as a poor man devouring in secret.
15 Tu as foulé la mer avec tes chevaux, le barattage des eaux puissantes.
And you do cause your horses to enter the sea, disturbing much water.
16 J'ai entendu, et mon corps a tremblé. Mes lèvres ont frémi à la voix. La pourriture entre dans mes os, et je tremble à ma place. car je dois attendre tranquillement le jour de la détresse, pour l'arrivée des gens qui nous envahissent.
I watched, and my belly trembled at the sound of the prayer of my lips, and trembling entered into my bones, and my frame was troubled within me; I will rest in the day of affliction, from going up to the people of my sojourning.
17 Car même si le figuier ne fleurit pas, ni de fruits dans les vignes, le travail de l'olive échoue, les champs ne produisent pas de nourriture, les troupeaux sont coupés du bercail, et il n'y a pas de troupeau dans les stalles,
For [though] the fig tree shall bear no fruit, and there shall be no produce on the vines; the labor of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall produce no food: the sheep have failed from the pasture, and there are no oxen at the cribs;
18 Mais je me réjouirai en Yahvé. Je serai joyeux dans le Dieu de mon salut!
yet I will exult in the Lord, I will joy in God my Saviour.
19 Yahvé, l'Éternel, est ma force. Il rend mes pieds comme des pieds de cerf, et me permet d'aller dans les hautes sphères. Pour le directeur musical, sur mes instruments à cordes.
The Lord God is my strength, and he will perfectly strengthen my feet; he mounts me upon high places, that I may conquer by his song.
